Unlike external attacks,insider threats arise from legitimate users who belong to the *** individuals may be a potential threat for hostile behavior depending on their *** insider detection,many intrusion detection systems learn and prevent known scenarios,but because malicious behavior has similar patterns to normal behavior,in reality,these systems can be ***,because insider threats share a feature space similar to normal behavior,identifying them by detecting anomalies has *** study proposes an improved anomaly detection methodology for insider threats that occur in cybersecurity in which a discrete wavelet transformation technique is applied to classify normal *** *** discrete wavelet transformation technique easily discovers new patterns or decomposes synthesized data,making it possible to distinguish between shared *** verify the efficacy of the proposed methodology,experiments were conducted in which normal users and malicious users were classified based on insider threat scenarios provided in Carnegie Mellon University’s Computer Emergency Response Team(CERT)*** experimental results indicate that the proposed methodology with discrete wavelet transformation reduced the false-positive rate by 82%to 98%compared to the case with no wavelet ***,the proposed methodology has high potential for application to similar feature spaces.

A hafnium strontium oxide(HfSrO)liquid crystal(LC)alignment film was efficiently created through brush coating,and its ability to change the LC alignment direction was confirmed.A brush was applied to HfSrO sol coated on an indium-tin oxide substrate,after which the coating was solidified at var-ious curing *** was confirmed that a directional micro/nanostructure was formed above 280°C due to the shear stresses caused by the movement of the brush *** chemical changes were analyzed by using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and contact angle *** the curing temperature increased,the prevalence of oxygen bonds increased and the contact angle decreased,thereby increasing the surface *** anisotropic boundary of the micro-grooves and the van der Waals forces due to an increase in surface energy changed the alignment direction of LC mole-cules from vertical to horizontal,as verified through polarized optical microscopy and pretilt angle ***,the efficiency of the brush-coating method,which dramatically simplifies the LC alignment film process,was *** homeotropic/homogeneous LC alignment property of the HfSrO film produced through brush coating depending on the curing temperature provides an innovative approach for LC alignment.

Distinguishing ampullary carcinoma from pancreatic carcinoma is important because of their different prognoses. microRNAs are differentially expressed according to the tissue of origin. However, there is rare research on the differential diagnosis between the two types of cancers by microRNA in periampullary cancers. The present study was undertaken to compare microRNA profiles between ampullary and pan- creatic carcinomas using microarrays, miR-215 was most significantly overexpressed in ampullary carcinomas; whereas the expressions of miR-134 and miR-214 were significantly lower in ampuUary carcinomas than in pancreatic carcino- mas. When these discriminatory microRNAs were applied to liver metastases, they were correctly predicted for the tissue of origin. Although this study is limited by small sample size, striking difference in microRNA expression and concordant expression of discriminating microRNAs in primary tumors and metastases suggest that these novel discriminatory mi- croRNAs warrant future validation.

Organic-inorganic halide perovskites have significant potential for application in next-generation solar ***,their applications are limited by challenges associated with large-area processability and long-term stability owing to the presence of pinholes and defect ***,we incorporated cesium formate in a perovskite active layer using a sequential perovskite fabrication process to eliminate the defect sites of perovskites and improve the film processability via roll-to-roll(R2R)*** addition of cesium formate salt to the PbI2 layer influences the perovskite crystal formation behavior as well as increases the perovskite crystallinity and decreases the defect ***,cesium formate addition eliminated small PbI2 grains and smoothed the perovskite surface,resulting in a large crystal grain *** formate ions interact with the PbI2 component and passivate halide vacancy defects,reducing nonradiative recombination and improving charge ***,the treated perovskite films were highly stable in air,exhibiting improved efficiency retention over time and achieving a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of>22%compared to the ***,the additive-treated perovskite film was processed using the R2R method,achieving a high PCE of>14%with minimal hysteresis.

Scaled-up industrial water electrolysis equipment that can be used with abundant seawater is key for affordable hydrogen *** search for highly stable,dynamic,and economical electrocatalysts could have a significant impact on hydrogen ***,we prepared energy-efficient,scalable,and engineering electronic structure modulated Mn-Ni bimetal oxides(Mn_(0.25)Ni_(0.75)O)through simple hydrothermal followed by calcination ***-optimized Mn_(0.25)Ni_(0.75)O displayed enhanced oxygen and hydrogen evolution reaction(OER and HER)performance with overpotentials of 266 and115 mV at current densities of 10 mA cm^(-2)in alkaline KOH added seawater electrolyte ***,Mn-Ni oxide catalytic benefits were attributed to the calculated electronic configurations and Gibbs free energy for OER,and HER values were estimated using first principles *** real-time practical application,we mimicked industrial operating conditions with modified seawater electrolysis using Mn_(0.25)Ni_(0.75)O‖Mn_(0.25)Ni_(0.75)O under various temperature conditions,which performs superior to the commercial IrO_(2)‖Pt-C *** findings demonstrate an inexpensive and facile technique for feasible large-scale hydrogen production.

Many proteins are regulated by post-translational modifications,such as the reversible covalent attachment of ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like proteins in eukaryotes(Kerscher et al, 2006). Post-translational modification of proteins by the SUMO protein family is involved in diverse cellular processes, including development, hormonal responses, and biotic and abiotic stress signaling(Park et al, 2011). SUMO modification can modulate protein-protein interactions, intracellular localization or the activities of the protein(Gareau and Lima, 2010).

The biosynthesis of host lipids and/or lipid droplets(LDs)has been studied extensively as a putative therapeutic target in diverse viral ***,directly targeting the LD lipolytic catabolism in virus-infected cells has not been widely ***,we show the linkage of the LD-associated lipase activation to the breakdown of LDs for the generation of free fatty acids(FFAs)at the late stage of diverse RNA viral infections,which represents a broad-spectrum antiviral *** of membrane transporter systems due to virus-induced cell injury results in intracellular malnutrition at the late stage of infection,thereby making the virus more dependent on the FFAs generated from LD storage for viral morphogenesis and as a source of *** replication of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A virus(IAV),which is suppressed by the treatment with LD-associated lipases inhibitors,is rescued by supplementation with *** administration of lipase inhibitors,either individually or in a combination with virus-targeting drugs,protects mice from lethal IAV infection and mitigates severe lung lesions in SARS-CoV-2-infected ***,the lipase inhibitors significantly reduce proinflammatory cytokine levels in the lungs of SARS-CoV-2-and IAV-challenged animals,a cause of a cytokine storm important for the critical infection or mortality of COVID-19 and IAV *** conclusion,the results reveal that lipase-mediated intracellular LD lipolysis is commonly exploited to facilitate RNA virus replication and furthermore suggest that pharmacological inhibitors of LD-associated lipases could be used to curb current COVID-19-and future pandemic outbreaks of potentially troublesome RNA virus infection in humans.

It is crucial to efficiently separate and transport photo-induced charge carriers for the effective implementation of photocatalysis toward environmental remediation.A rational design strategy is proposed to validate such proposition through the construction of an interfacial structure in the form of LDH/Zn_(2)SnO_(4) heterostructures in this *** interfacial charge transfer on LDH/Zn_(2)SnO_(4) is greatly promoted via the unique charge transfer pathway,as characterized by transient photocurrent responses,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,electron paramagnetic resonance spectrum,and photoluminescence *** such,it contributes to the generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and the activation of reactants for the mineralization of *** to the in situ DRIFTS spectra analysis,the accumulation of benzoic acid takes place possibly through the partial oxidation of the methyl group on toluene at the interface of the LDH/Zn 2 SnO 4 *** process can greatly promote the photocatalytic oxidation of toluene with the enhanced ring-opening *** LDH/Zn 2 SnO 4 is thus demonstrated as superior photocatalyst against toluene(removal efficiency of 89.5%;mineralization of 83.1%;and quantum efficiency of 4.55×10^(−6) molecules/photon).As such,the performance of this composite far exceeds that of their individual components(e.g.,P25,pure Mg-Al LDH,or Zn_(2)SnO_(4)).This study is expected to offer a new path to the interfacial charge transfer mechanism based on the design of highly efficient photocatalysts for air purification.
