Several features of drug-induced mucosal alterations have been observed in the upper gastrointestinal tract,i.e.,the esophagus,stomach,and *** include pill-induced esophagitis,desquamative esophagitis,worsening of gastroesophageal reflux,chemotherapy-induced esophagitis,proton pump inhibitor-induced gastric mucosal changes,medication-induced gastric erosions and ulcers,pseudomelanosis of the stomach,olmesartan-related gastric mucosal inflammation,lanthanum deposition in the stomach,zinc acetate hydrate tabletinduced gastric ulcer,immune-related adverse event gastritis,olmesartan-associated sprue-like enteropathy,pseudomelanosis of the duodenum,and lanthanum deposition in the *** endoscopists,acquiring accurate knowledge regarding these diverse drug-induced mucosal alterations is crucial not only for the correct diagnosis of these lesions but also for differential diag-nosis of other *** minireview aims to provide essential information on druginduced mucosal alterations observed on esophagogastroduodenoscopy,along with representative endoscopic images.

Understanding aerosol-vegetation interactions is vital in ***,the interactions remain elusive partly due to the lack of suitable plant growth chamber ***,deposition of submicron particles on leaf surfaces is challenging due to its low deposition velocities compared to larger *** this work,we present a plant-growth chamber that was used to study the effect of sub-micron black carbon(BC)particles on the growth and photosynthesis of *** chamber system simultaneously enables the growth of multiple plants in pots and the deposition of submicron particles onto *** spraying methods assisted by ultrasonic and electrostatic forces were employed as aerosol generators to realize the particle *** flow regime inside the chamber was numeri-cally calculated to predict the transportation of aerosol particles,suggesting the optimal operating conditions of the *** gas-phase particle size distribution measurements showed that gener-ated BC particles were suspended in submicron diameter *** aerosol generators were examined in the chamber using three conductor and insulator substrates as a model of plant *** observations and spectroscopic analysis ascertained that submicron BC particles generated from our generators were deposited on all substrate *** the developed chamber system,systematic studies can be performed to advance the fundamental understanding of aerosol-vegetation interactions.

This paper reviews recent progress made toward modeling of cavitation and numerical simulation of cavitating water jets. Properties of existing cavitation models are discussed and a compressible mixture flow method for the numerical simulation of high- speed water jets accompanied by intensive cavitation is introduced. Two-phase fluids media of cavitating flow are treated as a homo- geneous bubbly mixture and the mean flow is computed by solving Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes （RANS） equations for com- pressible fluid. The intensity of cavitation is evaluated by the gas volume fraction, which is governed by the compressibility of bubble-liquid mixture corresponding to the status of mean flow field. Numerical results of cavitating water jet issuing from an orifice nozzle are presented and its applicability to intensively cavitating jets is demonstrated. However, the effect of impact pressure caused by collapsing of bubbles is neglected, and effectively coupling of the present compressible mixture flow method with the dynamics of bubbles remains to be a challenge.

During high power disk laser welding, the high-speed photography was used to measure the dynamic images of the laser-induced plume at different laser welding speeds. Various plume features （area, height and brightness） were extracted from the images by the color space clustering algorithm. Combined with observation on the surface and the cross sections of welding samples, the effect of welding speed on welding stability was analyzed. From the experimental results, it was found that these features of plume could reflect the welding state. Thus changes of the plume features corresponded to different welding speeds, which was helpful for monitoring the laser welding stability.

Focused on the unsteady behavior of high-speed water jets with intensive cavitation a numerical analysis is performed by applying a practical compressible mixture flow bubble cavitation model with a simplified estimation of bubble radius. The mean flow of two-phase mixture is calculated by unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes （URANS） for compressible flow and the intensity of cavitation in a local field is evaluated by the volume fraction of gas bubbles whose radius is estimated with a simplified Rayleigh- Plesset equation according to pressure variation of the mean flow field. High-speed submerged water jet issuing from a sheathed sharp-edge orifice nozzle is treated. The periodically shedding of cavitation clouds is captured in a certain reliability compared to experiment data of visualization observation and the capability to capture the unsteadily shedding of cavitation clouds is demonstrated. The results demonstrate that cavitation takes place near the entrance of nozzle throat and cavitation cloud expands consequentially while flowing downstream. Developed bubble clouds break up near the nozzle exit and shed downstream periodically along the shear layer. Under the effect of cavitation bubbles the decay of core velocity is delayed compared to the case of no-cavitation jet.

This paper presents a hysteresis mathematical model of a shape memory alloy(SMA)actuator for feedforward hysteresis *** hysteresis model represents the relation between temperature,stress,and electric ***,based on the laws of thermodynamics,the hysteresis model of the SMA actuator is ***,the inverse of the hysteresis model is obtained to produce a compensator for non‐linear characteristics such as hysteresis and ***,the parameters of the hysteresis model are obtained from each experiment under constant load and constant temperature,and the model validity is confirmed by comparing experimentally obtained ***,the inverse model is applied to a part of feedforward hysteresis *** order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model as hysteresis compensator,an electrical resistance control using feedback-feedforward control was conducted by numerical *** simulation results indicate advantages of the proposed mathematical model in hysteresis compensation of SMA actuator,and demonstrate that the model is capable of handling load fluctuation.

When a sample’s X-ray diffraction pattern(XRD)is measured,the corresponding crystal structure is usually determined by searching for similar XRD patterns in the ***,if a similar XRD pattern is not found,it is tremendously laborious to identify the crystal structure even for *** case commonly happens when researchers develop novel and complex *** this study,we propose a crystal structure creation scheme that reproduces a given XRD *** employed a combinatorial inverse design method using an evolutionary algorithm and crystal morphing(Evolv&Morph)supported by Bayesian optimization,which maximizes the similarity of the XRD patterns between target one and those of the created crystal *** sixteen different crystal structure systems with twelve simulated and four powder target XRD patterns,Evolv&Morph successfully created crystal structures with the same XRD pattern as the target(cosine similarity 99%for the simulated ones and>96%the experimentally measured ones).Furthermore,the present method has merits in that it is an automated crystal structure creation scheme,not dependent on a *** believe that Evolv&Morph can be applied not only to determine crystal structures but also to design materials for specific properties.

A novel method for measuring differences of microstructure by advanced use of the Faraday magneto-optical effect is proposed. Two groups of YAG laser welds on Q235 have been investigated in order to compare MO imaging and traditional methods. Microstructure images have been compared with MO images, and MO diagrams display different colors and gray scales for the base metal, the weld zone, and the heat affected zone. Experimental results indicate that the welded joint microstructure can be inspected by MO imaging without metallographic preparation.
