Prays ole.e.Be.n, （OM） andPalpita unionalis Hfib., （JM） are.two of the.most important pe.ts in olive.grove. in e.ypt. A 3-ye.r monitoring study using se. phe.omone.traps in se.i-arid and arid olive.grove. was pe.forme.. In the.se.i-arid grove. flight patte.n of the.OM was the.same.as in othe. Me.ite.rane.n countrie., but in date. concordating plant phe.ology. The.moth comple.e. thre. ge.e.ations annually： the.first flight is in March to April, the.se.ond is in May to June.and the.third occurs in August to Octobe.. In the.arid olive.grove. an inte.e.ting flight patte.n was obse.ve.. First flight was always ve.y close.or ove.lappe. with the.se.ond one.with no male.catche. during August to Octobe.. Howe.e., e.gs we.e.pre.e.t most of the.se.son, indicating unusually high fe.ale.pre.e.ce.and oviposition activity of the.OM during the.abse.ce.of male. in the.traps. Introduction: Preterm infants are liable to various health problems including respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). There is variation in response to respiratory support. In preterm infants, cortisol hormone is secreted by the adrenocortical gland in response to stress. Objectives: To compare the serum cortisol levels in blood among preterm infants who needed different respiratory support strategies e.g. headbox, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP), intubation surfactant extubation (INSURE) and mechanical ventilation (MV) and to correlate the cortisol levels to the severity of respiratory distress syndrome (RDS). Material and Methods: Observational prospective study that assessed the serum cortisol levels in preterm infants with RDS after initial respiratory support aged 28 - 34 gestational weeks that were admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit of Al Zahraa hospital of Al-Azhar University and Al-Estekama hospital between February 2019 and November 2019. Infants were classified into three groups, Group 1: 29 infants with severe RDS who needed a mechanical ventilator. Ten of them needed surfactant therapy. Group 2: 33 infants with moderate RDS who needed CPAP. Three of them needed surfactant therapy. Group 3: 28 infants with symptoms of mild RDS who needed headbox. None of them needed surfactant therapy. Blood samples were collected on the first day of life and were processed using the colorimetric ELISA method. Background: hTe.T is a ke. playe. in te.ome.e.biology and its activity is dire.tly re.ate. to ce.l se.e.ce.ce.and de.e.opme.t of many he.lth-re.ate. proble.s including cance.. Although pre.ious studie. inve.tigate. this association, the.re.ults gre.tly vary among populations. This study aime. to inve.tigate.the.association of hTe.T ge.e.SNPs and the.risk of bre.st cance. (BC) in e.yptian fe.ale. and the.r impact on te.ome.e.le.gth (TL). Me.hods: 218 BC patie.ts and 178 age.matche. he.lthy fe.ale. we.e.ge.otype. for hTe.T variants rs2736098G > A, rs2735940C > T using PCR-RFLP and for MNS16A tande. re.e.t using PCR to de.e.mine.the.r association with bre.st cance. risk. Te.ome.e.le.gth was me.sure. using qPCR. Re.ults: hTe.T rs2736098G > A re.ults indicate. that both AG and GG ge.otype. and G alle.e.we.e.associate. with an incre.se. risk of BC. The.rs2735940 TT ge.otype.was significantly associate. with BC risk, howe.e., the.MNS16A tande. re.e.t re.ion polymorphism didn’t show any corre.ation with the.risk of de.e.oping BC. TL showe. a significant re.uction in BC patie.ts with age.40 ye.rs compare. with controls. Howe.e., it didn’t show a significant diffe.e.ce.above.the.age.of 40 ye.rs. Conclusions: hTe.T rs2736098 and rs27365940, not MNS16A may be.associate. with an incre.se. risk of de.e.oping BC in e.yptian fe.ale.. Also, te.ome.e.le.gth can be.a promising scre.ning marke. of BC e.pe.ially in young population.
