Wash resistance and bio-efficacy of Olyset~? Plus, a long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito net with synergist against malaria vector, Anopheles stephensi

Objective: To determine the wash resistance of Olyset~? Plus using World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme standard washing procedure and to assess the value of knock down and mortality rates of Anopheles stephensi at different regimens of long lasting insecticide treated nets ***: The study was conducted at the Bioassay Laboratory of Culicidae Insectary,School of Public Health, Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. The net was made of polyester impregnated with permethrin and piperonyl butoxide at a ratio of 2:1. The washing resistance was assessed using Le Chat?soap and a shaker incubator set at a speed of 155 r/min, 30℃ for 10 min. The cone bioassay test was carried out according to World Health Organization recommended guideline with tolerant field strain of female Anopheles stephensi to ***: The knockdown and mortality rates of female mosquitoes exposed to Olyset~? Plus from un-washed nets to 2 washings were 79.7% and 88.8% respectively. Mortality was dropped to zero while active ingredient estimated 0.532 mg/100 cm^2 to 0.481 mg/100 cm^2 after 15 washings. A positive correlation was seen between residues of permethrin on nets, knockdown rate and mortality rate of female Anopheles stephensi exposed to different regimes of washed Olyset~? Plus(r = 0.954, P = 0.001).Conclusions: It is recommended that a preliminary survey conducted on resistance level of Anopheles vectors before the distribution of Olyset~? Plus in malaria endemic communities.

Position dependent circuit model for thin avalanche photodiodes

This paper presents a circuit model for thin avalanche photodiodes （APDs）. In this model, the nonuniformity of the electric filed in the multiplication region is modeled using a stepwise method. The model also tries to take the effects of carrier＇s position dependent properties, like carder＇s dead length and the history of carder＇s previous ionization into account by developing an effective electric field in the multiplication region. The output photocurrent and multiplication gain obtained from the proposed model for different lengths of the multi- plication region achieve a good agreement in comparison with available experimental data. In addition, calculated excess noise factor reveals the model ability for noise and sensitivity analysis.

从开采、管理和控制不同地区的污染的角度,评估地下水脆弱性以确定这些资源的优先次序是重要的.研究的目的是基于DRASTIC-LU参数以及空间和非空间数据驱动的方法来估算Birjand平原含水层的地下水(硝酸盐质量浓度)脆弱性.研究提出新的组合方法来确定(Birjand平原含水层)地下水脆弱性分区中合适的DRASTICLU参数,即将具有指数和双平方核的地理加权回归(geographically weighted regression,GWR)和人工神经网络(artificial neural network,ANN)与二进制粒子群优化算法(binary particle swarm optimization,BPSO)相结合.计算结果为:对于ANN、指数核GWR和双平方核GWR的适应度函数(1-R^(2))的最佳值分别为0.1060、0.0745和0.0065,这表明双平方核的兼容性比其他方法更高.研究表明DRASTIC-LU参数对研究区域的硝酸盐质量浓度估计的地下水脆弱性有显著影响.

Hippo Tumor Suppressor Pathway is the main pathway for cell growth that regulates tissue enlargement and organ size by limiting cell *** pathway is activated in response to cell cycle arrest signals(cell polarity,transduction,and DNA damage)and limited by growth factors or mitogens associated with EGF and *** major pathway consists of the central kinase of Ste20 MAPK(Saccharomyces cerevisiae),Hpo(Drosophila melanogaster)or MST kinases(mammalian)that activates the mammalian AGC kinase dmWts or LATS effector(MST and LATS).YAP in the nucleus work as a cofactor for a wide range of transcription factors involved in proliferation(TEA domain family,TEAD1-4),stem cells(Oct4 mononuclear factor and SMAD-related TGFb effector),differentiation(RUNX1),and Cell cycle/apoptosis control(p53,p63,and p73 family members).This is due to the diverse roles of YAP and may limit tumor progression and *** also coordinates various signal transduction pathways such as Hippo,WNT,TGFb and EGFR,and effects on lack of regulation of TEAD cancerous genes,such as KRAS,BRAF,LKB1,NF2 and MYC,which play essential roles in tumor progression,metastasis,cancer metabolism,immunity,and drug ***,RAS signaling is a pivotal factor in the inactivation of Hippo,which controls EGFR-RAS-RAF-MEK-ERKmediated interaction of Hippo ***,the loss of the Hippo pathway may have significant consequences on the targets of RAS-RAF mutations in cancer.

Acute toxicity test of pesticide abamectin on common carp(Cyprinus carpio)

Objective:To determine acute toxicity of abamectin(abamectin used for agricultural fields and also is a common acaridae used in farms)to common carp(Cyprinus carpio).Methods:In this research,common carps were exposed to abamectin for 96 ***_(50) values of 24 h,48 h,72 h and 96 h were attained by probit analysis software SPSS Version *** were exposed to different concentrations(1,2,3,6,12 and 15 mg/L)of abamectin for 96 h and physicochemical properties of water used for these experiments were stable and every mortality was recorded ***:The 96 h LC_(50)of abamectin for Cyprinus carpio was 1.243 mg/***:Eventually toxicity values indicated that abamectin has same toxicity in studied other specie and we can state lower value of LC_(50)for studied specie in compare with most species.

Attitude toward Safety among Staffs in the Iranian Maternity Care Units of Public Hospitals with High Maternal Death Rate, 2015-2016

Background: Although extensive Mother-friendly Hospital initiatives have been improved the quality of maternity care in Iran, recent national reports have been indicated that obstetrics errors are still common. The current study aimed to assess safety attitude in the maternity care units of public hospitals in a region with high rate of maternal death in Iran. Materials and Methods: Data was collected from 314 midwives, specialist and also managers working in all public hospitals in 2016. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was used to analyze psychometric features of the Safety Attitudes Questionnaire (SAQ). Results: 86.2% of the participants (n = 314) completed the questionnaire. Results showed that lower scores in teamwork, safety climate and also job satisfaction subcomponents. The working conditions and stress recognition had the highest negative scores. There was a significant relationship between the following subcomponents and work load: teamwork (r = ﹣0.416, P-value = 0.05), stress recognition (r = 0.40, P-value = 0.05) and also working conditions (r = 0.421;P-value = 0.02). The score of midwives was significantly lower than specialists regarding job satisfaction (P-value = 0.014), working conditions (P-value = 0.02) and also the overall safety attitude score (P-value = 0.001). About 63% of respondents reported no error during the last year. The mean of error reporting during the last year significantly increased among specialists compared to midwives (P-value = 0.001). Conclusion: Maternity care units in the region with high maternal death have been faced with many intangible barriers related to safety attitude such as poor teamwork climate, working condition and also poor stress recognition. It is now needed to promote supportive environment for midwives and also strengthening staff cohesion through guiding the strategic direction of current maternity risk management system in creating open and just culture, improving leadership behaviors among senior manage

Non-isothermal nano-crystallization kinetics in amorphous Ni_(55)Nb_(35)Si_(10) alloy

The non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of Ni55Nb35Si10 amorphous alloy,prepared by mechanical alloying,was studied using differential scanning *** amorphous alloy showed one-stage crystallization on heating,which led to the formation of nano-intermetallic crystals in amorphous *** apparent activation energy for the crystallization of the alloy,determined by the Kissinger equation,was relatively high(468 kJ/mol),indicating that this amorphous alloy has high thermal *** in the activation energy during the crystallization process,were also evaluated by iso-conversional *** results showed that it decreases slowly from the beginning to crystallized fractionα=0.35 and it remains almost constant to the end of the *** nano-crystallization mechanism for the non-isothermal crystallization of the amorphous alloy was explained by determining Avrami *** electron microscopy studies revealed the microstructural modification of amorphous alloy via nanocrystallization during *** results suggest that the nucleation rate decreases with increasing time and the crystallization mechanism is governed dominantly by a three-dimensional diffusion-controlled growth.A predictive equation was obtained based on the Sestak-Berggren autocatalytic model to describe quantitatively the non-isothermal crystallization kinetics.

Millions of cataract surgeries with intraocular lens(IOL) implantation are performed worldwide. Although cataract surgery brings many benefits to the patients, the risk of various complications is still a concern. One of the infrequent adverse events but potentially affecting on patients’ visual acuity and contrast sensitivity is losing the transparency of IOL. IOL opacification may lead to IOL removal or exchange, which is unpleasant to both the patient and the surgeon. Several reports of acute IOL clouding are available in the literature describing various etiologies of this phenomenon, however, the exact mechanism remained unclear in some cases. Herein, we aimed to review the causes and outcomes of intraoperative and early postoperative IOL opacification.

Analysis of Marketing Margins, Dry Garden Products in Iran

Agricultural sector is one of the economic sectors that always had a considerable impact on the country＇s export. The garden between products and facilities due to capacity and the relative advantage in the production always plays an important role in the non-oil export. The aim of these studies of economic issues, is to analyze the major marketing dried fruit （pistachio, almond rock, walnuts, and walnut） in Fars province. In this study, information and statistics needed were collected through interviews with experts and Agriculture Organization of Fats province. For this purpose the method used in this study is commonly used in economic texts and retail margins and wholesale agents and share marketing costs with the market ratio. The results of this study indicate that factor market costs for pistachio, almonds, walnuts and Mghzgrdv are 30.340, 21.167, 16.794 and 17.061.
