An Efficient and Robust Hand Gesture Recognition System of Sign Language Employing Finetuned Inception-V3 and Efficientnet-B0 Network

Hand Gesture Recognition(HGR)is a promising research area with an extensive range of applications,such as surgery,video game techniques,and sign language translation,where sign language is a complicated structured form of hand *** fundamental building blocks of structured expressions in sign language are the arrangement of the fingers,the orientation of the hand,and the hand’s position concerning the *** importance of HGR has increased due to the increasing number of touchless applications and the rapid growth of the hearing-impaired ***,real-time HGR is one of the most effective interaction methods between computers and *** a user-free interface with good recognition performance should be the goal of real-time HGR ***,Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)shows great recognition rates for different image-level classification *** is challenging to train deep CNN networks like VGG-16,VGG-19,Inception-v3,and Efficientnet-B0 from scratch because only some significant labeled image datasets are available for static hand gesture ***,an efficient and robust hand gesture recognition system of sign language employing finetuned Inception-v3 and Efficientnet-Bo network is proposed to identify hand gestures using a comparative small HGR *** show that Inception-v3 achieved 90%accuracy and 0.93%precision,0.91%recall,and 0.90%f1-score,respectively,while EfficientNet-B0 achieved 99%accuracy and 0.98%,0.97%,0.98%,precision,recall,and f1-score respectively.

In the present technological world,surveillance cameras generate an immense amount of video data from various sources,making its scrutiny tough for computer vision *** is difficult to search for anomalous events manually in thesemassive video records since they happen infrequently and with a low probability in real-world monitoring ***,intelligent surveillance is a requirement of the modern day,as it enables the automatic identification of normal and aberrant behavior using artificial intelligence and computer vision *** this article,we introduce an efficient Attention-based deep-learning approach for anomaly detection in surveillance video(ADSV).At the input of the ADSV,a shots boundary detection technique is used to segment prominent ***,The Lightweight ConvolutionNeuralNetwork(LWCNN)model receives the segmented frames to extract spatial and temporal information from the intermediate *** that,spatial and temporal features are learned using Long Short-Term Memory(LSTM)cells and Attention Network from a series of frames for each anomalous activity in a *** detect motion and action,the LWCNN received chronologically sorted ***,the anomaly activity in the video is identified using the proposed trained ADSV *** experiments are conducted on complex and challenging benchmark *** addition,the experimental results have been compared to state-ofthe-artmethodologies,and a significant improvement is attained,demonstrating the efficiency of our ADSV method.

Newcastle disease (ND) virus is a leading threat to commercial and domestic poultry in Pakistan. The virus infects and constitutes irreversible impairment to the nervous system, damages the respiratory system, and marks severe gastrointestinal lesions leading to heavy mortality in short-living birds and substantial losses in layers and breeders. The continuous emergence and evolution of the virus made it inclined to evade the humoral response and indirectly the circumvention of artificial active immunization. Newcastle disease is caused by the orthoavula genus of the paramyxoviridae family and has shown high genetic diversity even in their genotypes while information regarding enzootic trends of the virus is scanty in Pakistan. A total of 40 tracheal samples of NDV were collected from different commercial broiler farms and 11 isolates of NDV were identified. In the current study, we determined the genetic diversity of the Newcastle disease virus based on the partial sequencing of the fusion protein gene available in the NCBI database. Genetic analysis showed that seven isolates belonged to class I genotype VII and four belonged to class II genotype II. Interestingly, two isolates had epidemiological connections with vaccine-like class II genotype II. Our findings, concerning the recent outbreaks of class I genotype VII and class II genotype II of NDV in vaccinated commercial flocks, suggest possible potential partial mutations in the fusion protein gene. Genetic diversity and formation of the new cleavage site in an important neutralizing protein of wild strain are linked with the potency of artificial active immunization and a major cause of vaccine failure.

Use of clay as a pozzolona in high strength Portland cement and its thermal activation

In this investigation local clay from Cherat mines, Nowshera District, NWFP, Pakistan, has been tested as a pozzolanic material in high strength Portland cement. Thermal treatments were performed as a means of activation of the clay. It was found that thermal treatment of the clay can increase its pozzolanic activity. Different blended mortars, containing different amounts of clay, activated at different temperatures were studied for compressive strength, consistency, and setting times. It was concluded that the mechanical properties of the blended cements were mainly governed by the percentage of incorporation of the calcined clay. Blended cement composition has been for-mulated, with optimal results of 20% calcined clay at a temperature of 600℃.

Requirements elicitation is a fundamental phase of software development in which an analyst discovers the needs of different stakeholders and transforms them into *** phase is cost-and time-intensive,and a project may fail if there are excessive costs and schedule ***-19 has affected the software industry by reducing interactions between developers and *** a lack of interaction is a key reason for the failure of software *** can also fail when customers do not know precisely what they ***,selecting the unsuitable elicitation technique can also cause project *** present study,therefore,aimed to identify which requirements elicitation technique is the most cost-effective for large-scale projects when time to market is a critical issue or when the customer is not *** that end,we conducted a systematic literature review on requirements elicitation *** primary studies identified introspection as the best technique,followed by survey and *** finding suggests that introspection should be the first choice of elicitation technique,especially when the customer is not available or the project has strict time and cost ***,introspection should also be used as the starting point in the elicitation process of a large-scale project,and all known requirements should be elicited using this technique.

This paper covers the detailed version of the potential raw material deposits at Darukhula and the adjacent areas of Nizampur, the manufacturing of high-strength Portland cement samples from the same material and comparison of the physical and chemical parameters for resulting cement with British and Pakistan standard specifications, which include compressive strength, setting time, consistency, lechatelier expansion, Blaine and insoluble residue. It was found that the raw material available in the study area meets the standard specifications and the area is feasible for the cement plant installation. The area can provide raw material which is quite sufficient for the running of a cement plant.

Chemical study of limestone and clay for cement manufacturing in Darukhula,Nizampur District,Nowshera,North West Frontier Province(N.W.F.P.),Pakistan

Limestone and clay samples were collected from Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District,Nowshera,N.W.F.P.,Pakistan,and analyzed for different parameters in order to search for new reserves of suitable material for the manufacture of different types of cements in *** was found that the area under study contains three types of limestones,including high grade limestone,Darukhula limestone and siliceous limestone,which contain 53%,49.03% and 45.19% CaO,respectively,and three types of clay,including maroon color,yellow to yellowish-green color and green color clay containing 57.76%,65.47% and 61.24% SiO2,*** analysis of the limestone and clay samples collected from the deposits in the area under study showed that all the elements found in these samples are within the range of permissible limits for the production of high-strength Portland cement,sulphate resisting cement and white *** paper covers the detailed version of the potential raw material deposits at Darukhula and adjoining areas of the Nizampur District.

A Bio-Inspired Global Finite Time Tracking Control of Four-Rotor Test Bench System

A bio-inspired global finite time control using global fast-terminal sliding mode controller and radial basis function network is presented in this article,to address the attitude tracking control problem of the three degree-of-freedom four-rotor hover *** proposed controller provides convergence of system states in a predetermined finite time and estimates the unmodeled dynamics of the four-rotor *** model of the four-rotor system is derived with Newton’s force *** unknown dynamics of four-rotor systems are estimated using Radial basis *** bio-inspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller is proposed to provide chattering free finite time error convergence and to provide optimal tracking of the attitude angles while being subjected to unknown *** global stability proof of the designed controller is provided on the basis of Lyapunov stability *** proposed controller is validated by(i)conducting an experiment through implementing it on the laboratory-based hover system,and(ii)through *** of the proposed control scheme is also compared with classical and intelligent *** performance comparison exhibits that the designed controller has quick transient response and improved chattering free steady state *** proposed bioinspired global fast terminal sliding mode controller offers improved estimation and better tracking performance than the traditional *** addition,the proposed controller is computationally cost effective and can be implanted on multirotor unmanned air vehicles with limited computational processing capabilities.

Localisation of machines in harsh Industrial Internet of Things(IIoT)environment is necessary for various ***,a novel localisation algorithm is proposed for noisy range measurements in IIoT *** position of an unknown machine device in the network is estimated using the relative distances between blind machines(BMs)and anchor machines(AMs).Moreover,a more practical and challenging scenario with the erroneous position of AM is considered,which brings additional uncertainty to the final position ***,the AMs selection algorithm for the localisation of BMs in the IIoT network is *** those AMs will participate in the localisation process,which increases the accuracy of the final location ***,the closed‐form expression of the proposed greedy successive anchorization process is derived,which prevents possible local convergence,reduces computation,and achieves Cramér‐Rao lower bound accuracy for white Gaussian measurement *** results are compared with the state‐of‐the‐art and verified through numerous simulations.
