Given a pair of single input single output （SISO）, linear time-invariant （LTI）, and strictly proper plants of relative order r, this paper employs a continuous-time periodic controller to achieve 1） simultaneous pole-placement for r = 1 and 2） guaranteed simultaneous stabilization for r = 2, 3, and 4, which jobs LTI controllers cannot, in general, do. The controller also ensures insignificant output ripples. The analysis is based on averaging principle. The computational steps for controller synthesis are linear algebraic in nature. An example illustrates the design procedure.

Code review is intended to find bugs in early development phases,improving code quality for later integration and ***,due to the lack of experience with algorithm design,or software development,individual novice programmers face challenges while reviewing *** this paper,we utilize collaborative eye tracking to record the gaze data from multiple reviewers,and share the gaze visualization among them during the code review *** visualizations,such as borders highlighting current reviewed code lines,transition lines connecting related reviewed code lines,reveal the visual attention about program functions that can facilitate understanding and bug *** can help novice reviewers to make sense to confirm the potential bugs or avoid repeated reviewing of code,and potentially even help to improve reviewing *** built a prototype system,and conducted a user study with paired *** results showed that the shared real-time visualization allowed the reviewers to find bugs more efficiently.

Estimation of strain-dependent dynamic soil properties, e.g. the shear modulus and damping ratio, along with the liquefaction potential parameters, is extremely important for the assessment and analysis of almost all geotechnical problems involving dynamic loading. This paper presents the dynamic properties and liquefaction behaviour of cohesive soil subjected to staged cyclic loading, which may be caused by main shocks of earthquakes preceded or followed by minor foreshocks or aftershocks, respectively. Cyclic triaxial tests were conducted on the specimens prepared at different dry densities （1.5 g/cm3 and 1.75 g/cm3） and different water contents ranging from 8% to 25%. The results indicated that the shear modulus reduction （G/Gmax） and damping ratio of the specimen remain unaffected due to the changes in the initial dry density and water content. Damping ratio is significantly affected by confining pressure, whereas G/Gmax is affected marginally. It was seen that the liquefaction criterion of cohesive soils based on single-amplitude shear strain （3.75% or the strain at which excess pore water pressure ratio becomes equal to 1, whichever is lower） depends on the initial state of soils and applied stresses. The dynamic model of the regional soil, obtained as an outcome of the cyclic triaxial tests, can be successfully used for ground response analysis of the region.

Virtual Machines are the core of cloud computing and are utilized toget the benefits of cloud computing. Other essential features include portability,recovery after failure, and, most importantly, creating the core mechanismfor load balancing. Several study results have been reported in enhancing loadbalancingsystems employing stochastic or biogenetic optimization *** examines the underlying issues with load balancing and the limitationsof present load balance genetic optimization approaches. They are criticizedfor using higher-order probability distributions, more complicated solutionsearch spaces, and adding factors to improve decision-making skills. Thus, thispaper explores the possibility of summarizing load characteristics. Second,this study offers an improved prediction technique for pheromone level predictionover other typical genetic optimization methods during load *** also uses web-based third-party cloud service providers to test and validatethe principles provided in this study. It also reduces VM migrations, timecomplexity, and service level agreements compared to other parallel standardapproaches.

The elaborate redox network of the cell,comprising of events like turnover of reactive oxygen species(ROS),redox sensing,signaling,expression of redox-sensitive genes,etc.,often orchestrates with other bonafide hormonal signaling pathways through their synergistic or antagonistic action in the plant *** redox cue generated in plant cells under fluctuating environmental conditions can significantly influence other hormonal biosynthetic or signaling mechanisms,thereby modulating physiology towards stress acclimation and *** is also strong evidence of the recruitment of ROS as a‘second messenger’in different hormonal signaling pathways under ***,the retrograde signaling initiated by ROS also found to strongly influence hormonal homeostasis and *** present review,in this aspect,is an effort towards understanding the regulatory roles of ROS in integrating and orchestrating other hormonal signaling pathways or vice versa so as to unfold the relationship between these two signaling episodes of plant cells under environmental *** also accentuate the significance of understanding the utterly complex interactions,which occur both at metabolic and genetic levels between ROS and phytohormones during stress ***,the significant and decisive role of ROS turnover,particularly the contribution of RBOH(respiratory burst oxidase homologs)in the synergism of redox and hormone signaling during systemic acquired acclimation under stress is also discussed.

Safe operation of the power grid requires a complete and robust control network to ensure full observability;However,redundancy measurements can create problems in expense,management,and *** optimal phasor measurement unit(PMU)positioning problem(OPPP)is proposed to limit the number of PMUs deployed in the power grid and ensure the whole grid's observability in the meantime.A modified branch-and-bound algorithm(MBBA)to unravel the OPPP is *** BBA,which uses a single search order to create a binary tree,gives only one solution to the OPPR although more than one optimal solution *** proposed MBBA method consists of two different stages:the vertexes in the search tree are investigated by depth-first search(DFS)in stage 1,and the search route continues as the breadth-first *** stage 1,the LP relaxing problems are solved by dual simplex,and in stage 2,the basic viable solution from stage 1 is used to configure the primary simplex until the optimum solution is *** is formulated as a binary decision variable MBBA model,minimizing linear objective function subject to linear matrix observability *** MBBA model is unravelled using a linear integer-based external approximation *** test systems are used to check the feasibility of the proposed *** software performs simulation based on a number of graph theory-based methods such as DFS,graph-theoretical method,simulated annealing,and recursive *** algorithms are compared to the algorithmic perspective of the proposed MBBA *** test network results confirm the validity of the proposed methodology.

Quantum gates are the important breakthrough in current computation and high-end data processing. Several quantum logic gates have been implemented in last few decades. In this paper, the idea of all-optical(photonic) Fredkin gate is proposed, which performs the swapping operation by a control signal. Corresponding simulation is also conducted with MATLAB, which shows the same result as the theoretical prediction.

High ash thermal coal from India was used to conduct the dry processing of fine coal using a pneumatic table to evolve a techno-economically novel technique. The fine as-received sample having 55.2g ash was subjected to washability studies at variant densities from 1.4 to 2.2 to assess the amenability to separa- tion. The experiments were conducted using a central composite design for assessing the interactive effects of the variable parameters of a pneumatic table on the product yield and ash content. The performance of the pneumatic table was analyzed in terms of clean coal yield, recovery of combustibles, separation efficiency （Esp） and useful heat value of clean coal. The combustibles of clean coal obtained through a single stage operation at 35% and 38.7% ash were 40% and 63% respectively. However, the two stage processing was more effective in reducing the ash content in the clean coal. The rougher concentrate generated at higher ash level was subsequently processed in different conditions at 35% ash level, and 58g combustibles could be recovered. Hence, two stage processing increases the combustibles by 18 units and the useful heat value of clean coal increases from 1190 kcal/kg to 3750 kcal/kg.
