Mitochondrial disease currently received an increasing concern. However, the case-control design commonly adopted in this field is vulnerable to genetic background, population stratification and poor data quality. Although the phylogenetic analysis could help solve part of these problems, it has not received adequate attention. This paper is a review of this method as well as its application in mito- chondrial disease study.

This paper presents the result and analysis of the composition of energy loss occurring in the hydro turbine. Two new types of energy losses,namely the hydraulic loss in the flow channel and the impact loss,are defined. All losses within the hydro turbine are divided into four types and the loss coefficients are defined accordingly. Expressions or characteristic descriptions of these losses as well as the calibration method of the loss coefficients are presented. Furthermore,the torque model of the hydro turbine where the inner energy loss takes place is established. The developed model has been used to calculate the power loss due to the mechanical friction generated by the units’ rotation to solve the difficulty of measurements of the mechanical friction loss in the hydro turbine. The definition of the impact loss explains the phenomenon that the loss of no-load is greater than that of the rated operation. A set of conversion coefficients are defined using the characteristic parameters at the rated operation,which are used to transform the parameters in the torque model into those that are easily measured. Therefore,the expression of the hydro turbine power is converted into a function that has the main servomotor displacement as its single variable. This makes the proposed model be convenient to use. Finally,the proposed model and methods are calibrated and verified using the measured data of a hydropower plant. Good agreement between the modeled results and the measurements indicates that the proposed model can represent the inner energy loss characteristics of the hydro turbine.

The Yingfeng rapakivi granite on the north flank of Qaidam is a newly discovered Proterozoic rapakivi pluton in china, which was found after the discovery of Shachang rapakivi in Miyun County, Beijing and Kuandian rapakivi in Jilin province. Yingfeng rapakivi pluton is ex-posed on the north side of the suture belt between Qinling-Kunlun orogenic belt and North china plate. U-Pb zircon isotopic dating and Ar-Ar isotopic dating of both hornblende and K-feldspar from the Yingfeng rapakivi granite have been conducted. The results show that the age of (1776±33)Ma at the upper intercept in Concorde diagram represents the age of formation of the plu-ton, whereas the age of (52. 2.1) Ma at the lower intercept and Ar-Ar mineral dating of horn-blende and K-feldspar correspond to the age of a later event affecting the pluton, suggesting that Yingfeng pluton has ever been affected by strong regional Caledonian-Hercynian tectonic movement after its formation. The discovery of middle Proterozoic Yingfeng rapakivi granite pro-vides a petrologic evidence for the timing of cratonization of both the continental crust basement in western china and the basement of the North china plate and for a rifting event taking place in the mid-Proterozoic, suggesting that an amalgamation of ancient china continents had ever happened during the L liang Movement?between the early Proterozoic and the mid-Proterozoic.

The generalization ability of classification is often closely related to both the intra-class compactness and the inter-class *** to the fact that many current dimensionality reduction methods, regarded as a pre-processor, often lead to the poor classification performance on real-life data, in this paper, a new data preprocessing technique called manifold contraction(MC) is proposed for the classification-oriented learning *** main motivation behind MC lies in seeking a proper mapping of contracting the given multiple-manifold data such that the ratio of the intra-class to the inter-class scatters is ***, in order to properly control the contraction level in MC, an adaptive MC(AMC) criterion is developed in the semi-supervised *** to its generality, MC can be not only applied in original space and reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS), but also easily incorporated with dimensionality reduction method for further improvement of classification *** final experimental results show that MC, as a data preprocessor, is effective and promising in the subsequent classification learning, especially in small-size labeled sample case.

K, R = 0.0454 and wR = 0.1010 for 12.8 observed reflections with I > 2.(I); and those for 2. monoclinic, space group C2.c, a = 13.35(2., b = 10.806(15), c = 18.06(2. , β = 110.34(2.? INTRODUCTIONChronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a serious problem because of its world wide distribution and possible adverse sequelae ,such as cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma .The World Health Organization estimates that HBV has infected mord than 350 million people worldwide ,and up to 2.% of them will become chromic carricrs and will be at significant risk for cirrhosis and HCC .The ultimate goal of the therapy for chronic hepatitis B is to prevent progression to cirrhosis and to prevent development of HCC.
