Improved photocatalytic performance of acetaldehyde degradation via crystal plane regulation on truncated octahedral CeO2

In this study,the truncated octahedral Ce O2(Ce O2-to) with special morphology was prepared by the solvothermal method with oleic acid (OA) and oleamine(OM) as the morphology-directing agents.High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) results show that Ce O2-to exposes composite{100}and{111}facets,while Ce O2cubic (Ce O2-c) and Ce O2octahedral (Ce O2-o)only expose single crystal facets of{100}plane and{111}plane,respectively.Interestingly,this Ce O2-to photocatalyst exhibits remarkable photooxidation performance of gaseous acetaldehyde (CH3CHO) degradation,in which CO2generation value reaches 1.78 and 7.97-times greater than that of Ce O2-c and Ce O2-o,respectively.In addition,the active species trapping experiment signifies that superoxide (·O2-) and holes (h+) are the main reactive substances during the CH3CHO degradation process,and the electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectra indicates that the former is the major contributor.Notably,the electron transfer mechanism between Ce O2-to{100}and{111}facets and the surface oxygen adsorption ability are revealed via density functional theory (DFT) calculations.It is also confirmed that{100}facets are more conducive to the absorption of acetaldehyde than{111}facets.Finally,a reasonable mechanism for improved photocatalytic CH3CHO degradation on Ce O2-to is proposed based on relevant experiments and DFT calculations.This study demonstrates that the systematic development of surface homojunction structured photocatalysts can efficiently increase the degradation activity for volatile organic compounds (VOCs).It also offers additional direction for optimizing the photocatalytic activity of other ceriumbased photocatalysts.

Analysis of Bright Source Hardness Ratios in the 4 yr Insight-HXMT Galactic Plane Scanning Survey Catalog

We conduct a statistical analysis of the hardness ratio(HR)for bright sources in the 4 yr Galactic Plane Scanning Survey catalog of Insight-HXMT.Depending on the stable(variable)flux F_(s)(F_(v))or spectrum S_(s)(S_(v))of each source,the bright sources are classified into three groups:F_(v)&S_(v),F_(v)&S_(s),and F_(s)&_(s).Our study of the HR characteristics in different types of sources reveals that accretion-powered neutron star(NS)low-mass X-ray binaries(LMXBs)exhibit softer energy spectra than NS high-mass X-ray binaries(HMXBs),but harder energy spectra than black hole binaries in most cases.This difference is probably due to their different magnetic field strengths.Additionally,Fv&Sv LMXBs tend to be harder than Fv&Ss LMXBs below 7 keV,while the opposite is true for HMXBs.Our results suggest that LMXBs may dominate unclassified sources,and NS binaries are likely to be the primary type of X-ray binaries with ambiguous compact stars.By comparing the HR of transient sources in their outburst and low-flux states,it is found that the averaged HR of four sources in the two states are roughly comparable within uncertainties.We also investigate the spatial properties of the three groups and find that Fv&Sv sources are mainly located in the longitude of-20°nantly concentrated in 19°

So far,there have been 4 methods to control chirality including the use of chiral auxiliaries,reagents,solvents,and catalysts documented in literature and textbooks.Among them,asymmetric catalysts are normally divided into homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis.In this report,we present a new type of asymmetric control—asymmetric catalysis via chiral aggregates that would not belong to the above categories.This new strategy is represented by catalytic asymmetric dihydroxylation reaction of olefins in which chiral ligands are aggregated by taking advantage of typical aggregation-induced emission systems containing tetrahydrofuran and H_(2)O cosolvents.It was proven that the chiral induction can be enhanced from er of 78:22 to 97:3 simply by changing the ratios of these 2 cosolvents.

Background Respiratory syncytial virus(RSV)is the leading global cause of respiratory infections and is responsible for about 3 million hospitalizations and more than 100,000 deaths annually in children younger than 5 years,representing a major global healthcare burden.There is a great unmet need for new agents and universal strategies to prevent RSV infections in early life.A multidisciplinary consensus development group comprising experts in epidemiology,infectious diseases,respiratory medicine,and methodology aims to develop the current consensus to address clinical issues of RSV infections in children.Data sources The evidence searches and reviews were conducted using electronic databases,including PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,and the Cochrane Library,using variations in terms for"respiratory syncytial virus","RSV","lower respiratory tract infection","bronchiolitis","acute","viral pneumonia","neonatal","infant""children",and"pediatric".Results Evidence-based recommendations regarding diagnosis,treatment,and prevention were proposed with a high degree of consensus.Although supportive care remains the cornerstone for the management of RSV infections,new monoclonal antibodies,vaccines,drug therapies,and viral surveillance techniques are being rolled out.Conclusions This consensus,based on international and national scientific evidence,reinforces the current recommendations and integrates the recent advances for optimal care and prevention of RSV infections.Further improvements in the management of RSV infections will require generating the highest quality of evidence through rigorously designed studies that possess little bias and sufficient capacity to identify clinically meaningful end points.

Microstructure evolution of eutectic Nb–24Ti–15Si–4Cr–2Al–2Hf alloy processed by directional solidification

In this work, the near-eutectic Nb-24Ti-15Si-4Cr-2Al-2Hf（at%） alloy was directionally solidified at 1900 ℃ with withdrawal rates of 6, 18, 36, 50 mm·min^-1 and then heat-treated at 1450 ℃ for 12 h. The microstructure evolution was investigated. The results show that the microstructure of the directionally solidified（DS） alloy is composed of Nbss＋Nb5Si3 eutectics within the whole withdrawal rate range, while the variation of rates makes a great difference on the solidification routes,the morphology and size of Nb_（ss）＋Nb_5Si_3 eutectic cells.With the increase in withdrawal rates, the petaloid Nbss＋Nb5Si3 eutectic cells transform into granular morphology. After the heat treatment, a mesh structure Nbssis formed gradually which isolates the Nb5Si3, and the phase boundaries become smoother in order to reduce the interfacial energy. Moreover, two kinds of Nb5Si3 exist in the heat-treated（HT） samples identified by crystal form and element composition, which are supposed as α-Nb5Si3 and γ-Nb5Si3, respectively. This study exhibits significant merits in guiding the optimization of Nb-Si-based alloys＇ mechanical properties.

Classical and quantum space-to-ground communications necessitate highly sensitive receivers capable of extracting information from modulated photons to extend the communication distance from near-earth orbits to deep space explorations.To achieve gigabit data rates while mitigating strong background noise photons and beam drift in a highly attenuated free-space channel,a comprehensive design of a multi-functional detector is indispensable.In this study,we present an innovative compact multi-pixel superconducting nanowire single-photon detector array that integrates near-unity detection efficiency(91.6%),high photon counting rate(1.61 Gcps),large dynamic range for resolving different photon numbers(1-24),and four-quadrant position sensing function all within one device.Furthermore,we have constructed a communication testbed to validate the advantages offered by such an architecture.Through 8-PPM(pulse position modulation)format communication experiments,we have achieved an impressive maximum data rate of 1.5 Gbps,demonstrating sensitivities surpassing previous benchmarks at respective speeds.By incorporating photon number information into error correction codes,the receiver can tolerate maximum background noise levels equivalent to 0.8 photons/slot at a data rate of 120 Mbps—showcasing a great potential for daylight operation scenarios.Additionally,preliminary beam tracking tests were conducted through open-loop scanning techniques,which revealed clear quantitative dependence indicating sensitivity variations based on beam location.Based on the device characterizations and communication results,we anticipate that this device architecture,along with its corresponding signal processing and coding techniques,will be applicable in future space-to-ground communication tasks.

The incidence rate and harmfulness of depression are increasing yearly， and the research on the antidepressant effect of regulating the intestinal microecology balance has attracted widespread attention. The purpose of this research was to study the preventive effects and the regulatory mechanism of edible Lilium-egg yolk compound powder(Chinese abbreviation， BHT) on gut-brain crosstalk in depressive rats induced by chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS) through the "microbiota-gut-brain" axis. Results showed that infusion of BHT for 21 days ameliorated the morphology of the hippocampus and colon， increased the rate of sucrose preference， reduced the immobility time of forced swimming， increased the expression level of anti-inflammatory cytokine Interleukin-10 (IL-10) in serum， up-regulate the expression level of plasma neurotransmitter 5-hydroxy tryptamine (5-HT)， down-regulate the expression of inflammatory factors tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)， interleukin-6 (IL-6)， and interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and neurotransmitter glutamic acid (Glu) in serum， and decrease the expression levels of lipopolysaccharide (LPS)， diamine oxidase (DAO) and lactate dehydrogenase (LD) in plasma. The underlying mechanism may be to reduce the activation of microglia (lower levels of CD11b， IBa1 protein and gene expression)， regulate hippocampal GR/BDNF/NPY signal pathway (higher levels of GR， BDNF， NPY protein and gene expression)， enhance intestinal mucosal barrier function (higher levels of ZO-1， Occludin protein and gene expression)， regulate the composition and structure of intestinal flora(Analysis results of LEfSe combined with random forest showed that Prevotella and Paraprevotella might be biomarkers of BHT intervention in depression)， and it is related to the improvement of glutathione metabolism， and other metabolic pathways. Study of Flow and Heat Transfer in an Ejector-Driven Swirl Anti-Icing Chamber

The formation of ice on the leading edge of aircraft engines is a serious issue,as it can have catastrophic consequences.The Swirl Anti-Icing(sai)system,driven by ejection,circulates hot fluid within a 360°annular chamber to heat the engine inlet lip surface and prevent icing.This study employs a validated Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)approach to study the impact of key geometric parameters of this system on flow and heat transfer characteristics within the anti-icing chamber.Additionally,the entropy generation rate and exergy efficiency are analyzed to assess the energy utilization in the system.The research findings indicate that,within the considered flow range,reducing the nozzle specific areaφfrom 0.03061 to 0.01083 can enhance the ejection coefficient by over 60.7%.This enhancement increases the air circulating rate,thereby intensifying convective heat transfer within the sai chamber.However,the reduction inφalso leads to a significant increase in the required bleed air pressure and a higher entropy generation rate,indicating lower exergy efficiency.The nozzle angleθnotably affects the distribution of hot and cold spots on the lip surface of the sai chamber.Increasingθfrom 0°to 20°reduces the maximum temperature difference on the anti-icing chamber surface by 60 K.

环境温度的改变会引起模态参数的变化,其变化程度会掩盖或部分掩盖损伤引起的变化量,导致结构健康监测系统发出假阳性或假阴性的误判,因此,消除温度效应是提高损伤识别精度的关键。本文基于LSTM神经网络提出了一种环境温度影响下识别结构损伤的方法。充分利用LSTM神经网络的非线性映射优势,建立多元温度-模态频率的相关模型,在此基础上采用数据标准化方法消除温度效应,并结合控制图判断模态频率异常变化以确定损伤状况。最后将所提方法在数值模型和实际桥梁中加以应用,结果表明,方法能够有效消除温度效应;结合控制图能识别损伤时刻,并具有一定的抗噪性;在实桥数据分析中仍能表现出较好的损伤敏感性。

格架弹簧是压水堆燃料组件的关键零部件,其为燃料棒提供夹持功能。刚度是格架弹簧的关键特性,其关系到燃料棒的堆内运行性能。本文基于格架弹簧的结构以及受力特点,给出了格架弹簧的受力分析模型,并推导了理论刚度计算公式,即得到了格架弹簧的理论刚度模型。另外,在商业有限元软件ABAQUS中建立了多种尺寸格架弹簧实体结构的有限元刚度模型,并计算获得了格架弹簧的变形量以及刚度曲线。通过有限元结果与理论刚度模型结果的对比,证明了理论刚度模型的合理性,并分析讨论了理论刚度模型的优缺点。本文首次提出的格架弹簧理论刚度模型可用于代替格架方案设计期间的有限元迭代过程,并能快速获得优化方案的主要设计尺寸。但本文分析方法不能替代实验,在方案固化后仍需开展实验确定格架弹簧的刚度。本文得到的格架弹簧理论模型可为燃料组件格架弹簧参数的快速优化设计提供新的思路。
