Robotic surgery and liver transplantation:A single-center experience of 501 robotic donor hepatectomies

Background:Over the past two decades robotic surgery has been introduced to many areas including liver *** liver surgery is an alternative minimally invasive ***,moving on to the complexity of living donor hepatectomies,the advantages of robotic versus laparoscopic approach have convinced us to establish the robotic platform as a standard for living donor ***:From November 2018 to January 2022,501 fully robotic donor hepatectomies,including 177 left lateral donor lobes,112 full left lobes and 212 full right lobes were *** were donated to 296 adult recipients and 205 pediatric *** age,sex,body weight,body mass index(BMI),graft weight,graft to body weight ratio(GBWR),operative time,blood loss,first warm ischemic time,pain score,length of intensive care unit(ICU)stay and hospital stay,and complications were retrospectively analyzed based on a prospectively kept *** were evaluated for graft and patient survival,age,sex,BMI,body weight,model of end-stage liver disease score,blood loss,transfusions,operative time,cold ischemic time,length of hospital stay and ***:There was no donor *** cases needed to be converted to open *** median blood loss was 60 mL(range 20-800),median donor operative time was 6.77 h(range 2.93-11.53),median length of hospital stay was 4 days(range 2-22).Complication rate in donors classified following ClavienDindo was 6.4%(n=32)with one grade Ⅲ ***-year actual recipient overall survival was 91.4%;87.5% for adult recipients and 97.1% for pediatric ***-year actual graft overall survival was 90.6%;87.5% for adult recipients and 95.1% for pediatric ***-hospital mortality was 6%,9.1%(27/296)for adult recipients and 1.4%(3/205)for pediatric *** recipients’morbidity was 19.8%(n=99).Twenty-eight recipients(5.6%)had biliary and 22(4.4%)vascular ***(12.0%)recipients needed to

Motor Control Network Effective Connectivity in Regulating Muscle Force Output

Objective of the study: This study aimed at characterizing output features of the higher-order motor control centers (hoMCCs), including secondary (premotor cortex [Pre] and supplementary motor area [SMA]) and association (prefrontal cortex [PFC]) motor regions to the primary motor cortex (M1) during graded force tasks. It is well known that one of the major roles of the primary motor cortex (M1) is controlling motor output such as muscle force. however, it is unclear how the hoMCCs interact with M1 in regulating voluntary muscle contractions. Methods: fMRI data was acquired during graded force tasks and fMRI-based effective connectivity (EC) and muscle force analyses were performed to study the relationship between hoMCCs-M1 effective connectivity and voluntarily exerted handgrip force. Results: The results show that there is a consistent information flow from the hoMCCs to M1 under all force conditions, suggesting a hierarchical control mechanism in the brain in regulating voluntary muscle force. Only the premotor cortex exhibited a significant role in mediating the level of force production through its EC with M1 but that role diminished when the exerted force was high, suggesting perhaps a ceiling and/or fatigue effect on the EC. A flip in the direction of EC from the primary sensory cortex (S1) to the hoMCCs (PFC, SMA, and Pre) at lower force levels while at higher forces EC was observed from the hoMCCs to S1. Conclusion: The hoMCCs regulate M1 output to produce desired voluntary muscle force. Only the Pre-to-M1 connectivity strength directly correlates with the force level especially from low to moderate levels. The hoMCCs are involved in modulating higher force production likely by strengthening M1 output and downgrading inhibition from S1 to M1.

Macrosomia in non-gestational diabetes pregnancy:glucose tolerance test characteristics and feto-maternal complications in tropical Asia Pacific Australia

Objective:To look into the glucose tolerance test characteristics and determine complications in non-gestational diabetes pregnant ***:From 2006 to 2009 all non-gestational diabetes mellitus(non-CDM)pregnant women who delivered macrosomia at the North Australia's Townsville hospital were retrospectively reviewed by extracting data from clinical *** tolerance tests results were analysed in the light of an earlier diagnosis of ***:Ninety-one non-CDM mothers with macrosomia were studied and compared with 41normoglycemic subjects without *** the subjects with non-GDM macrosomia,45(49.4%)had normal SO g glucose challenge test(GCT)without further testing,another 8(8.8%)had abnormal GCT but normal 75 g oral glucose tolerance test(OGTT).A total of 4(4.4%)subjects had normal GCT and ***.14 out of 16(87.5%)subjects who were tested with OGTT owing to past history of macrosomia had normal results but delivered macrosomic *** 12 subjects had both GCT and OGTT,the rest of the cohort had either of the two *** with non-CDM macrosomia had higher frequency of neonatal hypoglycaemia 34%as compared to 10%in nonmacrosomic babies(P=0.003).Other feto-maternal complications were similar in both ***:No significant pattern of glucose tolerance characteristics was identified in nonGDM mothers with macrosomic *** spite of being normoglycemic significant neonatal hypoglycaemia was recorded in non-GDM macrosomic *** prospective studies on a larger population are needed to verify our findings.

Influence of Process Variables on the Structure of Mechanically Alloyed Ti_3Al-base Intermetallics

During mechanical alloying variables such as the type of mill,milling intensity,milling time,milling at- mosphere and ball-to-powder weight ratio(BPR)affect the morphology and constitution of the product. The effect of milling time,milling atmosphere and BPR on the nature of the product formed in mechanical- ly alloyed pure Ti and blended elemental binary Ti-Al,and ternary Ti-AI-Nb alloy powders was described. Mechanical alloying of pure titanium results,after long milling times,in the formation of an fcc *** the binary alloy,a solid solution of aluminum in titanium,an amorphous phase,and a fcc phase form with increasing milling *** fcc phase,which is probably a result of TiN formation,occurs more rapidly in air or nitrogen than in an inert *** of the B2 phase in the ternary alloys depends both on alloy composition and the milling atmosphere,with 100％ formation in all atmospheres in Ti-25Al-25Nb but not in Ti-24Al-11Nb,and an inert atmosphere favoring *** times required for the formation of the different phases decrease as the BPR increases;but their sequence is *** on this infor- mation,“milling maps”which describe phase formation as a function of the BPR and milling time are con- *** from the milling balls increased as the BPR was increased.

The Protective Effect of Grape Seed Extract on Cardiotoxicity Induced by Doxorubicin Drug in Male Rats

Objective: This work was designed to determine the productive effect of grape seed proanthocynadine extract (GSPE) and Vitamin E against Doxorubicin (DOX) induced myocardial toxicity in 50 male. Wister rates were divided in five groups. The 1st group was untreated and served as a control. The 2nd group was treated with DOX only, the 3rd group was pretreated with GSPE, the 4th group was pretreated with Vitamin E, and the 5th group was pretreated with GSPE and Vitamin E. DOX was administered by single i.p (Intraperitonial) injection of 15 mg/kg/body weight to induce cardio toxicity and Vitamin E was administered at a dose of 400 IU/kg/bodyweight/day, p.o (per oral) for 10 days prior to DOX administration [1]. GSPE was given at a dose of 150 mg/kg/bodyweight/ day, p.o (per oral) for 10 days before treatment with DOX. After 2 weeks experimental period, blood samples and heart tissues were taken from all groups. The general observations, mortality, histopathology, biomarker enzymes like Lactate Dehydrogenase (LDh), Creatine Phosphokinase (CPK), Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST), Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT), Antioxidants such as Glutathione (GSh), Superoxide dismutase (SOD), Catalase (CAT) and Malondialdehyde (MDA) were monitored after 2 weeks of the last dose. Results: Administration of DOX caused cardiomyopathy associated with an antioxidant deficiency. Pretreatment with GSPE and Vitamin E significantly (P he myocardium from the toxic effects of DOX by reducing the elevated level of biomarkers and diagnostic enzymes like LDh, CPK, AST, and ALT to normal levels. GSPE and Vitamin E increased the GSh, SOD and CAT levels and decreased the MDA levels in cardiac tissue. Conclusion: These results suggest a cardioprotective effect of GSPE and Vitamin E due to its antioxidant properties.

到目前为止,油/水的分离是一个世界性的问题,大量废油和溢油的排放对人类的健康和整个的生存环境造成了很大的危害。因此,我们必须要制备出拥有相应功能的材料,以防出现处理此类问题的需要。虽然目前有许多材料可用于补救石油泄漏的情况,但这些材料往往效率低下,并且从某种意义上来说,这些材料也不环保。近年来,超疏水材料因其可应用方向众多而备受关注。而我们这项研究的目的就是制造用于油/水分离的超/疏水材料。首先,我们采用简单而低成本的工艺,制备与Si O溶胶结合的羟基化BN,然后通过浸涂的方法,在聚氨酯(PU)泡沫上嵌入BN/Si O(BN/Si O@PU)。BN/Si O@PU由于其自身的疏水性,它会漂浮在水面上,所以我们选择使用各种有机溶剂或油进行吸收测试以测试其性能。与BN/Si O气凝胶、BN@PU和Si O@PU相比,BN/Si O@PU对有机溶剂和油具有较高的吸收率和高吸收能力,可吸收多达40倍自身的重量。它还能够选择性地从油水混合物中吸收油或有机溶剂,分离效率高于95%,具有良好的可回收性与20个吸收周期,甚至可以用于商业废油的分离处理。其次,通过在亚麻织物上浸涂六甲基二硅氮烷(PDMS)、ZIF-90和氟硅烷(FAS)来制备改性织物。PDMS是自然界中一种已知的疏水性有机硅,我们将它涂在织物上,它作为潜在的疏水剂,可在表面遭到破坏时迁移到表面,以恢复疏水性。然后我们将经水热合成制备的ZIF-90涂在麻织物上,以提供纳米级粗糙度,再用FAS进行改性,以提高疏水性。得到的改性麻织物具有超强的疏水性,水接触角(WCA)为151°。同时,它还表现出了对几种油/水乳液的良好分离能力,达到了99.5%的最大分离效率和1213 L m h的通量。改性麻织物具有出色的可回收性,可回收10个周期,在机械耐久性和化学稳定性测试方面也表现出良好的稳定性,可在室温下通过热处理自行修复。在第三项工作中,我们用蛋黄壳Si O-Ti O纳米粒子和六甲基二硅氮烷(hMDS)涂层修饰聚丙烯无纺布涂层,制成了超疏水织物。改性织物的水接触角(WCA)为154°。它还显示了对多个油/水乳液的良好分离能力,最大分离效率达到99.5%,通量为3558 L mh。改性织物具有出色的可回收性,可回收10个周期,分离效率超过98%,通量超过3500 L mh。改性织物具有良好的机械耐久性,200次磨损周期后仍然是超疏水表面。它还对hSO、Na Oh、盐溶液和DMF表现出良好的化学稳定性。它也可以在室温下和高温下自我修复。这些数据证明改性超疏水材料具有良好的机械和化学稳定性,自我修复能力和油/水乳液的高效分离效率。

Prediction of BRIC Stock Price Using ARIMA,SutteARIMA,and holt-Winters

The novel coronavirus has played a disastrous role in many countries *** outbreak became a major epidemic,engulfing the entire world in lockdown and it is now speculated that its economic impact might be worse than economic deceleration and *** paper identifies two different models to capture the trend of closing stock prices in Brazil(BVSP),Russia(***),India(BSESN),and China(SSE),i.e.,(BRIC)*** predict the stock prices for three daily time periods,so appropriate preparations can be undertaken to solve these ***,we compared the ARIMA,SutteARIMA and holt-Winters(h-W)methods to determine the most effective model for predicting *** stock closing price of BRIC country data was obtained from Yahoo *** data dates from 01 November 2019 to 11 December 2020,then divided into two categories-training data and test *** data covers 01 November 2019 to 02 December *** days(03December 2020 to 11December 2020)of datawas tested to determine the accuracy of the models using training data as a *** measure the accuracy of the models,we obtained the means absolute percentage error(MAPE)and mean square error(MSE).Prediction model holt-Winters was found to be the most suitable for forecasting the Brazil stock price(BVSP)while MAPE(0.50)and MSE(579272.65)with holt-Winters(smaller than ARIMA and SutteARIMA),model SutteARIMA was found most appropriate to predict the stock prices of Russia(***),India(BSESN),and China(SSE)when compared to ARIMA and *** andMSE with SutteARIMA:Russia(MAPE:0.7;MSE:940.20),India(MAPE:0.90;MSE:207271.16),and China(MAPE:0.72;MSE:786.28).Finally,holt-Winters predicted the daily forecast values for the Brazil stock price(BVSP)(12 December to 14 December 2020 i.e.,115757.6,116150.9 and 116544.1),while SutteARIMA predicted the daily forecast values of Russia stock prices(***)(12 December to 14 December 2020 i.e.,3238.06,3241.54 and 3245.01),India stock price(BSESN)(
