Enhanced entropy generation and heat transfer characteristics of magnetic nano-encapsulated phase change materials in latent heat thermal energy storage systems

The objective of the current study is to investigate the importance of entropy generation and thermal radiation on the patterns of velocity,isentropic lines,and temperature contours within a thermal energy storage device filled with magnetic nanoencapsulated phase change materials(NEPCMs).The versatile finite element method(FEM)is implemented to numerically solve the governing *** effects of various parameters,including the viscosity parameter,ranging from 1 to 3,the thermal conductivity parameter,ranging from 1 to 3,the Rayleigh parameter,ranging from 102 to 3×10^(2),the radiation number,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,the fusion temperature,ranging from 1.0 to 1.2,the volume fraction of NEPCMs,ranging from 2%to 6%,the stefan number,ranging from 1 to 5,the magnetic number,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,and the irreversibility parameter,ranging from 0.1 to 0.5,are examined in detail on the temperature contours,isentropic lines,heat capacity ratio,and velocity ***,the heat transfer rates at both the cold and hot walls are analyzed,and the findings are presented *** results indicate that the time taken by the NEPCMs to transition from solid to liquid is prolonged inside the chamber region as the fusion temperatureθf ***,the contours of the heat capacity ratio Cr decrease with the increase in the stefan number ste.

Trends with neoadjuvant radiotherapy and clinical staging for those with rectal malignancies

AIM To see how patterns of care changed over time,and how institution type effected these *** A retrospective analysis was performed using the National Cancer Database,looking at all patients that were diagnosed with rectal cancer from 1998 to 2011. We tested differences in rates of treatment and stage migration using χ~2 tests and logistic regression models. REsULTs A review of ninety thousand five hundred and ninety four subjects underwent multimodality therapy for cancer of the rectum. staging and response to treatment varied greatly between centers. Forty-six percent of the time staging was missing in academic practices,vs fiftyfour percent of the time in community centers(P s a result,twenty-percent were down-staged and eight percent up-staged in academia,whereas only fifteen percent were down-staged and 8% up-staged in community practices(P s underwent radiation before surgery in *** two years this increased to fifty-three percent. This increased to eighty-six percent by 2011(P stitution specific treatment varied greatly. Fifty-one percent received therapy before surgery in academic centers in 1998. Thirty-nine percent followed this pattern in the same year in the community(P s,vs eighty-four percent in the community(P s of adoption were better in academia,although an increase was seen in both center types. CONCLUsION From the study dates of 1998 to 2011,preoperative treatment with radiation has been on the rise. There is certainly an increased rate of use of radiation in academia,however,this trend is also seen in the community. Practice patterns have evolved over time,although rates of assigning clinical stage are grossly underreported prior to initiation of preoperative therapy.

CompactChain:an efficient stateless chain for UTXO-model blockchain

In this work,we propose a stateless blockchain called CompactChain,which compacts the entire state of the UTXO(Unspent Transaction Output)based blockchain systems into two RsA *** first accumulator is called Transaction Output(TXO)commitment which represents the TXO *** second one is called spent Transaction Output(sTXO)commitment which represents the sTXO *** this work,we discuss three algorithms:(i)To update the TXO and sTXO commitments by the *** miner also provides the proofs for the correctness of the updated commitments;(ii)To prove the transaction’s validity by providing a membership witness in TXO commitment and non-membership witness against sTXO commitment for a coin being spent by a user;(iii)To update the witness for the coin that is not yet spent;The experimental results evaluate the performance of the CompactChain in terms of time taken by a miner to update the commitments and time taken by a validator to verify the commitments and validate the *** compare the performance of CompactChain with the existing state-of-the-art works on stateless *** shows a reduction in commitments update complexity and transaction witness size which inturn reduces the mempool size and propagation latency without compromising the system throughput(Transactions per second(TPs)).

Dragonfly Interaction Algorithm for Optimization of Queuing Delay in Industrial Wireless Networks

In industrial wireless networks,data transmitted from source to destination are highly *** often leads to the queuing of the data,and poor management of the queued data results in excessive delays,increased energy consumption,and packet ***,a nature-inspired-based Dragonfly Interaction Optimization Algorithm(DMOA)is proposed for optimization of the queue delay in industrial wireless *** term“interaction”herein used is the characterization of the“flying movement”of the dragonfly towards damselflies(female dragonflies)for *** a result,interaction is represented as the flow of transmitted data packets,or traffic,from the source to the base *** includes each and every feature of dragonfly movement as well as awareness of the rival dragonflies,predators,and damselflies for the desired optimization of the queue *** features are juxtaposed as noise and interference,which are further used in the calculation of industrial wireless metrics:latency,error rate(reliability),throughput,energy efficiency,and fairness for the optimization of the queue *** analysis,convergence analysis,the Wilcoxon test,the Friedman test,and the classical as well as the 2014 IEEE Congress of Evolutionary Computation(CEC)on the benchmark functions are also used for the evaluation of DMOA in terms of its robustness and *** results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed algorithm for both classical and benchmarking functions of the IEEE CEC ***,the accuracy and efficacy of DMOA were demonstrated by means of the convergence rate,Wilcoxon testing,and ***,fairness using Jain’s index in queue delay optimization in terms of throughput and latency,along with computational complexity,is also evaluated and compared with other *** results show that DMOA exceeds other bio-inspired optimization algorithms in terms of fairness in queue delay management and average packet *** proposed a

This study presents a comprehensive overview of current bird repellant approaches used in agricultural contexts,as well as potential new ways.
