Antidiarrheal and protein conservative activities of Psidium guajava in diarrheal rats

Objective: Psidium guajava occurs worldwide in tropical and subtropical areas. It has been used to treat inflammation, diabetes, fever, hypertension and ulcers. However, its antidiarrheal and protein conservative activities still need to be ***: Fifty-four male rats were divided into normal and diarrheal rats. The normal rats were divided into 4 groups: control, low-dose P. guajava leaf extract(50 mg/kg), high-dose P. guajava leaf extract(100 mg/kg) and gallic acid. Treatments were administrated orally in 1 mL saline for a 1-month *** diarrheal rats were divided into 5 groups: desmopressin(0.2 mg/kg) drug, low-dose P. guajava leaf extract(50 mg/kg), high-dose P. guajava leaf extract(100 mg/kg), gallic acid and an untreated *** were given daily for a 1-month period while the untreated control received no ***: Diarrhea was responsible for an observed decline in kidney weight and serum sodium, potassium and chloride. Further, diarrhea was positively correlated with a significant increase in urine volume, and excretion of electrolytes, serum urea, creatinine and uric acid in the urine. In contrast, there was a proportional increase in the lipid peroxidation value in diarrhea and a significant decline was observed in serum superoxide dismutase, glutathione peroxidase and glutathione levels in diarrhea. Also, diarrhea inhibited blood proteins. The oral intake of P. guajava leaf extract by diarrheal rats restored all of these parameters to near normal levels. High-dose P. guajava leaf extract was more effective than the same compound at a low ***: P. guajava leaf extract elicited antidiarrheal and protein conservative effects.

The exposed calcareous rocky area of the Abu Qir Headland,east of Alexandria,Egypt which range from coarse grains,through pebbles,cobbles,and boulders to rocky platforms,was signifi cantly colonized by sclerobionts(epibionts and endobionts).The epibiont species diversity was comparatively higher than that of *** communities included bryozoans(the anascan-grade cheilostome Bifl ustra savartii),serpulid(Hydroides elegans,Spirobranchus ***,Vermiliopsis striaticeps and Protula or Apomatus)and spirorbid(Spirorbis)wormtubes,and balanoid barnacles(Amphibalanus amphitrite,Balanus trigonus,and Perforatus perforatus).The cheilostome bryozoan colonies,which developed extensive sheets,proliferated on the study rocky shore either encrusting the bioeroded basement directly,or encrusting other epilithic taxa,particularly balanoid barnacles and serpulid *** displayed a remarkable marginal competitive interaction(overgrowth and stand-off)for space on the study rocky *** the other hand,endobionts were not well represented on the studied rocky shore *** was possible to identify three ichnotaxa:Gastrochaenolites,Maeandropolydora,and *** fi ndings documented represent a signifi cant contribution to our knowledge of sclerobionts composition,sequence of their colonization and/or bioerosion,and their mutual relationships on the intertidal rocky shore of the Abu Qir Headland.

Ciliates in the class Prostomatea play an important role in the global microbial loop due to their signifcant abundances and broad feeding strategies at the foundation of food *** their importance in ecosystems,the taxonomy and systematics of this group of ciliates has long been poorly understood,with this being especially true for members of the family *** we examine four lagynusids collected from sandy beaches in China,using silver-staining and 18S rRnA gene sequencing *** investigations revealed two new genera and two new species and provided details for two little known forms:Penardella marina ***.,***.,Apolagynus cucumis(as reported by Penard.Études sur les infusoires d’eau *** and Cie,Genève,1922)***.,***.,Lagynus minutus ***.,and Lagynus elegans(Engelmann in Z Wiss Zool 11:347-393,1862)Quennerstedt(Acta Univ Lund 4:1-48,1867).Penardella *** be morphologically distinguished by having more than three dikinetidal perioral *** *** from the closely related genus Lagynus in the absence of a conspicuous neck-like *** ciliature of Apolagynus cucumis is revealed here for the frst time,which demonstrates the classifcation of this species within ***,Apolagynus binucleatus(Jiang et al.,2021)*** established according to the new *** results of our phylogenetic analyses based on the 18S rRnA gene support the establishment of two new genera and indicate that Lagynusidae is monophyletic,which further strengthens its valid taxonomic status.

COVID-19 is a pandemic that has affected nearly every country in the *** present,sustainable development in the area of public health is considered vital to securing a promising and prosperous future for ***,widespread diseases,such as COVID-19,create numerous challenges to this goal,and some of those challenges are not yet *** this study,a Shallow Single-Layer Perceptron neural network(SSLPnn)and Gaussian Process Regression(GPR)model were used for the classification and prediction of confirmed COVID-19 cases in five geographically distributed regions of Asia with diverse settings and environmental conditions:namely,China,South Korea,Japan,Saudi Arabia,and *** environmental and non-environmental features were taken as the input dataset,and confirmed COVID-19 cases were taken as the output dataset.A correlation analysis was done to identify patterns in the cases related to fluctuations in the associated *** results of this study established that the population and air quality index of a region had a statistically significant influence on the ***,age and the human development index had a negative influence on the *** proposed SSLPnn-based classification model performed well when predicting the classes of confirmed *** training,the binary classification model was highly accurate,with a Root Mean Square Error(RMSE)of ***,the results of the regression analysis using the GPR technique with Matern 5/2 were highly accurate(RMSE=0.95239)when predicting the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in an ***,dynamic management has occupied a core place in studies on the sustainable development of public health but dynamic management depends on proactive strategies based on statistically verified approaches,like Artificial Intelligence(AI).In this study,an SSLPnn model has been trained to fit public health associated data into an appropriate class,allowing GPR to predict the number of confir

In this paper,a combined approach CAZWnLP(a combined approach of zero-watermarking and natural language processing)has been developed for the tampering detection of English text exchanged through the *** third gram of alphanumeric of the Markov model has been used with text-watermarking technologies to improve the performance and accuracy of tampering detection issues which are limited by the existing works reviewed in the literature of this *** third-grade level of the Markov model has been used in this method as natural language processing technology to analyze an English text and extract the textual characteristics of the given ***,the extracted features have been utilized as watermark information and then validated with the attacked English text to detect any suspected tampering occurred on *** embedding mechanism of CAZWnLP method will be achieved logically without effects or modifying the original text document to embed a watermark *** has been implemented using VS code IDE with *** experimental and simulation results using standard datasets of varying lengths show that the proposed approach can obtain high robustness and better detection accuracy of tampering common random insertion,reorder,and deletion attacks,e.g.,Comparison results with baseline approaches also show the advantages of the proposed approach.

Microwave-assisted synthesis of new 2-arylpyrimido[4′,5′：4,5]thiazolo[3,2-α]benzimidazol-4（3H）-ones from 3-aminothia- zolo[3,2-α]benzimidazol-2-earboxamide and aroyl halides in solvent-free condition is described. In comparison with classical conditions the reactions are faster and the yields are higher under microwave irradiation.

Terbium-picrate triethylene glycol（EO3-Tb-Pic） complex was prepared in thin film and single layer device structure of ITO/EO3-Tb-Pic/Al, using spin coating technique. The UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy analysis was performed to evaluate the electronic molecular transition of the complex. The optical band gap, Eg estimated from the Tauc model revealed that EO3-Tb-Pic thin film exhibited a direct transition with Eg of 2.70 eV. The electronic parameters of the ITO/EO3-Tb-Pic/Al device such as the ideality factor n, barrier height Φb, saturation current Io, and series resistance Rs, were extracted from the conventional lnI-V, Cheung＇s functions and norde＇s method. It was found that the evaluated parameters calculated from norde＇s and Cheung＇s methods were consistent with those calculated from the conventional I-V method. In the double logarithmic I-V plot, three distinct regions based on the slope were identified, and the conduction mechanisms were discussed and explained. The mobility, μ value was estimated from SCLC region as 2.58×10^–7 cm2/（V·s）. This newly obtained lanthanide complex may be potentially utilized in electronic devices.
