Geriatric patients affected by stable multi-vessel coronary artery disease (CAD) are at the crossroad: they can live with the risks of acute coronary syndrome, malignant arrhythmias or heart failure, or they can undergo a rapid evaluation for myocardial revascularization. It might be a common thought that the risks inherent the revascularization procedure outnumber the perceivable benefits in older patients, and the percutaneous or especially the surgical option tends to be abandoned. Those "high risk” patients are generally discharged with maximum tolerated medical therapy. All over the world, patients with multivessel CAD are becoming older and with a greater number of comorbidities, and it is important to point out that those patients should not be negated a revascularization procedure, which proved to prolong survival from cardiac-related events. Appropriate interventions for elderly patients should be delineated shortly, as the number of octogenarians is expected to quadruple in the next 50 years.

Neurological complications after cardiac surgery, ranging from permanent stroke to transient dysfunction, represent a key issue in the management of geriatric patients. Many patients aged 70 or more have history of neurological dysfunctions, which increases the risk of complications and sequelae. Severe neurologic diseases, such as strokes, occur in up to 6% of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. Therefore, in the setting of fragile patients, prevention is more important than treatment. There are several intraoperative mechanisms of neurological injury, such as embolism, inflammation, intraoperative anemia, carotid or intracranial artery disease, but hypoperfusion appears to be the final common pathway of cerebral damage. Many systems to monitor cerebral oximetry and allow physicians to restore an adequate cerebral perfusion have been developed over the years. Among these, near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) has been extensively investigated and currently represents the non-invasive real-time tool to monitor the oxygen content of cerebral tissue during adult cardiac surgery. However, its effectiveness is highly debated, since current studies lead to controversial results. The existing literature raises four major questions:

We report our recent work on mean-field potential effects on the elliptic flows of matters and antimatters in heavy ion collisions leading to the production of a baryon-rich *** the framework of a multiphase transport(AMPT) model that includes both initial partonic and final hadronic interactions,we have found that including mean-field potentials in the hadronic phase leads to a splitting of the elliptic flows of particles and their antiparticles,providing thus a plausible explanation of the different elliptic flows between p and anti-p,K+and K-,and π+ and π- observed by the STAR Collaboration in the Beam Energy Scan(BES) program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider(RHIC).Using a partonic transport model based on the Nambu-Jona-Lasinio(NJL) model,we have also studied the effect of scalar and vector mean fields on the elliptic flows of quarks and antiquarks in these *** quarks and antiquarks at hadronization to hadrons via the quark coalescence model,we have found that the elliptic flow differences between particles and antiparticles also depend on the strength of the quark vector coupling in baryon-rich quark-gluon plasma,providing thus the possibility of extracting information on the latter's properties from the BES program at RHIC.

We present two recent methods,called UTAGMS and GRIP,from the viewpoint of robust ranking of multi-criteria *** these methods,the preference information provided by a single or multiple Decision Makers(DMs)is composed of holistic judgements of some selected alternatives,called reference *** judgements express pairwise comparisons of some reference alternatives(in UTAGMS),and comparisons of selected pairs of reference alternatives from the viewpoint of intensity of preference(in GRIP).Ordinal regression is used to find additive value functions compatible with this preference *** whole set of compatible value functions is then used in Linear Programming(LP)to calculate a necessary and possible weak preference relations in the set of all alternatives,and in the set of all pairs of *** the necessary relation is true for all compatible value functions,the possible relation is true for at least one compatible value *** necessary relation is a partial preorder and the possible relation is a complete and negatively transitive *** necessary relations show consequences of the given preference information which are robust because "always true".We illustrate this methodology with an example.

在自动化领域中,估计功率分立器件的寿命值的工作十分受到重视。用户要求对器件寿命给予尽可能精确的表征,以保证满足他们的需要。本文指出:正确的寿命估计工作中应重视分析在器件施加功率期间,器件结温的变化。本文的目的,首先是对当前评估硅片中温度变化的各种方法进行简要的评述;然后针对如何能精确预估各种布局的异质结器件的真实温度分布状况提出一个新方法。新方法是在用户的EDA(电子设计自动化)流程的基础上,对分立功率器件经常处于的开通/关断工作条件,收集非常精确的热的有关信息。本文对ST微电子公司生产的功率MOSFET器件进行了深入的热研究。研究指出,器件的布局是如何影响有源区内的电流分布的。因此,以往采用的通过平均温度进行评估的方法是不合用了,因为该评估方法的结论仅取决于在器件引出端上所获取的电流数据和电压数据。
