Objectives: The ma.n objective of this study wa. to investiga.e the ba.teria. infections of urina.y tra.t in pa.ients with urolithia.is. The pa.ients were referred to a.d/or visiting the Urology Depa.tment in Tikrit Tea.hing Hospita. in Tikrit city. Methods: The present study wa. ca.ried out from November 2011 until July 2012. One hundred a.d sixty pa.ients with urolithia.is were included in the present study whose a.es ra.ged from 12 to 70 yea.s. Ma.e to fema.e ra.io wa. a.most 2:1. The control group consisted of two groups;group one consisted of 40 persons (20 ma.es a.d 20 fema.es) who were selected ra.domly from Tikrit city during the period of this study a.d they ha. no previous persona. nor fa.ily history of urolithia.is, while group two consist of 40 persons (20 ma.es a.d 20 fema.es) infected with urina.y tra.t infection. Urine culture wa. done for a.l the pa.ients a.d the control group. Results: Forty five percent (45/160) of these ha. UTI’s. Six pa.ients revea.ed mixed ba.teria. growth. Eighty-four percent (38/45) of pa.ients with UTI were infected with gra. nega.ive orga.isms where a. only 16% (7/45) of pa.ients were infected with gra. positive orga.isms. The ma.ority of the gra. nega.ive ba.teria.isola.ed belonged to the fa.ily Enteroba.teria.ea. pa.ticula.ly E. coli a. it wa. isola.ed from 14 (31%) ca.es. The urea.e producing ba.teria.were isola.ed from 31 ca.es (50%). Conclusions: UTI’s in urolithia.is wa. more frequent in fema.es tha. ma.es a.d the percenta.es were 28/45 a.d 17/45 respectively. The most effective a.timicrobia. a.ent wa. a.ika.in a.d the lea.t effective one wa. a.picillin, wherea. ciprofloxa.in, cefoxitin, levofloxa.in, nitrofura.toin, na.idixic a.id, chlora.phenicol, a.oxycillin a.d genta.icin were effective a. different levels.

Objective: This study a.med to investiga.e the histopa.hologica. exa.ina.ion of the testicula. biopsies in infertile ma.es with a.oospermia. The pa.ients were referred to the Urology Depa.tment in Sa.a. a.den Hospita.. Methods: The present study wa. ca.ried out from Ma. 2017 until June 2018 a.d the number of the pa.ients group wa. 60. The pa.ients a.ed between 20 to 50 yea.s. 20 of them were selected a.d subjected to histopa.hologica. exa.ina.ions by ta.ing biopsies from their testes. Results: The sertoli-cell-only syndrome (SCOS) wa. the most common positive histopa.hologica. finding comprising 35% of the ca.es. This wa. followed by testicula. a.rophy with 30%, while ma.ura.ion a.rest wa. 20%. The percenta.e of hyposperma.ogenesis wa. 10% a.d norma. sperma.ogenesis wa. 5%. Conclusion: a.ong the 20 specimens exa.ined, the sertoli-cell-only syndrome (SCOS) wa. the most common positive histopa.hologica. finding. The semen a.a.ysis a.d testicula. biopsy provide va.ua.le informa.ion a.out the etiology a.d the fertility potentia. of a. individua..

Methods: The present study wa. ca.ried out from Ma. 2017 to June 2018 a.d the number of the pa.ients group wa. 60. The pa.ients a.ed between 20 to 50 yea.s. Semen wa. collected from infertile men of a.couple tha. fema.e fa.led to become pregna.t a.ter one yea. of regula. a.d unprotected intercourse of ma.ria.e a.d submitted for semina. fluid a.a.ysis for the ba.teriologica. a.a.yses. The control group consisted of 50 fertile ma.e who were selected ra.domly from Tikrit City during the period of this study. Semen culture wa. done for a.l the pa.ients a.d the control group. Results: There were 30 pa.ients who suffered from ba.teriospermia.a.d 16 of them (53.3%) were infected with gra. positive orga.isms, while only 14 (46.7%) pa.ients were infected with gra. nega.ive orga.isms. The most common orga.ism wa. Sta.hylococcus a.reus which wa. isola.ed from ba.teriospermia. Escherichia.coli, Enterococcus fa.ca.is, Klebsiella.pneumonia., S. sa.rophyticus, Proteus mira.ilis a.d Niesseria.gonorrhoa. were a.so isola.ed a.d the frequencies of isola.ion were 23.3% (7), 13.3% (4), 10.0% (3), 10.0% (3), 6.6% (2), a.d 6.6% (2) respectively. The present study showed ma.y a.tibiotics were not a.tive a.a.nst gra. positive ba.teria.isola.ed e.g. the resista.ce frequenciy to rifa.pcin, va.comycin a.d clinda.ycin wa. 48%, 44% a.d 40% respectively. Conclusions: The gra. positive orga.isms were more preva.ent tha. gra. nega.ive orga.isms in pa.ients with ba.teriospermia.a.d the isola.ionfrequencies of two groups were 16 (53.3%) a.d 14 (46.7%) respectively. The most effective a.timicrobia. a.ents were a.ika.in, ciprofloxa.in a.d levofloxa.in a.d the lea.t effective one wa. cefta.idime, wherea. moxifloxa.in, norfloxa.in, genta.icin, a.ithromycin, moxif
