Deep Learning Approach for Cosmetic Product Detection and Classification

＜正＞ Technical framework regarding a long-term national water resources research project is under establishment in Korea since 2001. The main purpose of the New Frontier Project （2001 - 2010） is to secure needed water resources in a sustainable manner by developing and implementing advanced water management technology. As part of these efforts, decision support tools for integrated water management are being developed considering water quantity and water quality simultaneously. During the 1st stage of the research （2001 - 2004）, a data base centered modeling system for long term and short term river basin reservoirs system operational planning is being developed for the Geum river basin;a basinwide continuous rainfall-runoff analysis model, reservoirs system simulation and optimization models, river and reservoir water quality simulation models and real time water information system. This paper pertains the needs, objectives, and the formulated framework of the developing decision support tools with the future implementation plan.

As the amount of online video content is increasing,consumers are becoming increasingly interested in various product names appearing in videos,particularly in cosmetic-product names in videos related to fashion,beauty,and ***,the identification of such products by using image recognition technology may aid in the identification of current commercial *** this paper,we propose a two-stage deep-learning detection and classification method for cosmetic ***,variants of the YOLO network are used for detection,where the bounding box for each given input product is predicted and subsequently cropped for *** use four state-of-the-art classification networks,namely ResNet,InceptionResNetV2,DenseNet,and EfficientNet,and compare their ***,we employ dilated convolution in these networks to obtain better feature representations and improve *** experiments demonstrate that YOLOv3 and its tiny version achieve higher speed and ***,the dilated networks marginally outperform the base models,or achieve similar performance in the worst *** conclude that the proposed method can effectively detect and classify cosmetic products.

Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap matching regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and N,N-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

Doped two-dimensional(2D)materials hold significant promise for advancing many technologies,such as microelectronics,optoelectronics,and energy ***,n-type 2D oxidized Si nanosheets,namely n-type siloxene(n-SX),are employed as Li-ion battery *** thermal evaporation of sodium hypophosphite at 275℃,P atoms are effectively incorporated into siloxene(SX)without compromising its 2D layered morphology and unique Kautsky-type crystal ***,selective nucleophilic substitution occurs,with only Si atoms being replaced by P atoms in the O_(3)≡Si-H *** resulting n-SX possesses two delocalized electrons arising from the presence of two electron donor types:(i)P atoms residing in Si sites and(ii)H *** doping concentrations are varied by controlling the amount of precursors or their mean free *** at 2000 mA g^(-1),the n-SX electrode with the optimized doping concentration(6.7×10^(19) atoms cm^(-3))delivers a capacity of 594 mAh g^(-1) with a 73%capacity retention after 500 *** improvements originate from the enhanced kinetics of charge transport processes,including electronic conduction,charge transfer,and solid-state *** approach proposed herein offers an unprecedented route for engineering SX anodes to boost Li-ion storage.

An analogue method(AM) is a nonparametric approach that has been applied to predict the future states of a dynamic system by following the evolution of the analogues in the historical archive. In this study, we proposed a hidden Markov model(HMM)framework for a modified analogue forecasting(MAF) approach for meteorological droughts in Korea. The unobservable(hidden) state process in the framework aims to model the underlying drought state, while the observation process was formed from the time series of the standardized precipitation index(SPI) as a drought index. Within the framework, the likelihood estimator was used as the measure of similarity between past SPI analogues and current data. The MAF approach was conducted on the selected analogues to make forecasts at lead times of one and three months. The proposed model was applied to five selected stations in Korea using the SPI data from 1973 to 2016. The forecasting performance of the proposed model was tested during the validation period(2003–2016) using several statistical criteria and it was compared to a persistence-based benchmark model. The results showed significant improvement in the forecasting capacity, and satisfactory performance for numerical SPI forecasting and categorical drought forecasting. The results also suggested that the proposed model was able to provide useful information for determining future drought categories for early drought warning with a lead time of up to three months.

A differential-speed rolling(DSR) was applied to AZ31 magnesium alloy sample at different rolling temperatures of 473,523,573,and 623 K with 1-pass and 2-pass *** microstructural evolution and mechanical properties of the deformed samples were *** rolling temperature was found to be an important parameter affecting the microstructural *** DSR at 473 K,the microstructure was more homogeneous than that obtained after deformation by equal-speed rolling(ESR).The fully recrystallized microstructures were generated after DSR at 573 and 623 *** to mechanical properties,the yield strength(YS) and ultimate tensile strength(UTS) decreased monotonously with increasing rolling *** contrast,the elongation of the DSR-deformed samples was improved as the rolling temperature *** strain hardening exponent(n) calculated by Hollomon equation increased with increasing the rolling temperature,which would explain an increase in the uniform elongation.

Vitamin D3 up-regulated protein 1 （VDUP1） is a multifunctional protein involved in maintaining cellular homeostasis. VDUP1 is induced by a variety of stresses. Inversely, VDUP1 is often reduced in various tumor tissues and cell lines. Over-expression of VDUP1 inhibits cell proliferation through cell cycle arrest. VDUP1 interacts with thioredoxin （Trx） and negatively regulates the expression and antioxidant function of Trx which is involved in redox regulation. VDUP1/ mice are more susceptible to carcinogenesis than wild-type mice and are defective in establishing immune system induding the development and function of natural killer cells. Furthermore, VDUP1^-/- mice show impaired Kreb cycle-mediated fatty acid utilization. In this review, we have discussed the multifunctional roles of VDUP1 in diverse cellular responses, in particular its relation to proliferation, apoptosis, differentiation, and diseases such as cancer and stress-related diseases.
