Exhumation and preservation of the Yangchuling porphyry W-Mo deposit in the Jiangnan tungsten ore belt， South china: Insights from (U-Th)/He and fission track dating

The Yangchuling porphyry W-Mo deposit (YPWD)， located in the Jiangnan porphyry-skarn tungsten ore belt， is one of the most important and large-scale porphyry W-Mo deposits in South china. While previous zircon U-Pb and molybdenite Re-Os data suggest that Yangchuling W-Mo ore bodies formed almost simultaneously with granodiorite and monzogranitic porphyry at ～150-144 Ma， their post emplacement history remains poorly understood， making their preservation status at depth uncertain. In this paper， new zircon and apatite (U-Th)/He and apatite fission track (ZHe， AHe and AFT， respectively) data of one hornfels and five intrusive rocks from a 1，000-meter borehole are presented. These， together with new inverse thermal history models and previous geochronological data， help elucidate the post-diagenetic exhumation history and preservation status of the Yangchuling porphyry W-Mo deposit. In general， ZHe and AHe ages decrease gradually from the near surface downwards and have relatively little intra-sample variation， ranging from 133 to 73 Ma and 67 to 25 Ma， respectively. All four granodiorites yield similar AFT ages that range from 63 to 55 Ma with mean track lengths varying from 12.2 ± 0.7 to 12.6 ± 0.5 μm. Thermal history modelling indicates that the Yangchuling ore district experienced slow， monotonic cooling since the cretaceous. Age-depth relationships are interpreted as recording ～3.7 ± 0.8 km of cretaceous-recent exhumation in response to regional extension throughout South china thought to have been driven by subduction retreat of the Paleo-Pacific Plate. comparison of estimated net exhumation and previous metallogenic depth of ～4-5 km suggests that W-Mo ore bodies could still exist at depths of up to ～1.3 ± 0.8 km relative to Earth surface in the YPWD region. Preservation of the YPWD is attributed to the limited amount of regional denudation during the Late cretaceous and cenozoic.

An apatite U-Pb thermal history map for the northern Gawler craton,South Australia

Apatite U-Pb thermochronology was applied to granitoid basement samples across the northern Gawler craton to unravel the Proterozoic, post-orogenic, cooling history and to examine the role of major fault zones during cooling. Our observations indicate that cooling following the ~2500 Ma Sleaford Orogeny and ~1700 Ma Kimban Orogeny is restricted to the christie and Wilgena Domains of the central northern Gawler craton. The northern Gawler craton mainly records post-Hiltaba Event(~1590 Ma) U-Pb cooling ages. cooling following the ~1560 Ma Kararan Orogeny is preserved within the coober Pedy Ridge,Nawa Domain and along major shear zones within the south-western Fowler Domain. The Nawa Domain samples preserve U-Pb cooling ages that are >150 Ma younger than the samples within the coober Pedy Ridge and Fowler Domain, indicating that later(~1300 Ma) fault movement within the Nawa Domain facilitated cooling of these samples, caused by arc collision in the Madura Province of eastern Western Australia. When compared to^(40)Ar/^(39) Ar from muscovite, biotite and hornblende, our new apatite U-Pb ages correlate well, particularly in regions of higher data density. Our data also preserve a progressive younging of U-Pb ages from the nucleus of the craton to the periphery with a stark contrast in U-Pb ages across major structures such as the Karari Shear Zone and the Southern Overthrust, which indicates the timing of reactivation of these major crustal structures. Although this interpolation was based solely on thermochronological data and did not take into account structural or other geological data, these maps are consistent with the structural architecture of the Gawler craton and reveal the thermal footprint of known tectonic and magmatic events in the Gawler craton.

Flame Synthesis of Zr/ZSM-5 catalysts with Tunable Acidity for the Oxidative Dehydrogenation of Propane to Propene

Tuning the surface acidity of ZSM-5 catalyst is essential to achieve desired propene selectivity and *** several ratios of Zr were utilized to modify ZSM-5 via flame spray pyrolysis technique coupled with a pulse spray evaporation *** interaction between Zr and ZSM-5 in the flame influenced the physicochemical and acidity properties of the Zr/*** increasing Zr ratio in ZSM-5 shows coated layers of irregular nano-sized Zr with an increase in crystallite sizes due to the synergetic effect between Zr and *** surface chemical analysis revealed increased lattice oxygen on the Zr modified ZSM-5(1:4) sample compared to other *** acidity analysis revealed the Lewis and Br?nsted acid distribution in the weak and medium acid sites on the catalyst ***,the increase in Zr loading decreased the concentration of Br?nsted acid sites and tuned the catalyst surface to more Lewis acidity,promoting propene selectivity and hindering the over-oxidation of *** modified ZSM-5 catalysts were examined in a fixed bed reactor within 300℃-700℃ at a gas hourly space velocity(GHSV) of 6000 mL·g(catalysts)^(-1)·h^(-1) for the oxidative dehydrogenation of propane(ODHP) to *** the catalysts,Zr/ZSM-5(1:4) exhibited the best propene yield, with 57.19% propane conversion and 75.54% selectivity to propene and the highest *** work provides a promising strategy for tuning the surface acidity of ZSM-5 with Zr for ODHP applications.

Data-driven diagnosis of high temperature PEM fuel cells based on the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy: Robustness improvement and evaluation

Utilizing machine learning techniques for data-driven diagnosis of high temperature PEM fuel cells is beneficial and meaningful to the system durability. Nevertheless, ensuring the robustness of diagnosis remains a critical and challenging task in real application. To enhance the robustness of diagnosis and achieve a more thorough evaluation of diagnostic performance, a robust diagnostic procedure based on electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and a new method for evaluation of the diagnosis robustness was proposed and investigated in this work. To improve the diagnosis robustness: (1) the degradation mechanism of different faults in the high temperature PEM fuel cell was first analyzed via the distribution of relaxation time of EIS to determine the equivalent circuit model (EcM) with better interpretability, simplicity and accuracy;(2) the feature extraction was implemented on the identified parameters of the EcM and extra attention was paid to distinguishing between the long-term normal degradation and other faults;(3) a Siamese Network was adopted to get features with higher robustness in a new embedding. The diagnosis was conducted using 6 classic classification algorithms—support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbor (KNN), logistic regression (LR), decision tree (DT), random forest (RF), and Naive Bayes employing a dataset comprising a total of 1935 collected EIS. To evaluate the robustness of trained models: (1) different levels of errors were added to the features for performance evaluation;(2) a robustness coefficient (Roubust_c) was defined for a quantified and explicit evaluation of the diagnosis robustness. The diagnostic models employing the proposed feature extraction method can not only achieve the higher performance of around 100% but also higher robustness for diagnosis models. Single-atom Pt on carbon nanotubes for selective electrocatalysis

Utilizing supported single atoms as catalysts presents an opportunity to reduce the usage of critical raw materials such as platinum,which are essential for electrochemical reactions such as hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR).Herein,we describe the synthesis of a Pt single electrocatalyst inside single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWcNTs)via a redox *** via electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron microscopy,and X-ray absorption spectroscopy show the single-atom nature of the *** electrochemical behavior of the sample to hydrogen and oxygen was investigated using the advanced floating electrode technique,which minimizes mass transport limitations and gives a thorough insight into the activity of the *** single-atom samples showed higher HOR activity than state-of-the-art 30%Pt/c while almost no oxygen reduction reaction activity in the proton exchange membrane fuel cell operating *** selective activity toward HOR arose as the main fingerprint of the catalyst confinement in the SWcNTs.

Academic productivity correlates with industry earnings in foot and ankle fellowship programs in the United States:A retrospective analysis

Beta-HcG Levels and Ovarian Ultrasonography Results among Non-Pregnant Women of Reproductive Age in Port Harcourt, Nigeria: A cross-Sectional Study

Background: certain ovarian cancers that were previously common in postmenopausal women are now increasingly observed in women of reproductive age. The research on using β-HcG as a diagnostic biomarker for ovarian cancer in women of reproductive age is ongoing. Aim: This study assessed the level of serum β-HcG in non-pregnant women of reproductive age and determined its potential association with suspicious ovarian ultrasonography results. Methods: The study was conducted in Port Harcourt, Nigeria. This study adopted a cross-sectional design on a quota sample of 224 case notes of women aged 18 - 40 years obtained from eight diagnostic centres. A data extraction form was used for data collection. Data analysis employed descriptive statistics, chi-square, Fisher’s exact test, and Odds Ratio at 95% confidence and 5% significance levels. Results: About 5.8% of the participants exhibited detectable levels of serum β-HcG above 5 IU/L (World Health Organization reference) at a mean concentration of 5.87 (±1.75) IU/L. About 4.0% of the participants had suspicious ovarian lesions identified through ultrasonography. Participants with elevated serum β-HcG levels above the WHO reference were 59 times more likely to have suspicious ovarian lesions (Odds ratio: 59.4, 95%cI: 12.3 - 287.8, p β-HcG level and age (p = 0.041) as well as parity (p conclusion: Serum β-HcG levels above the WHO reference in non-pregnant women were associated with suspicious ovarian lesions. More rigorous primary research, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses are needed to confirm the findings of this study.
