A high percentage of the world's population lives in areas where air pollutant concentrations exceed the World Health Organization *** work aims to develop and test,a high-resolution multi-scale air pollution modelling system by integrating a set of adequate *** system is able to provide detailed air pollutant concentrations in urban areas and support air quality management strategies through a better identification of different atmospheric *** also allows furthering the design and assessment of air pollution control measures for a specific *** evaluate its performance and suitability,the system was applied to the macao Special Administrative Region(SAR),China,one of the most densely populated areas on earth,during a winter period when this area is affected by high levels of Particulate matter(Pm).Although the developed system tends to underestimate the Pm concentrations,it revealed a good performance in reproducing the temporal and spatial air pollution *** exceedances of the Chinese air quality standards were calculated and high population exposure to Pm pollution was *** tested urban atmospheric emission reduction scenarios have shown air quality improvements,indicating that emission reduction measures at urban level should focus on the domestic ***,it is crucial to implement joint pollution prevention strategies with neighbouring regions to improve the air quality in macao *** approach developed in this work can support policymakers in defining new strategies to reduce atmospheric pollution in urban areas.

This paper presents a proposed low-noise and high-sensitivity Internet of Thing(IoT)system based on an m&NEmS *** IoT device consists of an m&NEmS resistive accelerometer associated with an electronic readout circuit,which is a silicon nanowire and a Continuous-Time(CT)△∑*** first integrator of the△∑ADC is based on a positive feedback DC-gain enhancement two-stage amplifier due to its high linearity and low-noise *** mitigate both the offset and 1/f noise,a suggested delay-time chopper negative-R stabilization technique is applied around the first integrator.A 65-nm CmOS process implements the CT△∑*** supply voltage of the CmOS circuit is 1.2-V while 0.96-mW is the power consumption and 0.1-mm^(2) is the silicon *** m&NEmS microphone and△∑ADC complete circuit are fabricated and *** a working frequency bandwidth of 20-kHz,the measurement results of the proposed IoT system reach a signal to noise ratio(SNR)of ***,it has a measured dynamic range(DR)of 108-dB and a measured signal to noise and distortion ratio(SNDR)of 101.3-dB.

Composites offer the option of coupling the individual benefits of their constituents to achieve unique material properties,which can be of extra value in many tissue engineering *** combining hydrogelswith fibre-based scaffolds can create tissue constructs with enhanced biological and structural ***,developing efficient and scalable approaches to manufacture such composites is ***,we use a droplet-based bioprinting system called reactive jet impingement(ReJI)to integrate a cell-laden hydrogel with a microfibrous *** system uses microvalves connected to different bioink reservoirs and directed to continuously jet bioink droplets at one another in mid-air,where the droplets react and form a hydrogel that lands on a microfibrous ***–hydrogel–fibre composites are produced by embedding human dermal fibroblasts at two different concentrations(5×10^(6) and 30×10^(6) cells/mL)in a collagen–alginate–fibrin hydrogel matrix and bioprinted onto a fibre-based *** results show that both types of cell–hydrogel–microfibre composite maintain high cell viability and promote cell–cell and cell–biomaterial *** lower fibroblast density triggers cell proliferation,whereas the higher fibroblast density facilitates faster cellular organisation and infiltration into the ***,the fibrous component of the composite is characterised by high swelling properties and the quick release of calcium *** data indicate that the created composite constructs offer an efficient way to create highly functional tissue precursors for laminar tissue engineering,particularly for wound healing and skin tissue engineering applications.

Introduction In Brazil,approximately 5%are born with a congenital disorder,potentially fatal without *** study aims to evaluate the relationship between gastrointestinal congenital malformation(GICm)mortality,health indicators,and socioeconomic factors in *** GICm admissions(Q39-Q45)between 2012 and 2019 were collected using national *** demographics,socioeconomic factors,clinical management,outcomes,and the healthcare workforce density were also accounted *** Surgical Workforce density and the number of neonatal intensive care units in a region were extracted from national datasets and combined to create a clinical index termed'NeoSurg'.Socioeconomic variables were combined to create a socioeconomic index termed SocEcon'.Simple linear regression was used to investigate if the temporal changes of both indexes were *** correlation between mortality and the different indicators in Brazil was evaluated using Pearson's correlation *** Over 8 years,Brazil recorded 12804 GICm *** Southeast led with 6147 cases,followed by the Northeast(2660),South(1727),North(1427),and midwest(843).The North and Northeast reported the highest mortality,lowest NeoSurg,and SocEcon Index ***,mortality rates declined across regions from 7.7%(2012)to 3.9%(2019),a 51.7%*** North and midwest experienced the most substantial reductions,at 63%and 75%,*** significantly correlated with the indexes in nearly all regions(pminants of health and GICm mortality in Brazil,using two novel indexes in the pediatric *** findings provide an opportunity to rethink and discuss new indicators that could enhance our understanding of our country and could lead to the development of necessary solutions to tackle existing challenges in Brazil and globally.

The present study aimed to evaluate multi-element concentrations(Al,As,Ca,Cd,Co,Cr,Cu,Fe,mg,mn,mo,Ni,Pb,Sr)in suspended particulate material(SPm)collected from Ensenada de La Paz(ELP)lagoon,Baja California Sur,mexico in two different periods(September and may)to comprehend their origin,geochemical behavior,mass transfer and associated ecotoxicological *** 24 hr variation coefficient of volumetric SPm levels were found to be 51.7%in September and 40.5%in may,signifying the effects of oceanic *** calculated enrichment factor(EF)values for all the studied elements were of higher magnitude because of the high surface area and oxide nature of SPm,and in this study,mo had the highest EF of 46.77 probably due to its origin from continental *** the ecotoxicological perspective,the integrated toxic risk index revealed low toxic risk to the benthic ***,the mean-ERm-Quotient calculated using the particulate concentrations of As,Cd,Cr,Cu,Ni,Pb indicated 9%probability of toxicity to *** comprehensive geochemical and ecotoxicological assessment of particulate metal concentrations in the ELP lagoon signify low to moderate contamination.

The use of biochar can have several effects on plant germination,depending on raw material,preparation method and application ***,the molecular mechanisms that lead to those results have yet to be *** aim of this research was to improve the understanding of these mechanisms by characterizing the metabolic effects of sugarcane bagasse biochar on soybean *** types of biochars were prepared by pyrolysis at 300℃(SCB300),400℃(SCB400)and 600℃(SCB600).Then,each one was mixed into sand at 1%,3%,5%(w/w)dose,*** experiment was performed in 8 days of incubation,when the number of germinated seeds and the average radicle length were *** evaluate the metabolome,the dry biomass(DB)was subjected to extraction with a mixture of methanol-d4 and D2O(1:1 v/v).The extracts were submitted to metabolomics analysis by Proton Nuclear magnetic *** Relative Germination,Relative Average Radicle Growth and Germination Index increased in all treatments compared to *** the other hand,the DB increased in all treatments,except for SCB300,at doses of 1%and 3%w/*** metabolites(alanine,asparagine,acetic acid,citric acid,glycerol,fatty acids and sucrose)were identified and quantified in DB extracts as the most influential finding for the separation of *** together,these results strongly suggested that biochars accelerated the catabolism of triacylglycerols to sucrose and induced a slight osmotic stress.
