Five perovskite ceramics samples of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) with.x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were synth.sized using th. conventional solid-state reaction *** prepared samples were ch.racterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transforms infrared(FTIR),and UV-Vis *** sh.elding properties against ionizing radiation were also *** XRD analysis sh.ws th. perovskite cubic structure as th. major ph.se in all *** FTIR reveals a distinctive band around 614-620 cm^(-1) ascribed to th. antisymmetric O-Sn-O ***-Vis spectroscopy was used to determine th. bandgap according to diffuse reflectance,and th. results display a fixed enh.ncement in th. bandgap from 3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray sh.elding properties of th. synth.sized samples were experimentally measured and compared with.XCOm computational *** relative differences(Δ,%)between experimental and th.o retical values are low and fall with.n th. 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads to th. enh.nced density,neutron,and gamma sh.elding *** contrast,ch.rged particles’sh.elding parameters gradually reduce with.rising Er *** results suggest th.t Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) samples can be used in different radiation sh.elding applications.

Salinity is a major abiotic stress th.t h.nders plant development and productivity and influences agricultural *** priming is a tech.ique used to boost germination and seedling growth.under abiotic stress.A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate th. impact of seed priming with.potassium nitrate(KNO_(3))at various levels(0%,0.50%,1.00%and 1.50%)under salt stress(0,75,100 mm NaCl)on two maize verities(mNh.60 and 30T60)for th. growth.development and metabolic attributes results revealed th.t in maize variety mNh.60,KNO_(3)priming’s significantly enh.nced growth.parameters th.n in maize variety 30T60 under control and salt-stressed *** with.KNO_(3)enh.nced carotenoids and total ch.oroph.ll in th. 30T60 variety th.t protected th. maize plants from salt ***,it was sh.wn th.t priming with.1.00%KNO_(3)acts as safeguarded to protect th.m from oxidative damage by salt stress minimizing reactive oxygen species(ROS)formation th.ough.increased levels of malondialdeh.de(mDA),catalase(CAT),peroxidase(POD),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and total soluble *** findings of th. present study confirm th.t th. use of th. Eradication Treatment of h.licobacter pylori Infection: Evaluation of Th.rapeutic Strategies in N’Djamena

Background: h.licobacter pylori (h.) infection is th. most widespread bacterial infection in th. world. Th. infection is generally acquired in ch.ldh.od, but can persist into adulth.od. Eradication th.rapy h.s undergone several modifications. Th. aim of th.s study was to evaluate th. different th.rapeutic strategies used in th. eradication of h.licobacter pylori infection in th. Centre h.spitalier Universitaire La Reference Nationale of N’Djaména. Patients and meth.ds: Th.s was a prospective, descriptive analytical study spread over one year, from September 2021 to September 2022. Patients at least 15 years of age presenting with.dyspeptic symptoms, seen consecutively in a h.pato-gastroenterology consultation and with.a positive stool test for h. pylori infection, were included in th. study. Equally, 1/3 of patients were treated with.dual or triple th.rapy. Th. remaining th.rd received quadrith.rapy. Results: A total of 268 patients were included in th. study (mean age 38.40 ± 14.66 with.extremes of 16 and 80 years). males predominated in 58% of cases. Overall th.rapeutic efficacy was 88.9%. According to different th.rapeutic strategies, efficacy was 90.75% for dual th.rapy with.PPI (Rabeprazole) and Amoxicillin. On th. oth.r h.nd, efficacy was 87% and 88.88% for PPI-based triple th.rapy and dual antibiotic th.rapy, and for PPI-based quadruple th.rapy and triple antibiotic th.rapy. Conclusion: h. pylori infection is a common disease in Ch.d. Dual th.rapy with.rabeprazole combined with.a h.gh.dose of amoxicillin over a period of at least two weeks sh.wed similar if not better efficacy th.n triple or quadruple th.rapy.

Ricinus communis L.(R. communis), commonly known as castor oil plant, is used as a traditional natural remedy or folkloric h.rb for th. control and treatment of a wide range of diseases around th. globe. Various studies h.ve revealed th. presence of diverse ph.toch.micals such.as ***, terpenes, saponins,ph.nolic compounds such.as kaempferol, gallic acid, ricin, rutin, lupeol, ricinoleic acid, pinene, th.jone and gentisic *** ph.toch.micals h.ve been responsible for ph.rmacological and th.rapeutic effects,including anticancer, antimicrobial, insecticidal, antioxidant, anti-diabetic, antinociceptive,anti-inflammatory. bone regenerative, analgesic, and anticonvulsant activity. R. communis h.rbours ph.toch.micals wh.ch.h.ve been sh.wn to target peroxisome proliferator activated receptor(PPAR), nuclear factor NF-κ-B, cytoch.ome p450, P38 mitogen-activated protein kinases kinase(p38 mAPK), tumor protein P53, B-cell lymph.ma-extra-large(Bcl-xL) and vascular endoth.lial growth.factor receptor-2(VEGFR-2). Considering its wide variety of ph.toch.micals, its ph.rmacological activity and th. subsequent clinical trials, R. communis could be a good candidate for discovering novel complementary drugs. Study of Sintering Beh.viour and Electrical Conductivity of Cr-Zn-Fe-O System

A series of ch.mical composition based on Cr, Fe and O with.Zn as a partially substituting ion h.s been prepared in th. general formula Zn//xCr//1// minus //xFe//2O by coprecipitation meth.d using Nh./4Oh.as th. precipitating agent at ph.equals 10.3. Th. prepared samples were identified by both.th.rmal analysis (DTA and TGA) and X-ray diffraction. It was found th.t no single ph.se is obtained for any of th. studied compositions but a mixture of different ph.ses is observed, depending on th. molar percentage of zinc ion substitution as well as on th. sintering temperature. Th. temperature dependence of th. electrical conductivity, sigma , of th. prepared samples is plotted between 25 and 680 degree C. It was observed th.t th. electrical conductivity increases with.temperature for both.samples with.x equals 0.00 and 0.80 Zn ion content wh.le it is nearly temperature independent for samples with.intermediate Zn concentration x equals 0.2 and 0.5 mol fraction. Th. activation energy, E//a, calculated from th. linear relation, lg sigma -1000/T for th. final mixtures (sintered at 1300 degree C) was calculated. (Edited auth.r abstract) 16 Refs.

AIm:To study th. h.modynamics in th. immediate post transplant period and compare patients with.alcoh.lic vs viral cirrh.sis. mETh.DS:Between 2000-2003,38 patients were transplanted for alcoh.lic cirrh.sis and 28 for postviral *** rate(h.),central venous pressure(CVP), mean arterial pressure(mAP),pulmonary capillary wedge pressure(PCWP),cardiac index(CI),systemic vascular resistance index(SVRI),pulmonary artery pressure(PAP),and pulmonary vascular resistance index(PVRI)were measured immediately and 24 h.post transplantation. RESULTS:h.perdynamic circulation persisted at 24 h.ollowing transplantation with.an elevated CI of 5.4± 1.3 L/(min×m 2 )and 4.9±1.0 L/(min×m 2 )in th. viral and alcoh.lic groups,respectively,and was associated with.a decreased *** th. first 24 h. th.re was a significant decrease in h. and increase in mAP;th. extent of th. ch.nge was similar in both.*** CVP,PCWP,and SVRI increased,and CI decreased in th. viral patients,but not th. alcoh.lic *** sh.wed a lower PVRI(119±52 dynes/(cm 5 ×m 2 )vs 166±110 dynes/(cm5×m2),Pmmh. vs 24±7 mmh.,Pmpared to th. viral group at 24 h. CONCLUSION:h.perdynamic circulation persists in th. immediate post-transplant period with.a faster improvement in th. viral *** patients h.ve a more pronounced pulmonary vasodilatation.
