the identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the AtLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 teV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the AtLAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 teV and for multiple tagger working points.

Grain refining in weld metal using short-pulsed laser ablation during CW laser welding of 2024-t3 aluminum alloy

the 2024 aluminum alloy is used extensively in the aircraft and aerospace industries because of its excellent mechanical ***,the weldability of 2024 aluminum alloy is generally low because it contains a high number of solutes,such as copper(Cu),magnesium(Mg),and manganese(Mn),causing solidification *** high speed welding of 2024 aluminum alloy without the use of filler is achieved,the applicability of 2024 aluminum alloys will *** refining is one of the methods used to prevent solidification cracking in weld metal,although it has never been achieved for high-speed laser welding of 2024 aluminum alloy without ***,we propose a short-pulsed,laser-induced,grain-refining method during continuous wave laser welding without ***-on-plate welding was performed on a 2024-t3 aluminum alloy at a welding speed of 1 m min−1 with a single mode fiber laser at a wavelength of 1070 nm and power of 1 *** in and around the molten pool were irradiated with nanosecond laser pulses at a wavelength of 1064 nm,pulse width of 10 ns,and pulse energy of 430 *** grain-refinement effect was confirmed when laser pulses were irradiated on the molten *** grain-refinement region was formed in a semicircular shape along the solid–liquid *** of the vertical section indicate that the grain-refinement region reached a depth of 1 mm along the solid–liquid *** Vickers hardness test results demonstrated that the hardness increased as a result of grain refinement and that the progress of solidification cracking was suppressed in the grain refinement region.

Post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer rate in the era of highdefinition colonoscopy

AIM to investigate the post-colonoscopy colorectal cancer(PCCRC) rate for high-definition(HD) colonoscopy compared with that for standard-definition colonoscopy reported *** Using medical records at sano Hospital(SH) and Dokkyo Medical University Koshigaya Hospital(DMUKH), we retrospectively obtained data on consecutive patients diagnosed as having CRC between January 2010 andDecember 2015. the definition of PCCRC was diagnosis of CRC between 7 and 36 mo after initial high-definition colonoscopy that had detected no cancer, and patients were divided into a PCCRC group and a non-PCCRC group. the primary outcome was the rate of PCCRC for HD colonoscopy. the secondary outcomes were factors associated with PCCRC and possible reason for occurrence of early and advanced *** Among 892 CRC patients, 11 were diagnosed as having PCCRC and 881 had non-PCCRC. the PCCRC rate was 1.7%(8/471) at SH and 0.7%(3/421) at DMUKH. In comparison with the non-PCCRC group, the PCCRC group had a significantly higher preponderance of smaller tumors(39 mm vs 19 mm, P = 0.002), a shallower invasion depth(t1 rate, 25.4% vs 63.6%, P = 0.01), a non-polypoid macroscopic appearance(39.0% vs 85.7%, P = 0.02) and an earlier stage(59.7% vs 90.9%, P = 0.03). Possible reasons for PCCRC were "missed or new" in 9 patients(82%), "incomplete resection" in 1(9%), and "inadequate examination'" in 1(9%). Among 9 "missed or new" PCCRC, the leading cause was non-polypoid shape for early PCCRC and blinded location for advanced *** the PCCRC rate for HD colonoscopy was 0.7%-1.7%, being lower than that for standard-definition colonoscopy(1.8%-9.0%) reported previously employing the same methodology.

Degassing of deep-sourced CO_(2) from Xianshuihe-Anninghe fault zones in the eastern tibetan Plateau

A large number of gases are releasing from the medium-high temperature geothermal fields distributed along the large-scale strike-slip fault zones in the southeastern margin of the tibetan *** this study,11 hot spring water and the associated bubbling gas samples were collected along the Xianshuihe-Anninghe fault zones(XSH-ANHFZ)and analyzed for chemical and isotopic *** δ^(18)_(H_(2)O) and δD_(H_(2)O) values indicate that hot spring waters are predominantly meteoric origin recharged from different *** water samples are significantly enriched in Na^(+) and HCO_(3) due to the dissolution of regional evaporites,carbonates and Na-silicates.^(3)He/^(4)He ratios of the gas samples are 0.025-2.73 times the atmospheric *** ^(3)He/^(4)He ratios are high in the Kangding region where the dense faults are distributed,and gradually decrease with increasing distance from Kangding towards both sides along the Xianshuihe fault zones(XSHFZ).Hydrothermal fluids have dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC)concentrations from 2 to 42 mmol L^(-1),δ^(13)C_(DIC) from -6.9‰ to 1.3‰,δ^(13)C_(CO_(2)) from -7.2‰ to -3.6‰ and Δ^(14)C from -997‰ to -909‰.Combining regional geochemical and geological information,the CO_(2)sources can be attributed to deep-sourced CO_(2)from mantle and metamorphism of marine carbonate,and shallow-sourced CO_(2)from the dissolution of marine carbonate and biogenic CO_(2).the mass balance model shows that 11±6% of the DIC is sourced from the dissolution of shallow carbonate minerals,9±8% formed by pyrolysis of sedimentary organic matter,80±9% derived from deep metamorphic origin and mantle-derived CO_(2).Among them,the deep-sourced CO_(2)in Anninghe fault zones(ANHFZ)is merely metamorphic carbon,whereas ca.12% and ca.88% of the deep-sourced CO_(2)in the XSHFZ are derived from the mantle and metamorphic carbon,*** average deep-sourced CO_(2)flux in the Kangding geothermal field is estimated to be 160 ta^(-1).If all the hot

由于日本的电能比其他国家贵得多,故对铬矿加工成不锈钢的工艺中可降低电能消耗的技术进行了开发。本文叙述铬矿的熔融还原,即在一台先进的氧气转炉中生产高碳铬铁或生产粗不锈钢而不使用电能作为热源.铬矿熔融还原存在的问题(如泡沫渣,还原速度,二次燃烧,炉衬侵蚀等)通过下列条件的结合可以得到解决:(1)采用一层厚渣将金属熔池和氧气流隔开并采用适当的吹炼操作:(2)控制炉渣成分使(MgO)+(Al_2O_3)=45—46%。根据这些原理,新冶炼工艺研究会在5吨(30吨/日)规模成功地进行了半工业性试验.在1台工业性顶-底吹转炉中由脱磷生铁和部分还原的铬矿球团生产出了粗不锈钢。

Observation of Edge Plasma Fluctuations with a Fast Camera in Heliotron J

A fast video camera is verified to be a powerful t0ol for observation of filaments/blobs near the last closed flux surface （LCFS）. In order to extract the fluctuation component from the raw data of the fast camera, a pre-processing technique, sliding time window averaging subtraction （StWAS） has been developed to remove the background of slowly varying emission from the bulk plasma. By using this pre-processing technique, the fast camera data are analyzed. A method to identify the filaments in the pre-processed image is also discussed.

Size does not determine the grade of malignancy of early invasive colorectal cancer

AIM： to clarify the clinicopathological characteristics of small and large early invasive colorectal cancers （EI-CRCs）, and to determine whether malignancy grade depends on size. MEtHODS： A total of 583 consecutive EI-CRCs treated by endoscopic mucosal resection or surgery at the National Cancer Center Hospital between 1980 and 2004 were enrolled in this study. Lesions were classified into two groups based on size： small （≤10 ram） and large （〉10 ram）. Clinicopathological features, incidence of lymph node metastasis （LNM） and risk factors for LNM, such as depth of invasion, lymphovascular invasion （LVI） and poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma （PDA） were analyzed in all resected specimens. RESULtS： there were 120 （21%） small and 463 （79%） large lesions. Histopathological analysis of the small lesion group revealed submucosal deep cancer （sin： 1〉1000 μm） in 90 （75%） cases, LVI in 26 （22%） cases, and PDA in 12 （10%） cases. Similarly, the large lesion group exhibited submucosal deep cancer in 380 （82%） cases, LVI in 125 （27%） cases, and PDA in 79 （17%） cases. the rate of LNM was 11.2% and 12.1% in the small and large lesion groups, ***： Small EI-CRC demonstrated the same aggressiveness and malignant potential as large cancer.

Spontaneous transition of the plasma confinement mode was observed in thehelical-axis heliotron device 'Heliotron J' for three different plasma heating schemes, ***-only, NBI-only and the combination of ECH and NBI. the transition seems to occur above a certaincritical density. In addition to the confinement transition, a spontaneous shift of the hittingposition of the divertor plasma flux on the wall was observed. this shift could be related with thechange of the edge field topology caused by non-inductive toroidal currents.
