A new freshwater opecoelid species, Sphaerostoma tamarae sp. nov., is described from Rhynchocypris percnura mantschurica caught in the Syumnyur Riv.r(Amur Riv.r basin,Russia). This parasite species differs from all other congeners in the distribution of the v.telline follicles(restricted to the hindbody) and the morphology of the v.ntral sucker(strongly protuberant). Molecular phylogenetic analysis based on 28S rRNA gene sequences and the morphological analysis allow to tentativ.ly assign the new species to the genus Sphaerostoma,without closing the question regarding the true genus affiliation of this species. In addition, the authors prov.de an argument for renaming the Plagioporinae to the Sphaerostomatinae.

The cationic polymerization of C4 mixed feed and isobutylene co-initiated by AlCl3xOiPr2,iBuAlC12xnOiPr2, and [emim]Cl- FeCl3xnOiPr2 ([emim]Cl: 1 -ethyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride) has been inv.stigated. AlCl3xOiPr2 co-initiated cationic polymerization of C4 mixed feed proceeds at a lower rate than polymerization of isobutylene affording polymers with higher molecular weight. Complexes of iBuAlCh with di isopropyl ether of different compositions are more suitable co-initiators than AlCl3xOiPr2 for the synthesis of highly reactiv. polyisobutylene (HR PIB) from C4 mixed feed due to their higher activ.ty in the polymerization as well as possibility to prepare polyisobutylenes with lower molecular weight and higher content of exo-olefin end groups. Howev.r, iBuA1C12 needs activ.ting v.a addition of external water (initiator) and/or interaction with salts hydrates in order to increase the reaction rate and the saturated monomer conv.rsion.[Emim]Cl-FeC13/iPr2O is a quite promising catalyst for the preparation of HR PIB with high exo-olefin end group content (> 80%) and relativ.ly low polydispersity (Mw/Mn v.a cationic polymerization of C4 mixed feed. The sonication of reaction mixture in case of using [emim]Cl-FeCh allowed increasing the reaction rate and decreasing the molecular weight.

The brain is an expensiv. tissue in terms of energy *** composes about 2%of body mass and consumes about 20%of all oxygen and calories(Fedorov.ch and Waseem,2018).For neurons,glucose is the primary energy substrate,although they are able to use ketone bodies,pyruv.te and lactate(Fedorov.ch and Waseem,2018).All these compounds can be metabolized directly in the Krebs cycle,bypassing ***,they are often termed non-glycolytic energy *** of all potential non-glycolytic substrates,lactate is the most physiological(Magistretti and Allaman,2018).Ketone bodies could reach concentrations in blood plasma and cerebrospinal fluid which are sufficient to meet metabolic demands of neurons only under specific non-physiological conditions,e.g.,ketogenic diet and starv.tion,or during *** contrast,the normal plasma lev.l of lactate is about 1.5 mM and can reach 20 mM during intensiv. physical exercise.

The burgeoning field of atomic-lev.l material control holds great promise for future breakthroughs in quantum and memristiv. dev.ce manufacture and fundamental studies of atomic-scale chemistry. Realization of atom-by-atom control of matter represents a complex and ongoing challenge. Here, we explore the feasibility of controllable motion of dopant Si atoms at the edges of graphene v.a the sub-atomically focused electron beam in a scanning transmission electron microscope. We demonstrate that the graphene edges can be cleaned of Si atoms and then subsequently replenished from nearby source material. It is also shown how Si edge atoms may be “pushed” from the edge of a small hole into the bulk of the graphene lattice and from the bulk of the lattice back to the edge. This is accomplished through sputtering of the edge of the graphene lattice to bury or uncov.r Si dopant atoms. Finally, we demonstrate e-beam mediated hole healing and incorporation of dopant atoms. These experiments form an initial step toward general atomic-scale material control.
