This paper aims to systematically investigate the cataracting-centrifuging transition in a rotary drum involving spherical and nonspherical particles by using the Multiphase Granular Eulerian Model(MGEM).The effects of drum length and particle shape on the cataracting-centrifuging transition behavior were *** results showed that drum length plays an important role in the cataracting-centrifuging transition,although most related works in the literature do not consider *** particle shape also significantly affects the cataracting-centrifuging transition *** particles required lower rotation speeds than spherical particles to reach the centrifuging *** particle shape was shown to be related to the critical solid fraction(asc)from schaeffer’s model,although further investigations are required to completely correlate particle spherecity with critical solid volume fractions.

since the first description of the concept of natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery (NOTEs), a substantial number of clinical NOTEs reports have appeared in the literature. This editorial reviews the available human data addressing research questions originally proposed by the white paper, including determining the optimal method of access for NOTEs, developing safe methods of lumenal closure, suturing and anastomotic devices, advanced multitasking platforms, addressing the risk of infection, managing complications, addressing challenges with visualization, and training for NOTEs procedures. An analysis of the literature reveals that so far transvaginal access and closure appear to be the most feasible techniques for NOTEs, with a limited, but growing transgastric, transrectal, and transesophageal NOTEs experience in humans. The theoretically increased risk of infection as a result of NOTEs procedures has not been substantiated in transvaginal and transgastric procedures so far. Development of suturing and anastomotic devices and advanced platforms for NOTEs has progressed slowly, with limited clinical data on their use so far. Data onthe optimal management and incidence of intraoperative complications remain sparse, although possible factors contributing to complications are discussed. Finally, this editorial discusses the likely direction of future NOTEs development and its possible role in clinical practice.

The Central Asian orogenic belt(CAOB),surrounded by the Baltica and siberia cratons to the north,and the Tarim and North China cratons to the south,records successive evolution cycles of subduction and accretion/collision from Neoproterozoic to the Paleozoic that consumed and eventually closed the Paleo-Asian Ocean[1].Tectonic models of the terminal orogenesis are contentious,with discussions ranging from the time and location of final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean to the regional context and setting of its various tectonic constituents.

Compounds with dual action on cyclic adenosine monophosphate （cAMP） and cyclic guanosine monophosphate （cGMP） may be a treatment option for erectile dysfunction, as they not only promote penile erection but also prevent the upregulation of phosphodiesterase-5. In this study, we examined the possible relaxant effect and mechanism of 17-nor-subincanadine E （sEC, 0.2-200 pmol I^-1）, a plant-derived alkaloid, in rabbit corpus cavernosum （rbCC） strips that had been precontracted by exposure to phenylephrine （10 pmol I^- 1） or a high concentration of K＋（60 mmol I^- 1） in vitro. In addition to sEC＇s effect on cAMP and cGMP levels, electrical field stimulation （EFs） in phenylephrine-precontracted rbCC and calcium chloride （1-100 mmol I^-1） evoked responses in depolarized rbCC were analysed. sEC relaxed the phenylephrine-precontracted rbCCs in a concentration-dependent manner. Atropine, guanethidine and N-co-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester （L-NAME） did not have any effect on the relaxation of rBCCs. When 1H-1,2,4oxadiazole[4,3-a] quinoxalin-1-one （ODQ） was added, it effectively blocked the relaxant response of sEC. Although sEC enhanced the maximal relaxation produced by sodium nitroprusside （sNP） and forskolin in phenylephrine-precontracted cavernosal smooth muscle, it caused a decrease in the maximal contractile response induced by calcium chloride in depolarized rbCCs. The relaxant effect of sEC was paralleled by an increase in the tissue levels of the Cyclic nucleotides cAMP and cGMP. We conclude that sEC promotes the relaxation of rbCC, possibly favouring cAMP and cGMP accumulation and calcium blockade. This novel mechanism could be useful for patients who do not benefit from phosphodiesterase inhibitors and for those with endothelial and nitrergic dysfunction, such as patients with diabetes, hypertension and dyslipidaemias.

We discuss a recent analysis by Yu et al.[rAA 11,125（2011）] about constraints on the smoothness parameter α and dark energy models using observational H（z） *** is argued here that their procedure is conceptually inconsistent with the basic assumptions underlying the adopted Dyer-roeder *** order to properly quantify the influence of the H（z） data on the smoothness parameter α,a χ2-test involving a sample of type Ia supernovae and H（z） data in the context of a flat ΛCDM model is *** result is confronted with an earlier approach discussed by santos et al.（2008） without H（z） *** the（Ωm,α） plane,it is found that such parameters are now restricted to be in the inter.a.s.0.66 ≤ α ≤ 1.0 and 0.27 ≤ Ωm ≤ 0.37 within the 95.4 confidence level（2σ）,and,therefore,are fully compatible with the homogeneous *** basic conclusion is that a joint analysis involving H（z） data can indirectly improve our knowledge about the influence of the ***,this happens only because the H（z） data provide tighter constraints on the matter density parameter Ωm.

The present study was to evaluate the effect of trace minerals(Zn,Mn,and Cu)from complexed amino acid minerals(ZMCAA)and bis-glycinate chelated minerals(ZMCGly)in laying hen diets on performance,internal and external egg quality,yolk mineral deposition,intestinal morphometry,and bone *** 78 to 98 weeks of age,400 White LsL-Lite strain laying hens were distributed in a randomized design with 4 treatments with 10 replicates per *** were distributed in a 2×2 factorial arrangement using either Zn,Mn,and Cu of ZMCAA or ZMCGly source at 2 levels:low(20,20,and 3.5 mg/kg of Zn,Mn,and Cu,respectively)or high(40,40,and 7 mg/kg of Zn,Mn,and Cu,respectively).The analysis of variance was performed,and in cases where differences were observed,the means were compared using Tukey?s test(Psource and level of trace mineral supplementation had a significant impact on the performance of laying *** fed ZMCAA had higher egg production(P=0.01),egg weight(P=0.02),egg mass(P=0.01),and lower feed conversion ratio(P=0.05)compared to those fed *** ZMCAA supplementation showed higher albumen height(P=0.01),albumen weight(P=0.01),and eggshell thickness(Psition of Zn(Ps greater for hens received *** weight(P=0.04)and bone densitometry(Pre higher with ZMCAA *** the small intestine,ZMCAA resulted in longer villi(P=0.02)and shorter crypt depth(P=0.01)in the *** and ileum measurements were influenced by the level and source of trace minerals(Ps fed ZMCAA exhibited superior performance,egg quality,deposition of trace minerals in the egg yolk,and bone density compared to hens fed *** this study,older laying hens supplemented with ZMCAA at lower levels demonstrated adequate levels of supplementation.
