A chest radiology scan can signif.cantly aid the early diagnosis and management of.COVID-19 since the virus attacks the *** X-ray(CXR)gained much interest af.er the COVID-19 outbreak thanks to its rapid imaging time,widespread availability,low cost,and *** radiological investigations,computer-aided diagnostic tools are implemented to reduce intra-and inter-observer *** lately industrialized Artif.cial Intelligence(AI)algorithms and radiological techniques to diagnose and classif. disease is *** current study develops an automatic identif.cation and classif.cation model f.r CXR pictures using Gaussian f.l-tering based Optimized Synergic Deep Learning using Remora Optimization Algorithm(Gf.OSDL-ROA).This method is inclusive of.preprocessing and classif.cation based on *** data is preprocessed using Gaussian f.ltering(Gf.to remove any extraneous noise f.om the image’s ***,the OSDL model is applied to classif. the CXRs under dif.erent severity levels based on CXR *** learning rate of.OSDL is optimized with the help of.ROA f.r COVID-19 diagnosis showing the novelty of.the *** model,applied in this study,was validated using the COVID-19 *** experiments were conducted upon the proposed OSDL model,which achieved a classif.cation accuracy of.99.83%,while the current Convolutional Neural Network achieved less classif.cation accuracy,i.e.,98.14%.

Electrospinning has recently emerged as a leading technique f.r generating biomimetic scaf.olds made of.synthetic and natural polymers f.r tissue engineering applications. In this study, we prepared polyvinyl alcohol （PVA） solution as biopolymer material f.r f.brication of.scaf.olds tissue by electrospiuning, we optimized the shape and size of.the ensuing electrospun f.bers by varying of.the electrospinning process, such as high voltage with 5-25 kV and polymeric solution rate with 0.2-10 ml/h. Scanning electron microscopy was utilized the topography of.individual electrospun f.bers. Distribution of.mean diameters of.the synthesis f.bers were measured f.＇om scanning electron micrographs. f.bers diameters size related with f.bers a count in SEM images as gaussian distribution with maximum peak represented the average f.bers diameters. Our results indicate that the average diameter PVA f.bers could be scaled down to mean values 80-500 nm without any beads, f.bers diameter increased as applied voltage decreased and decrease as polymeric solution f.ow rate increase to be with 300-580 nm as mean diameters.

Background: Patent Ductus Artriosus (PDA) is abnormal vascular communication between aorta and pulmonary artery and it is a common congenital heart anomaly seen in pediatric practice f.rming 5% - 10% of.all congenital heart def.cts. A retrospective study aims to review our experience and determine the ef.icacy and saf.ty of.transcatheter PDA closure in dif.erent age groups and has the procedure replaced the conventional surgical closure of.the PDA in the majority of.the cases. To assess the results and outcomes of.early experience, transcatheter closure of.patent ductus Arteriosus in all three cardiac centers in Kurdistan, using the Amplatzer Duct Occluder type I and II (ADO), and Cook coil f.r the f.rst time in Kurdistan are analyzed. Patients & Methods: A total of.three hundred and nine patients which included 228 f.males & 81 males were diagnosed to have PDA, between March 2008 to f.bruary 2011 in all three cardiac centers in Kurdistan, namely Hawler, Sulaimani and Duhok cardiac centers, where they underwent transcatheter closure of.the PDA with ADO type I and II. The common age on closure was 1 - 5 years old (range 5.5 months old to 32 years old), and weight ranged f.om 6 kg to 58 kg. We retrospectively analyzed medical records, echocardiography, angiographic and hemodynamic data and f.llow-up results of.the patients. Patients included in the study were according to standard recommendation f.r transcatheter closure of.PDA, and in any age they should be above 6 kilograms with exclusion of.cases with pulmonary hypertension and interrupted IVC. Results: Among 309 cases did catheterization procedures, the ratio of.f.male to male ratio was 2.6:1 and the age of.doing PDA closure at time of.procedure was between 5.5 months old to 33 years old, the mean age was 6.3 ± 6.5 years old and the weight ranges between 6 kg and 58 kg, mean of.11.5 ± 7.5 kg. The most commonly used device was Amplatzer I PDA device with high closure success rate of.97.1% af.er 6 and 12 months f.ll

The aim of.this study was to assess Acacia senegal trees’ characteristics as well as evaluate the carbon stock under a variety of.ages in the El Demokeya f.rest in Sudan, where the Gum Arabic belt is located. 12 sample plots, in 2021 were randomly distributed to represent the entire area of.the f.rest prior to the required measurements. The sample was designed as squire plots with one hectare. In each sample plot, all trees were counted, their height (m), and Diameters Breast Height (DBH in cm), respectively. The results showed the highest number of.trees per ha at age 20 years old and the lowest number at age 47 years, while the highest values of.DBH and volume were f.und at age 47 years old. As a result, the maximum and minimum values of.the aboveground biomass were f.und in the age 47 years old and 16 years, accounting f.r 19.87 tons and 1.9 tons respectively. Thus, the amount of.carbon stock was 11.92 tons/ha in the 35-years-old and 1.19 tons/ha in the 21-year stands. f.rthermore, the average carbon stock in all plots was estimated as 18.70 tons/ha and hence the total carbon stock in the El Demokeya f.rest is equal to 620.11 tons. Conclusively, the characteristics of.trees, amount of.aboveground biomass and carbon stock in the El Demokeya f.rest varied among the uneven-aged plantation groups. The study recommends and encourages the protection of.A. senegal in order to increase the carbon sink as well as protect the environment in the era of.climatic changes.

Background: Protein kinase B (AKT/PKB) f.mily is f.equently amplif.ed in ovarian cancer (OC). To the greatest of.our knowledge, there is a lack of.published reports about the amplif.cation of.the genes belonging to the AKT f.mily among Sudanese women with OC. The present study was conducted to detect the AKT1 gene amplif.cation and its association with tumour types, grades, and ages among Sudanese women with OC, bearing in mind the ethnic variation. Methods: This institution-based study included 79 cases of.women diagnosed with ovarian cancer (OC) at Omdurman Maternity Hospital in the period 2013-2018. f.rmalin-f.xed, paraf.in-embedded (f.PE) tissue sections were used to extract RNA. AKT1 gene amplif.cation was assessed using quantitative real-time PCR. Results: The mean age (±SD) of.included women was 49.29 (±13.612). The amplif.cation of.AKT1 gene was observed in 18/79 (22.8%) of.OC women, with a high f.equency in women with undif.erentiated 1/2 (50%), clear cell 2/6 (33.3%), mucinous 3/11 (27.3%), endometrioid 3/17 (17.6%), and serous carcinomas 5/30 OC (16.7%). High f.equency was seen in women with low (26.3%;n = 10/28) rather than in higher (19.5%;n = 8/33) grade carcinoma, and in older (25.8%;n = 8/23) rather than younger (18.2%;n = 2/9) women. No signif.cant association between AKT1 gene amplif.cation and tumour types, grades, and ages of.women was observed (f.sher’s Exact test: p = 0.405, 0.593 and 0.851, respectively). Conclusion: AKT1 gene amplif.cation arises in around one-f.f.h of.Sudanese women with ovarian cancer (OC). It is seen more in undif.erentiated, clear cell, and mucinous tumours types, and more f.equently in low tumour grade and older women, but not to a statistically signif.cant level. These outcomes sustenance previous studies suggesting that activated AKT genes have a vital role in OC progression and may of.er a plan f.r targeted therapy and prognostic evaluation.

Power-electronic devices are widely used in various applications, such as voltage and f.equency control f.r transmitting and converting electric power. As these devices are becoming increasingly important, there is a need to reduce their losses and improve their perf.rmance to reduce electric power consumption. Current power semiconductor devices, such as inverters, are made of.silicon (Si), but the perf.rmance of.these Si power devices is reaching its limit due to physical properties and energy bandgap. To address this issue, recent developments in wide bandgap (WBG) semiconductor materials, such as silicon carbide (SiC) and gallium nitride (GaN), of.er the potential f.r a new generation of.power semiconductor devices that can perf.rm signif.cantly better than silicon-based devices. In this research, a green synthesized copper-zinc-tin-sulf.de (CZTS) nanoparticle is proposed as a new WBG semiconductor material that could be used f.r optical and electronic devices. Its synthesis, consisting of.the production methods and materials used, is discussed. The characterization is also discussed, and f.rther research is recommended in the later sections to enable the continual advancement of.this technology.

Protective ef.ects of.Aristolochia longa and Aquilaria malaccensis against lead induced acute liver injury in rats

Objective: To investigate the protective ef.ects of.Aristolochia longa (A. longa) and Aquilaria malaccensis (A. malaccensis) on acute hepatotoxicity induced by lead in f.male albino rats. Methods: Twenty f.ve (25) apparently healthy f.male Wistar rats were randomly divided into f.ve groups of.f.ve rats in each: control, Pb, Pb + A. longa (Ar), Pb+ A. malaccensis (Aq), and Pb+ A. longa (Ar) + A. malaccensis (Aq) lead (100 mg/kg b.w.) as Pb (C2H3O2)2 added in their drinking water f.r 75 days. A. longa (rhizome powder at a dose of.10 g/kg of.diet ) and A. malaccensis (heartwood powder at a dose 10 g/kg of.diet) were added to the f.ed during the last 15 days of.lead exposed in the animals. Results: Obtained results revealed that lead treatment caused a signif.cant increase in serum GOT, GPT and ALP activities and in liver of.MDA level and CAT activity. In contrast, it led to an decrease in the liver GOT, GPT and GST activities and in GSH level in rats. Also, the results clearly showed that lead causes alterations of.hepatic tissue in comparison with controls. Our results showed that treatment with A. malaccensis and A. longa a partial correction of.the previous parameters. The histological observations conf.rmed the hepatoprotection results by the biochemical parameters. Conclusions: Results demonstrated benef.cial ef.ects of.A. longa and A. malaccensis treatment in Pb-induced oxidative stress and tissue damage in liver.
