Visual Lip-Reading for Quranic Arabic Alphabets and Words Using Deep Learning

The continuing advances in deep learning have paved the way for several challenging *** such idea is visual lip-reading,which has recently drawn many research ***-reading,often referred to as visual speech recognition,is the ability to understand and predict spoken speech based solely on lip movements without using *** to the lack of research studies on visual speech recognition for the Arabic language in general,and its absence in the Quranic research,this research aims to fill this *** paper introduces a new publicly available Arabic lip-reading dataset containing 10490 videos captured from multiple viewpoints and comprising data samples at the letter level(i.e.,single letters(single alphabets)and Quranic disjoined letters)and in the word level based on the content and context of the book Al-Qaida *** research uses visual speech recognition to recognize spoken Arabic letters(Arabic alphabets),Quranic disjoined letters,and Quranic words,mainly phonetic as they are recited in the Holy Quran according to Quranic study aid entitled Al-Qaida *** study could further validate the correctness of pronunciation and,subsequently,assist people in correctly reciting ***,a detailed description of the created dataset and its construction methodology is *** new dataset is used to train an effective pre-trained deep learning CNN model throughout transfer learning for lip-reading,achieving the accuracies of 83.3%,80.5%,and 77.5%on words,disjoined letters,and single letters,respectively,where an extended analysis of the results is ***,the experimental outcomes,different research aspects,and dataset collection consistency and challenges are discussed and concluded with several new promising trends for future work.

Structural, elastic, and electronic properties of topological semimetal WC-type MX family by first-principles calculation

Recently, the non-centrosymmetric WC-type materials(i.e., MoP, ZrTe, TaN, etc) have attracted extensive interest due to the discovery of their topological *** means of the first-principles calculations, here we have investigated the structural, thermodynamic, elastic, and electronic properties of the WC-type MX compounds(TiS, TiSe, TiTe, ZrS, ZrSe,ZrTe, HfS, HfSe, and HfTe).Among these nine compounds, five of them(TiS, ZrS, ZrSe0.9, ZrTe, and Hf0.92 Se) have been experimentally synthesized to crystallize in the WC-type structure and other four members have never been *** calculations demonstrated that they are all structurally, thermodynamically, and dynamically stable, indicating that all of them should be possibly *** have also derived their elastic constants of single crystalline and their bulk and shear moduli in terms of the *** ***, in similarity to ZrTe, all these compounds have been theoretically derived to be topological *** TiS is unique because of the coexistence of the Dirac nodal lines(DNLs) and sixfold degenerate nodal points(sixfold DNPs), the other eight members are revealed to exhibit coexisted Weyl nodes(WPs) and triply degenerate nodal points(TDNPs).Their electronic and topological properties have been further discussed.

investigation of Extracts from Tunisian Ethnomedicinal Plants as Antioxidants,Cytotoxins,and Antimicrobials

Objective To determine the medicinal potential of various plants and their parts extracted with different solvents. Methods The total phenolic content of acetonitrile/water（60%-40%）（ACN/W） and aqueous（W） extract fractions was determined by high-performance liquid chromatography（HPLC）, and terpenic compounds were detected by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry（GC/MS）. Antioxidant activity of the samples was evaluated using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl（DPPH） assay and β-carotene bleaching method. Cell viability was investigated by thiazolyl blue tetrazolium bromide [3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol）-2-yl 2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide]（MTT） assay. The mechanisms involved in cytotoxic activity were investigated in a murine macrophage cell line（RAW 264.7） and cancer lines. Results Our findings show that 11 plant species exhibited biological activity. in addition, moderate antibacterial activity was reported against one or more of the tested bacterial strains at two concentrations： 300 μg and 3 mg/disc. Furthermore, our data reveal that among all plants investigated, some extract and hydrophobic fractions were potent scavengers of the DPPH radical（6.78 μg/m L 〈 EC50 〈 8.55 μg/mL）. Taken together, our results show that Nerium oleander（NOACN/W） and Pituranthos tortuosus（PTACN/W） were highly cytotoxic against RAW 264.7 cells with iC80 values of 0.36, and 1.55 μg/mL, respectively. in contrast, murine macrophage cell lines had low growth and were significantly sensitive to water extracts of Thymus hirtus sp. algeriensis（THW）, Lavandula multifida（LMW）, and ACN/W extract of Erica multiflora（EMACN/W） at doses 〉 400, 47.20, and 116.74 μg/m L, respectively. The current work demonstrates that RAW 264.7 cell proliferation was inhibited by samples in a dose-dependent manner. Conclusion Our findings, validated through free radical scavenging activity, agar diffusion assay, and cytotoxicity of essential oils towards cancer cells, show that ethnomedicinal plants used in this work have a novel

Numerical Simulation for Bioconvection of Unsteady Stagnation Point Flow of Oldroyd-B Nanofluid with Activation Energy and Temperature-Based Thermal Conductivity Past a Stretching Disk

A mathematical modeling is explored to scrutinize the unsteady stagnation point flow of Oldroyd-B nanofluid under the thermal conductivity and solutal diffusivity with bioconvection *** of Joule heating and Arrhenius activation energy including convective boundary conditions are studied,and the specified surface temperature and constant temperature of wall(CTW)are *** consequences of thermal conductivity and diffusivity are also taken into *** flow is generated through stretchable disk geometry,and the behavior of non-linear thermal radiation is incorporated in energy *** partial differential equations governing the fluid flow in the structure is reduced into dimensionless nonlinear ODEs by applying suitable similarity *** obtained system of non-dimensional nonlinear ODEs is treated numerically with the help of bvp4c solver in Matlab under shooting *** impact of various prominent parameters on velocity profile,thermal profile,volumetric nanoparticle concentration and microorganism distribution is depicted in graphical *** numerical outcomes for skin friction coefficient,heat transfer rate,Sherwood number as well as microorganism density number versus various parameters are listed in the *** results show that fluid velocity is reduced by increasing buoyancy ratio parameter,while the fluid flow increases with mixed convective *** temperature profile is enhanced with the amount of nonlinear thermal radiation and temperature dependent thermal ***,concentration profiles of nanoparticles have opposite behavior for Brownian motion coefficient and thermophoresis diffusion parameter,and it is noticed that by varying Peclet number the microorganisms profile is *** proposed study is useful to control and optimize heat transfer in industrial applications.

Unusual complication in patient with Gardner's syndrome: Coexistence of triple gastrointestinal perforation and lower gastrointestinal bleeding: A case report and review of literature

Gardner's syndrome(GS) is a rare syndrome with autosomal dominant inheritance, which is characterized by multiple intestinal polyps, dental anomalies, desmoid tumors, and soft tissue tumors. All gastrointestinal symptoms seen in GS are associated with the underlying familial adenomatosis polyposis and abdominal desmoid tumors, with the most common symptoms being anemia, lower gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, diarrhea, obstruction, and mucous defecation. To our best knowledge, no case of GS that has presented with gastrointestinal perforation and bleeding has ever been reported in the English language medical literature. A 37-year-old male who had been diagnosed with GS five years earlier was referred to our clinic for lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Despite the absence of a bleeding focus on conventional angiography, the patient was operated on with laparotomy, due to the persistence of both signs and symptoms of mild peritonitis. On the laparotomy, the patient was noted to have areas of perforation in the duodenum, splenic flexura, and midrectum. The third and fourth part of the duodenum, the proximal 15 cm segment of the jejunum, a 10 cm segment of the terminal ileum, the whole colon, and the upper and middle rectum were resected, and duodenojejunal side-to-side anastomosis and terminal ileostomy were performed. The histopathological analysis of the large mass measuring 30 cm × 20 cm was reported as a desmoid tumor. The pathological examination of the tumor foci detected in the colonic specimen revealed poorly differentiated adenosquamous carcinoma.

Combination of Model-based Observer and Support Vector Machines for Fault Detection of Wind Turbines

Support vector machines and a Kalman-like observer are used for fault detection and isolation in a variable speed horizontalaxis wind turbine composed of three blades and a full converter. The support vector approach is data-based and is therefore robust to process knowledge. it is based on structural risk minimization which enhances generalization even with small training data set and it allows for process nonlinearity by using flexible kernels. in this work, a radial basis function is used as the kernel. Different parts of the process are investigated including actuators and sensors faults. With duplicated sensors, sensor faults in blade pitch positions,generator and rotor speeds can be detected. Faults of type stuck measurements can be detected in 2 sampling periods. The detection time of offset/scaled measurements depends on the severity of the fault and on the process dynamics when the fault occurs. The converter torque actuator fault can be detected within 2 sampling periods. Faults in the actuators of the pitch systems represents a higher difficulty for fault detection which is due to the fact that such faults only affect the transitory state(which is very fast) but not the final stationary state. Therefore, two methods are considered and compared for fault detection and isolation of this fault: support vector machines and a Kalman-like observer. Advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed. On one hand, support vector machines training of transitory states would require a big amount of data in different situations, but the fault detection and isolation results are robust to variations in the input/operating point. On the other hand, the observer is model-based, and therefore does not require training, and it allows identification of the fault level, which is interesting for fault reconfiguration. But the observability of the system is ensured under specific conditions, related to the dynamics of the inputs and outputs. The whole fault detection
