Enhanced direct gaseous cO_(2) fixation into higher bio-succinic acid production and selectivity

Utilizing cO_(2)for bio-succinic acid production is an attractive approach to achieve carbon capture and recycling(ccR)with simultaneous production of a useful platform *** succinogenes and Basfia succiniciproducens were selected and investigated as microbial ***,the type and concentration of inorganic carbon concentration and glucose concentration were evaluated.6 g c/L MgcO_(3)and 24 g c/L glucose were found to be the optimal basic operational conditions,with succinic acid production and carbon yield of over 30 g/L and over 40%,***,for maximum gaseous cO_(2)fixation,carbonate was replaced with cO_(2)at different ***“less carbonate more cO_(2)”condition of the inorganic carbon source was set as carbonate:cO_(2)=1:9(based on the mass of carbon).This condition presented the highest availability of cO_(2)by well-balanced chemical reaction equilibrium and phase equilibrium,showing the best performance with regarding cO_(2)fixation(about 15 mg c/(L·hr)),with suppressed lactic acid *** to key enzymes analysis,the ratio of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase to lactic dehydrogenase was enhanced at high ratios of gaseous cO_(2),which could promote glucose conversion through the succinic acid *** further increase gaseous cO_(2)fixation and succinic acid production and selectivity,stepwise cO_(2)addition was evaluated.50%-65%increase in inorganic carbon utilization was obtained coupled with 20%-30%increase in succinic acid *** was due to the promotion of the succinic acid branch of the glucose metabolism,while suppressing the pyruvate branch,along with the inhibition on the conversion from glucose to lactic acid.

As silicon photonics transitions from research to commercial deployment,packaging solutions that efficiently couple light into highly compact and functional sub-micrometer silicon waveguides are imperative but remain *** 220 nm silicon-on-insulator(SOI)platform,poised to enable large-scale integration,is the most widely adopted by foundries,resulting in established fabrication processes and extensive photonic component *** development of a highly efficient,scalable,and broadband coupling scheme for this platform is therefore of paramount *** two-photon polymerization(TPP)and a deterministic free-form micro-optics design methodology based on the Fermat’s principle,this work demonstrates an ultraefficient and broadband 3-D coupler interface between standard SMF-28 single-mode fibers and silicon waveguides on the 220 nm SOI *** coupler achieves a low coupling loss of 0.8 dB for the fundamental TE mode,along with 1 dB bandwidth exceeding 180 *** broadband operation enables diverse bandwidthdriven applications ranging from communications to ***,the 3-D free-form coupler also enables large tolerance to fiber misalignments and manufacturing variability,thereby relaxing packaging requirements toward cost reduction capitalizing on standard electronic packaging process flows.

Influence of Non-Natural Ageing Temperature on the Microstructural characteristics and Mechanical Properties of cast Aluminum 6063 Alloy

This research considered the effect of non-natural aging on the microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of as-cast aluminum 6063 alloys. The samples were developed through a sand casting process and machined into tensile and impact test samples before carrying out solution heat treatment at 550?c (0.83 Tm) on two parts of the samples while retaining one part as the control. The two parts were further divided into sets denoted A and B and were aged at 180?c (0.27 Tm) and 160?c (0.24 Tm), respectively, for 12 hours. The results showed that sample A has the optimal yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of 192 and 206 MPa, respectively. Likewise, the sample gave the highest impact strength value of about 9.63 J/mm2. The observed results were supported by the optical micrograph, which revealed that the sample has evenly dispersed precipitates in its microstructure. This is deemed responsible for the observed increase in strength of the sample.

Evaluation of the Efficacy of an Aloe barbadensis Based Biological Insecticide against Pests of Abelmochus esculentus for Promoting Ecological Agriculture (Far-North, cameroon)

chemical insecticides have been considered as a means to combat crop pests. Although their effectiveness is evident, their impact on the environment is increasingly being discussed. The aim of this study is to determine the agro-ecological potential of a biological insecticide (c25H32O12) based on Aloe barbadensis in a Sahelian context. For this purpose, a completely randomized block experimental design with 3 replications and 4 treatments was set up to experiment with Aloe barbadensis as a bioinsecticide against pests of Abelmoschus esculentus. However, data were collected using an observation and parameter monitoring grid. This includes the cultivation of Abelmoschus esculentus, soil preparation, seeding and watering, plot labeling, preparation of the bioinsecticide (selection and preparation of raw materials, grinding of Aloe barbadensis miller and extraction of the crude bioinsecticide, quantification of treatment doses and dilution, and obtaining the formulated bioinsecticide), plant watering, plant treatment, and finally parameter monitoring. The results obtained reveal that the level of damage is significantly high in the control treatment T0 (63%) compared to the other treatments, with 29% for treatment T1, 7% for T2, and 1% for T3, implying a strong action capability of this insecticide against pests of Abelmoschus esculentus. Therefore, it can be concluded that for a normal growing season of Abelmoschus esculentus, this biological insecticide should be sprayed 12 times. Furthermore, this biological insecticide is unique in that it does not inflict any gastric toxicity on the pests, which gives it the characteristic of being a repellent. It is a biological insecticide whose efficacy period has been tested, with a minimum duration of 21 days. Introduction: Pharmaceutical companies have boosted vaccine production following the global cOVID-19 pandemic. In côte d’Ivoire, the first vaccination campaign with the AstraZeneca vaccine began on March 1, 2021, as part of the covax program. Despite the positive benefit/risk balance, the adverse effects of vaccination should not be minimized. Objective: To identify adverse events of AstraZeneca’s cOVID-19 vaccination for better management. Materials and Methods: This is a case of a 57-year-old obese (BMI = 39 kg/m2) female health care worker who experienced adverse events in March 2021 after the second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine administered 4 weeks apart. These were subject to mandatory case reporting. Results: Major post-vaccination events occurred in a noisy systemic picture with parameters showing significant disturbances. Biological surveillance remains costly and makes the accountability of the vaccine complex. conclusion: Vaccination remains the ultimate weapon in the fight against endemic diseases but should not overshadow the reporting of adverse events.

The clinical role and underlying mechanisms of valproic acid(VPA)on bone homeostasis remain ***,we confirmed that VPA treatment was associated with decreased bone mass and bone mineral density(BMD)in both patients and *** effect was attributed to VPA-induced elevation in osteoclast formation and *** RNA-sequencing,we observed a significant rise in precursor miR-6359 expression in VPA-treated osteoclast precursors in vitro,and further,a marked upregulation of mature miR-6359(miR-6359)in vivo was demonstrated using quantitative real-time PcR(qRT-PcR)and miR-6359 fluorescent in situ hybridization(miR-6359-FISH).Specifically,the miR-6359 was predominantly increased in osteoclast precursors and macrophages but not in neutrophils,T lymphocytes,monocytes and bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells(BMScs)following VPA stimulation,which influenced osteoclast differentiation and bone-resorptive ***,VPA-induced miR-6359 enrichment in osteoclast precursors enhanced reactive oxygen species(ROS)production by silencing the SIRT3 protein expression,followed by activation of the MAPK signaling pathway,which enhanced osteoclast formation and activity,thereby accelerating bone ***,there are no medications that can effectively treat VPA-induced bone ***,we constructed engineered small extracellular vesicles(E-sEVs)targeting osteoclast precursors in bone and naturally carrying anti-miR-6359 by introducing of EXOmotif(cGGGAGc)in the 3’-end of the anti-miR-6359 *** confirmed that the E-sEVs exhibited decent bone/osteoclast precursor targeting and exerted protective therapeutic effects on VPA-induced bone loss,but not on ovariectomy(OVX)and glucocorticoid-induced osteoporotic models,deepening our understanding of the underlying mechanism and treatment strategies for VPA-induced bone loss.
