Additional Space Dimension in Bound Spaces Created by a Central Object

Space is a common entity in any static or dynamic system of objects whether the system is a bound system or an open system. Space is described by either measured or abstract dimensions. All motions, momentum and energy transfers take place in space in any given system of objects. By understanding space we understand many physical phenomena happening in space. One method is to observe similarities among phenomena, deduce possible relations and validate the relations through known results. De Broglie wavelength for matter waves is a typical theorized abstract dimension existence of which is established through experiments later. In this paper, the author studies two bound spaces in two bound systems, namely, atomic bound systems and gravitationally bound systems. Both these bound systems have similar characteristics;they have inertial masses in motion with constant kinetic energies for a given orbital distance around the respective central object. In atomic bound space, the central object is the central positive charge which plays the role of creating the bound space around it. In gravitationally bound space, it is the central mass that plays the same role. Thus for these two bound systems a common constitutive relation between the energies of inertial masses in kinetic state, their distance from central object could be present. By noticing the similarities of the two systems, the author proposes such a relation through introduction of an additional space dimension. The existence of the proposed additional dimension is proved in this paper by considering hydrogen atom for atomic bound space and by considering any gravitational system for gravitationally bound space. Though the magnitude of the additional space dimension is different in both the situations, the additional space dimension exists. Constraints Hindering the Adoption of Scientific Dairy Farming Practices by Members and Non-members of Dairy Co-operative Societies （DCS）/Milk Producer Institutions （MPI）

The present study was conducted in four districts of Telangana State of India with 120 respondents in which 60 were members and other 60 were non-members of DCSs （Dairy Co-operative Societies）/MPIs （Milk Producer Institutions）. Constraints perceived in dairy farming and suggestions elicited by members and non-members were noted, tabulated and analyzed. The major constraints perceived by half or more than half of members were scarcity of water （91.67%）, lack of green fodder （88.33%）, preferring NS （natural service） than AI （Artificial Insemination）（83.33%）, negligence in feeding pregnant and dry animals （81.37%）, insufficient loan amount （78.33%）, tendency to feed only grass and brans （71.67%）, lack of availability of sufficient labour （70.00%）, lack of remunerative price for milk （66.67%）, high cost of feed （61.67%）, lack of fodder conservation （55.00%） and high cost of animals （50.00%）. Whereas major constraints perceived by non-members were scarcity of water （96.67%）, lack of green fodder （93.33%）, preferring NS than AI （88.33%）, lack of availability of sufficient labour （85.00%）, negligence in feeding pregnant and dry animals （83.33%）, tendency to feed only grass and brans （78.33%）, high cost of animals （75.00%）, complex procedure for obtaining loans （71.67%） and high cost of feed （66.67%）. Suggestions elicited by members majorly were providing subsidy for purchase of animals/providing loans on par with the cost of animal （81.67%）, enhancing the procurement price （70.00%）, providing more incentives （60.00%）, encouraging calf rearing （58.33%） and conducting frequent animal health camps （50.00%）. In case of non-members major suggestions elicited were conducting frequent animal health camps （68.33%） and providing subsidy on purchase of animals/providing loans on par with the cost of animal （58.33%）. 以专家知识和经验为基础,综合影像光谱信息和其他辅助信息进行分类的基于知识的遥感影像解译方法,是提高遥感影像分类精度,实现自动解译的有效途径之一。然而,知识的获取一直是其得以广泛应用的“瓶颈”问题。以江苏省江宁试验区土地利用/覆被分类为例,利用分类回归树分析(CART)从训练样本数据集中发现分类规则,集成遥感影像的光谱特征、纹理特征和空间分布特征进行分类实验,并与传统的监督分类和逻辑通道分类方法进行比较。结果表明,基于CART的分类方法的精度基本在80%以上,与另两种方法相比,有了较大的提高,而且该算法复杂性低,效率高。由此说明,利用CART算法构建决策树获取的分类规则是合理的。它可以快速、有效地获取大量分类规则,是促进基于知识的遥感影像分类方法在土地利用/覆被分类中广泛应用的一项有效手段。

A Perspective on Traffic Measurement Tools in Wireless Networks

To understand the characteristics of the wireless networks, the network usage data from wireless measurement tools are essential. The data collection is a process of collecting the network time-varying information in standardized format and from standard interfaces. The characteristics include signal propagation, received signal quality, network traffic, active applications and mobility of the mobile terminal (MT). The purpose of the measurement is to collect vital data of the wireless network. There are several tools available for this purpose. The most widely used network measurement tools are client side measurement tool, Syslog, Simple Network Management protocol (SNMP), network sniffing, wireless sniffing. This paper discusses the different wireless measurement tools and their benefits and limitation these tools.

Biological Treatability of Low Total Dissolved Solids (LTDS) Using SBR as a Pre-Treatment for Reverse Osmosis

Huge quantity of effluents is generated from pharmaceutical industries attributed to their wide array of manufacturing and maintenance processes. Wastewaters from pharmaceuticals are characterized by the presence of solids, pH, temperature, biodegradable organic compounds, unusual turbidity, hardness and conductivity. Wastewater from pharmaceutical industry arising from various units is categorised as low total dissolved solids (LTDS) and high total dissolved solids (HTDS) based on the concentration of total dissolved solids. The present study focuses on treatment of LTDS using a combination of biological treatment followed by membrane process, reverse osmosis. This research presents the results from the pilot-scale studies focussed on biological treatment using SBR as pre-treatment for RO towards the removal of LTDS effluent. Three-month data on a daily basis is presented. The efficiency of the process was tested with a reduction in parameters like total dissolved solids and chemical oxygen demand. SBR tested for its suitability as a preliminary treatment for the Reverse Osmosis process during the months of August-October. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 9.72% and ?4.67% in the month of August. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 87.28% and 80.66% in the same month. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 0.84% and ?7.92% in the month of September. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 87.07% and 83.28% in the same month. The performance of RO tested for its efficiency in removing the TDS and COD after SBR as pre-treatment. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded as 94.93% and 93.27% in the month of August. The highest and least COD reduction was recorded as 96.84% and 90.19% in the same month. The highest and lowest TDS reduction was recorded at 96.53% and 91.25% in the month of October. Unified Performance and Availability Model for Call Admission Control in Heterogeneous Wireless Networks

The system capacity of wireless networks varies temporally. This may be due to the dynamic allocation of the channels and also the mobility of the users. The change in capacity will create greater impact on the system performance parameters. This variation of capacity particularly poses a greater challenge to the research community to ensure the Quality of Service (QoS) as it affects the call blocking probability which is one of the important QoS parameters. This paper proposes a performance model for call admission control and the availability model for a heterogeneous wireless network environment. The proposed model is able to handle three types of traffic considered for the study includes conversation traffic, interactive traffic and background traffic. The unified performance-availability model is developed using the Stochastic Area Networks (SAN). The performance of both analytical models and the SAN based performance-capacity models are verified by taking the call blocking probabilities for all the three types of traffics.

Soybean (<i>Glycine Max</i>) Leaf Extract Based Green Synthesis of Palladium Nanoparticles

Palladium (Pd) nanoparticles were synthesized using protein rich soybean leaf extract based biological process. Reduction of palladium ions by soybean leaf extract was examined by UV-visible spectroscopic technique. It was believed that the proteins and some of the amino acids that are exist in soybean leaf extracts were actively involved in the reduction of palladium ions. Further it was confirmed by Fourier transformations infrared spectroscopic (FTIR) analysis. These amino acids are not only involving in the reduction of palladium ions but also acting as surfactants that inhibits the rapid agglomeration. The phase purity of the synthesized palladium nanoparticles was investigated through X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis and the obtained pattern was compared with JCPDS data. Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) images of the palladium particles were recorded and the particle size was found to be ~15 nm.

沿海地带的红树林对生态和环境具有极其重要的价值。但为了发展经济,人们正无意识地破坏着红树林资源。淡水资源的过度抽取以及渔业、水产业和工业的盲目开发,人类居住区的扩张及废物排放等造成红树林资源的大面积剧减,因此,当前对红树林作用的科学认识是保护热带红树林生态系统的关键。为了确定Coringa红树林生态系统退化的原因,笔者通过在研究区野外调查和与当地居民交流获得不同土地利用类型、农作物种植成分、社区基本需求及其它可获得性的资料,分析了影响Coringa红树林生态系统的几个因素如土地利用类型,农作物种植成分的变化及其导致的生态平衡破坏;最后提出了一些解决生态经济和可持续利用红树林资源的方法。

Development and Validation of a Method for Simultaneous Determination of Metformin Hydrochloride and Sitagliptin Phosphate in a Formulation by RP-HPLC

Present study was aimed to develop and validate a reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography method for simultaneous determination of sitagliptin phosphate and metformin hy-drochloride in a marketed formulation. The drug separation was performed on Hibar-240, Li-chrosphere-100 C18 ODS (250 × 4.6 mm, 5 μm) column, at a flow rate of 1 mL/min. The mobile phase used was a mixture of methanol: potassium di-hydrogen phosphate buffer at a ratio of 70:30 v/v. The detection was carried out at a wavelength of 266 nm. The retention times of sitagliptin phosphate and metformin hydrochloride were found as 6.1 and 4.9 min respectively. Linear calibration curves with good correlation coefficients were obtained over the concentration ranges of 10 - 50 μg/mL for sitagliptin and 20 - 100 μg/mL for metformin. The limit of detection was 0.016 and 0.14 μg/mL and the limit of quantification was 0.048 and 0.42 μg/mL for sitagliptin phosphate and metformin hydrochloride respectively. Validation of the method demonstrated system selectivity, specificity, linearity, accuracy and precision. The developed method was found useful in the simultaneous analysis of sitagliptin phosphate and metformin hydrochloride in formulation.
