Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the second cause of cancer-related *** diagnosis of HCC depends mainly on-fetoprotein,which is limited in its diagnostic and screening *** is an urgent need for a biomarker that detects early HCC to give the patients a chance for curative *** targets of therapy could enhance survival and create future alternative curative *** silico analysis provides both;discovery of biomarkers,and understanding of the molecular pathways,to pave the way for treatment *** review discusses the role of in silico analysis in the discovery of biomarkers,molecular pathways,and the role the author has contributed to this area of *** also discusses future aspirations and current limitations.A literature review was conducted on the topic using various databases(PubMed,Science Direct,and Wiley Online Library),searching in various reviews,and editorials on the topic,with overviewing the author’s own published and unpublished *** review discussed the steps of the validation process from in silico analysis to in vivo validation,to incorporation into clinical practice *** addition,reviewing the recent lines of research of bioinformatic studies related to *** conclusion,the genetic,molecular and epigenetic markers discoveries are hot areas for HCC *** will enhance our ability to accomplish this understanding in the near *** face certain limitations that we need to overcome.

BACKGROUND Cyanidin-3-O-glucoside(cyan)exhibits antioxidant and anticancer *** cell cycle proteins and antimitotic drugs might be promising therapeutic targets in hepatocellular *** To investigate the effect of cyan administration on cell cycle in hepatic precancerous lesion(PCL)induced by diethylnitrosamine/2-acetylaminofluorene(DEN/2-AAF)in Wistar *** In vivo,DEN/2-AAF-induced hepatic PCL,rats were treated with three doses of cyan(10,15,and 20 mg/kg/d,for four consecutive days per week for 16 wk).Blood and liver tissue samples were collected for measurement of the followings;alpha fetoprotein(AFP)liver function and RNA panel differential expression was evaluated via real time polymerase chain *** examination of liver sections stained with H&E and immunohistochemical study using glutathione S-transferase placental(GSTP)and proliferating cell nuclear antigen(PCNA)antibodies were *** Cyan administration mitigated the effect of DEN/2-AFF induced PCL,decreased AFP levels,and improved liver ***,treatment with cyan dose dependently decreased the long non-coding RNA MALAT1 and tubulin gamma 1 mRNA expressions and increased the levels of miR-125b,all of which are involved in cell cycle and mitotic spindle *** note,cyan decreased GSTP foci percent area and PCNA positively stained *** Our results indicated that cyan could be used as a potential therapeutic agent to inhibit liver carcinogenesis in rat model via modulation of cell cycle.

Gastric cancer(GC) is a global health problem and a major cause of cancer-related death with high recurrence rates ranging from 25% to 40% for GC patients staging Ⅱ-Ⅳ. Unfortunately, while the majority of GC patients usually present with advanced tumor stage; there is still limited evidence-based therapeutic options. Current approach to GC management consists mainly of; endoscopy followed by, gastrectomy and chemotherapy or chemo-radiotherapy. Recent studies in GC have confirmed that it is a heterogeneous disease. Many molecular characterization studies have been performed in GC. Recent discoveries of the molecular pathways underlying the disease have opened the door to more personalized treatment and better predictable outcome. The identification of molecular markers is a useful tool for clinical managementin GC patients, assisting in diagnosis, evaluation of response to treatment and development of novel therapeutic modalities. While chemotherapeutic agents have certain physiological effects on the tumor cells, the prediction of the response is different from one type of tumor to the other. The specificity of molecular biomarkers is a principal feature driving their application in anticancer therapies. Here we are trying to focus on the role of molecular pathways of GC and well-established molecular markers that can guide the therapeutic management.

In this paper,we present a probabilistic numerical method for a class of forward utilities in a stochastic factor *** this purpose,we use the representation of forward utilities using the ergodic Backward Stochastic Differential Equations(eBSDEs)introduced by Liang and Zariphopoulou in[27].We establish a connection between the solution of the ergodic BSDE and the solution of an associated BSDE with random terminal time T,defined as the hitting time of the positive recurrent stochastic *** viewpoint based on BSDEs with random horizon yields a new characterization of the ergodic cost^which is a part of the solution of the *** particular,for a certain class of eBSDEs with quadratic generator,the Cole-Hopf transformation leads to a semi-explicit representation of the solution as well as a new expression of the ergodic cost>.The latter can be estimated with Monte Carlo *** also propose two new deep learning numerical schemes for ***,we present numerical results for different examples of eBSDEs and forward utilities together with the associated investment strategies.

Psychological consequences of a diagnosis of infertility in men:a systematic analysis

Almost half of infertility cases involve male *** the consequence of a diagnosis of male infertility,as a sole or partial contributor to the couples'infertility,to the mental health of men is required to ensure clinical care meets their psychological *** aim of this systematic analysis was to synthesize the evidence regarding whether men diagnosed with male factor infertility experience greater psychological distress than(1)men described as fertile and(2)men in couples with other infertility *** databases were searched using a combination of Medical Subject Headings(MeSH)headings and keywords relating to male infertility and psychological *** search yielded 1016 unique publications,of which 23 were included:8 case-control,14 prospective cohort,and 1 data linkage *** aspects of psychological distress were identified depression,anxiety,self-esteem,quality of life,fertility-related stress,general psychological stress or well-being,and psychiatric ***-control studies reported that men with male factor infertility have more symptoms of depression,anxiety and general psychological distress,worse quality of some aspects of life,and lower self-esteem than *** men with male factor infertility were compared to men in couples with other causes of infertility,there were few differences in the assessed aspects of psychological *** methodological limitations within the studies,this systematic analysis suggests that the experience of infertility,irrespective of its cause,negatively affects men's mental health and demonstrates the need for assisted reproduction technology(ART)providers to consider men undergoing assisted reproduction as individuals with their own unique support needs.

Social learning is a mechanism used by many species to effciently gain information about their *** many animals live in an environment where members of other species are present,little is known about interspecifc social *** and urbanized species provide the opportunity to investigate whether nonhuman animals can learn from heterospecifcs such as humans,who are integral parts of their social *** domestic dogs Canis familiaris have been intensively researched for their ability to learn from humans,most studies have focused on dogs living as ***,free-ranging dogs represent the majority of the world’s dog population,they live alongside humans,scavenge on human refuse,and are subject to natural and sexual ***,free-ranging dogs with extensive exposure to humans and their artifacts provide the opportunity to investigate interspecifc social learning in a naturalistic setting,where learning from humans might be a beneft for *** we tested individual free-ranging dogs in a between-subject design:Dogs in the control group could spontaneously choose between two novel and differently patterned food-delivering *** the experimental group,instead,dogs could frst observe an unfamiliar human approaching and eating from 1 of the 2 *** provide the frst evidence that free-ranging dogs match the choice of an unfamiliar *** results show that at least simple forms of interspecifc social learning might be involved in dogs’success in living alongside humans in a complex urbanized environment.
