Soil contamination with toxic heavy metals[such as cadmium(Cd)]is becoming a serious global problem due to rapid development of social ***(Fe),being an important element,has been found effective in enhancing plant tolerance against biotic and abiotic *** present study investigated the extent to which different levels of Ferrous sulphate(FeSO_(4))modulated the Cd tolerance of rice(Oryza sativa L.),when maintained in artificially Cd spiked regimes.A pot experiment was conducted under controlled conditions for 146 days,by using natural soil,mixed with different levels of CdCl_(2)[0(no Cd),0.5 and 1 mg/kg]together with the exogenous application of FeSO_(4) at[0(no Fe),1.5 and 3 mg/kg]levels to monitor different growth,gaseous exchange characteristics,oxidative stress,antioxidative responses,minerals accumulation,organic acid exudation patterns of *** results depicted that addition of Cd to the soil significantly(P<0.05)decreased plant growth and biomass,gaseous exchange parameters,mineral uptake by the plants,sugars(soluble,reducing,and non-reducing sugar)and altered the ultrastructure of chloroplasts,plastoglobuli,mitochondria,and many other cellular organelles in Cd-stressed *** compared to those plants which were grown without the addition of Cd in the ***,Cd toxicity boosted the production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)by increasing the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),which is the indication of oxidative stress in *** and was also manifested by hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))contents and electrolyte leakage to the membrane bounded ***,activities of various antioxidative enzymes like superoxidase dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT)and ascorbate peroxidase(APX)and non-enzymatic antioxidants like phenolics,flavonoid,ascorbic acid,anthocyanin and proline contents increased up to a Cd level of 0.5 mg/kg in the soil but were significantly diminished at the highest Cd level of 1 mg/kg in the soil compar

BACKGROUND We previously reported national 30-d readmission rates of 27% in patients with decompensated cirrhosis(DC).AIM To study prospective interventions to reduce early readmissions in DC at our tertiary *** Adults with DC admitted July 2019 to December 2020 were enrolled and randomized into the intervention(INT) or standard of care(SOC) arms. Weekly phone calls for a month were completed. In the INT arm, case managers ensured outpatient follow-up, paracentesis, and medication compliance. Thirty-day readmission rates and reasons were *** Calculated sample size was not achieved due to coronavirus disease 2019;240 patients were randomized into INT and SOC arms. 30-d readmission rate was 33.75%, 35.83% in the INT vs 31.67% in the SOC arm(P = 0.59). The top reason for 30-d readmission was hepatic encephalopathy(HE, 32.10%). There was a lower rate of 30-d readmissions for HE in the INT(21%) vs SOC arm(45%, P = 0.03). There were fewer 30-d readmissions in patients who attended early outpatient follow-up(n = 17, 23.61% vs n = 55, 76.39%, P = 0.04).CONCLUSION Our 30-d readmission rate was higher than the national rate but reduced by interventions in patients with DC with HE and early outpatient follow-up. Development of interventions to reduce early readmission in patients with DC is needed.

Refractive index (RI) sensing helps to identify biomolecules and chemicals in the mid-infrared range for drug discovery, bioengineering, and environmental monitoring. In this paper, we numerically demonstrate an electrically tunable RI sensor with ultrahigh sensitivity using a three-layer graphene nanoribbon array separated by hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). Unlike the weak resonance in single-layer graphene nanoribbons, a much stronger plasmon resonance featuring a higher-quality factor can be excited in the graphene/hBN few-layer ribbon array. Simultaneously, the high purity of graphene on hBN results in an outstanding charge mobility above 4 ×10^4 cm^2 · V^-1·s^-1 at 300 K, which allows a larger modulation depth. The interaction between the locally enhanced field around graphene ribbons and its surrounding analyte leads to ultrahigh sensitivity (4.207μm/RIU), with the figure of merit reaching approximately ***, this ultrasensitive detector could selectively work in different wavebands by controlling gate voltages applied to *** merits of ultrahigh sensitivity and electrical tunability are major advances compared to previous RI sensors, paving a way toward ultrasensitive detection using graphene/hBN few-layer devices.

众所周知,近几十年来,机器人和自动化技术都取得了快速的发展,这些都为人们的生产和日常生活极大地提高了效率和便利,例如工业加工机床可以快速实现对工业零部件的切割、雕刻及打磨等;机器人已经进入日常生活中,如扫地机器人和送餐机器人等。然而,这些技术都离不开其中核心的动力部件,其通过转换风能、电力、化学能等转换成可以使得机器人和自动化装备可以进行直线运动或旋转运动的机械能。据估计,目前市场上大约70%动力部件都是由直线电机和旋转电机提供动力,因此,对电机高效和准确地控制显得尤为重要。直线电机或旋转电机一般可以根据其使用的电源类型进行分类,可以分为两种不同的类型,直流(DC)电机和交流(AC)电机。其中,交流电机可以分为同步电机和异步电机,而异步电机也称为感应电动机,可以进一步细分为绕线转子类型和鼠笼形转子;而同步电机可以细分为永磁类型,绕线磁极式以及磁阻类型等。其中“同步”来源于其特性,即力矩与转子速度的同步。与交流电机中感应电机不同,同步电机的定子和转子绕组具有独立的励磁能力,定子绕组的交流励磁和转子绕组的直流励磁。定子绕组(通常称为电枢绕组)的功能是通过将其连接到三相交流电源(例如感应电机或者电网)来产生旋转磁场。而转子绕组称为励磁绕组,它通过直流励磁或永磁体产生磁场通量。其中大型功率的同步电机可以用来作为发电机或者用来改善电网中的功率因素(Power Factor),而小型的同步电机可以用来为机械设备提供动力。同步电机还可以根据永磁的安装位置进一步进行细分,如表贴方式和内嵌入方式。而另外一种广为应用的无刷直流电机,很难被归入这两种电机中的任何一种,因为它的结构与永磁同步电机(交流电机)相似,而其电气特性与直流电机相似。在同步电机中,如果转子的磁场通量是永久磁场激励的,即带有永磁转子的同步电机,就称为永磁同步电机(PMSM)。而永磁同步电机在变速驱动中的应用领域迅速增长,特别是机器人与汽车行业领域,以替换直流电机,这是因为永磁同步电机(PMSM)与直流电机相比,具有如结构简单、高效率、高功率密度、快速动态响应和高功率因素等优点。在永磁同步电机的变速应用中,需要切换低速,中速和高速,并在不同的速度范围进行操作,这些使得在操作过程中速度的改变是不可避免的。为了提高永磁同步电机在速度切换中的控制精度,需要获取与转子的速度和位置有关的信息。传统获取转子信息的方法是利用传感器技术,如高精度但高成本的光电编码器、低精度低成本的霍尔传感器等。然而,这些获得PMSM速度和位置的基于传感器的方法有许多缺点,除了增加额外的成本以外,还增加了额外的结构,布线和保护性安装。同时,当永磁同步电机工作在特殊环境时候,例如潮湿或特殊气体环境下时,这些传感器也容易受到环境噪声的影响并且容易损坏和腐蚀。因此,使用无传感器技术来估计永磁同步电机转子位置和速度信息显得至关重要,是提升永磁同步电机鲁棒性的重要基础。在历史文献中,关于永磁同步电机无传感器控制技术(Sensorless Control)较多,大部分的方法都是通过估计观测器或者估计器去估计其位置和速度信息后,再利用传统的控制方法,例如PID等进行反馈控制。由于永磁同步电机的理论模型发展比较成熟,基于模型的观测器的方法被广泛采用。基于观测器的方法种类比较多,例如基于线性和非线性龙伯格(Luenberger)的方法,还可以分为对干扰的观测、对未知输入的观测以及对系统状态进行观测等,其中干扰观测器主要用来对永磁电机的外部干扰进行观测,例如负载的变动等,其目标是用于对干扰进行估计和补偿,从而获得高精度和高鲁棒性的控制;而状态观测器主要用于对系统的状态进行估计,以便进行反馈控制,例如广泛应用的滑模观测器的方法等。此外还有扩张型状态观测器,既可以对系统状态进行观测,也可以对干扰进行观测;另外一些方法结合两种类型的观测器,如干扰观测器和状态观测器进行级联运算,同时估计系统无法测量的状态和外部干扰等。需要注意的是,这些观测器的方法的精度,大都依赖永磁同步电机的非线性模型的精度,然而模型不确定性以及参数的变化等,使得永磁同步电机的控制的鲁棒性还必须依赖控制器的设计,同时结合上述观测器,以消除干扰和这些模型不确定性。本文主要研究永磁同步电机的无传感控制技术中的状态观测器。其基本原理是,在永磁同步电机的非线性模型基础上,通过设计的鲁棒观测器,利用反电动势(EMF)及电流电压等可以测量的信号,对永磁同步电机的转子的位置和速度进行估计,其估计的信号输入到控制器中,从而获得永磁同步电机速度的控制。当前高精度速度控制要较高,例如一些高精度转动平台,即使当电机安装在处于运动和颠簸的汽车上时,要求1000转/分钟的速度跟随误差不超过0.5转。要取得如此高的速度控制精度,需要有高精度的观测器对系统的状态和干扰进行估计。在观测器的设计方法中,由于

Escalation in population over time triggered the abrupt exploitation of natural resources for human survival trough industrialization that ultimately caused splendid increase in the waste generation. This industrial development resulted in the migration of rural community toward urban areas. Management of urban waste is a great challenge for the urban administration. However, technologies have been developed to manage the waste in environmental friendly and sustainable manner. Sanitary landfill sites are one of the latest methods of disposing the municipal solid waste in an environment friendly and sustainable manner. Government and administrative authorities are adopting this technology for the management of urban solid waste. Present study is about identifying landfill sites for the Sahiwal city with an area of 1160 square kilometer and projected population of 1.57 million persons in 2016. Geographical Information System (GIS) is used for the identification of appropriate landfill site (LFS) that can fulfill the need of city in future and is selected based on the sustainable and eco-friendly criteria. The criteria are developed keeping in view the proximity from several land-use features i.e. water bodies, roads, settlements, agricultural land, bare land and existing disposal sites. The weights of the criteria are quantified using pair-wise comparison method in Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). The weights are incorporated in GIS spatial data environment and are assigned to proximity threshold of each criterion. Ultimately a map for each criterion is developed highlighting suitable, least suitable, less suitable and un-suitable areas with respect to each specific criterion. These maps are spatially overlaid which result in a final map that identifies most suitable landfill sites for solid waste disposal. Optoelectronic applications based on the perovskites always face challenges due to the inherent chemical composition volatility of perovskite precursors. The efficiency of perovskite-based light-emitting diodes(Pe-LEDs) can be enhanced by improving the perovskite film via solvent engineering. A dual solvent post-treatment strategy was applied to the perovskite film, which provides a synchronous effect of passivating surface imperfections and reduces exciton quenching, as evidenced by improved surface morphology and photoluminance. Thus, the optimized Pe-LEDs reach 17,866 cd · m-2 maximum brightness, 45.8 cd · A-1 current efficiency, 8.3% external quantum efficiency, and relatively low turn-on voltage of2.0 V. Herein, we present a simple technique for the fabrication of stable and efficient Pe-LEDs.

Background:Plant height(PH)and fruit branch number(FBN)are important traits for improving yield and mechanical harvesting of *** order to identify genes of PH and FBN in cotton germplasms to develop superior cultivars,quantitative trait loci(QTLs)for these traits were detected based on the phenotypic evaluation data in nine environments across four locations and 4 years and a previously reported genetic linkage map of an recombinant inbred line(RIL)population of upland ***:In total,53 QTLs of PH and FBN,were identified on 21 chromosomes of the cotton genome except chromosomes c02,c09-c11,and *** PH,27 QTLs explaining 3.81%–8.54%proportions of phenotypic variance were identified on 18 chromosomes except c02,c08-c12,c15,and *** FBN,26 QTLs explaining 3.23%–11.00%proportions of phenotypic variance were identified on 16 chromosomes except c02-c03,c06,c09-c11,c17,c22-c23,and *** QTLs were simultaneously identified in at least two *** QTL clusters containing seven QTLs were identified on three chromosomes(c01,c18 and c21).Eleven QTLs were the same as previously reported ones,while the rest were newly ***:The QTLs and QTL clusters identified in the current study will be helpful to further understand the genetic mechanism of PH and FBN development of cotton and will enhance the development of excellent cultivars for mechanical managements in cotton production.

From the beginning,the process of research and its publication is an ever-growing phenomenon and with the emergence of web technologies,its growth rate is *** a rough estimate,more than thirty thousand research journals have been issuing around four million papers annually on *** engines,indexing services,and digital libraries have been searching for such publications over the ***,getting the most relevant articles against the user requests is yet a *** is mainly because the articles are not appropriately indexed based on the hierarchies of granular subject *** overcome this issue,researchers are striving to investigate new techniques for the classification of the research articles especially,when the complete article text is not available(a case of nonopen access articles).The proposed study aims to investigate the multilabel classification over the available metadata in the best possible way and to assess,“to what extent metadata-based features can perform in contrast to content-based approaches.”In this regard,novel techniques for investigating multilabel classification have been proposed,developed,and evaluated on metadata such as the Title and Keywords of the *** proposed technique has been assessed for two diverse datasets,namely,from the Journal of universal computer science(***)and the benchmark dataset comprises of the articles published by the Association for computing machinery(ACM).The proposed technique yields encouraging results in contrast to the state-ofthe-art techniques in the literature.
