Objective:To identify unique immunogenic epitopes of Zika virus non-structural 1(NS1)antigen and produce immunoglobulin Y(IgY)for potential use in he diagnosis of of Zika virus ***:Immunogenic epitopes were identified using in silico B-cell epitope prediction.A synthetic peptide analog of the predicted epitope was used to induce antipeptide IgY production in hens which was purified using affinity *** of purified IgY and its binding specificity were performed by gel electrophoresis and ELISA,***:Out of the nine continuous epitopes identified,the sequence at position 193-208(LKVREDYSLECDpAVI)was selected and used to produce anti-peptide *** produced IgY was found to bind to the synthetic analog of the Zika virus NS1 immunogenic epitope but not to other flaviviruses and random peptides from other ***:In this study,we identified an immunogenic epitope unique to Zika virus that can be used to develop a serodiagnostic tool that specifically detect Zika virus infection.

Although they are polymorphic(multiphase)materials,both copper and silver are reliable Hugoniot standards,and thus it is necessary to establish an accurate analytic model of their principal *** we present analytic forms of their principal Hugoniots,as well as those of iridium and platinum,two“pusher”standards for shock-ramp experiments,over a wide range of *** are based on our new analytic model of the principal Hugoniot[Burakovsky et al.,***.132,215109(2022)].Comparison of the four Hugoniots with experimental and independent theoretical data(such data exist to very high pressures for both copper and silver)demonstrates excellent ***,the new model for copper and silver can be considered as providing the corresponding Hugoniot standards over a wide pressure *** also suggest an approach for calculating the Grüneisen parameter along the Hugoniot and apply it to copper as a prototype,and our results appear to be in good agreement with the available data.

Explaining First-Year Seedling Survival from Quality Distributions of Bare-Root Seedlings and Microsites in Industrial plantations

First-year seedling survival impacts all subsequent management planning in plantation forestry. descriptive statistics of first-year seedling survival data from the Louisiana department of Agriculture and Forestry (LDAF) indicated that survival success reaches a plateau at between 79% - 85% under normal weather conditions. We provide an explanation for this plateau based on an analysis of seedling and microsite qualities involved in operational pine plantations by: 1) using a conceptual model demonstrating how variation in seedling quality and microsite quality interact to determine plantation survival, 2) presenting an example to characterize quality distributions of seedling and microsite qualities, and 3) comparing model outcomes based on measured distributions to realistic values of first-year survival. Simulation results indicated that consistent survival could result from random pairings of initial seedling and site quality distributions. LDAF data analysis indicated that 72% of seedlings were associated with the most frequent quality class that comprised seedlings with stem caliper between 3.2 to 4.7 mm and average stem height and volume of 25.75 cm and 3.43 cm3, respectively. Similarly, assessment of microsites at planting sites in Southeast Louisiana indicated that 48% of planted seedlings were associated with the most frequent microsite quality class which supported first-year height increment between 9 to 29 cm. Modelling of current operational practice indicated that using seedlings with larger caliper size would increase first year survival, but would result in higher establishment costs. The conceptual model could be modified to for use in other regions regardless of species types involved.

目的:评价在腰椎单纯性楔形压缩性骨折的稳定性的判断中单纯平片检查是否充分。对象与方法:对35例腰椎平片诊为单纯性楔形压缩性骨折的病人进行CT检查。分别根据Gehweiler及scotte所描述的平片及CT估价椎体骨折稳定性标准,来判断骨折的稳定与否,并进行统计学分析。结果:平片分析结果,35例中24例诊断为稳定性骨折,11例诊断为不稳定性骨折;CT分析结果诊断为稳定性骨折10例,不稳定性骨折25例。两种方法检查的结果有显著性差异(p<0.05)。结论:X线平片显示椎体单纯性压缩性骨折时均应做CT检查判断其稳定性。
