This paper presents a comprehensive model for selecting optimal sites for geothermal heated greenhouses in the agricultural *** research involves two main components:assessing the geothermal energy resource using geological,geochemical and geophysical indicators;and developing a siting model based on fuzzy logic that considers technical,environmental and socio-economic fac*** study focuses on East Azerbaijan province in Iran-a cold *** results indicate that~3.24%of the total area of the province is suitable for constructing geothermal greenhouses,resulting in potential savings of~148000 and 745978 m3 of natural gas in areas with high and very high suitability,respectively.

Multi-pass ultrasonic impact treatment(UIT)was applied to modify the microstructure and improve the mechanical and tribological characteristics at the near-surface region of commercially pure Ti(CP-Ti)specimens produced by the laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF)*** considerably refined the L-PBF process-related acicular martensites(α′-M)and produced a well-homogenized and dense surface microstructure,where the porosity content of 1-,3-,and 5-pass UITed samples was reduced by 43,60,and 67%,*** UITed samples showed an enhancement in their near-surface mechanical properties up to a depth of about 300μ*** nanoindentation results for the 3-pass UITed sample revealed an increase of about 53,45,and 220%in its nanohardness,H/E_(r),and H_(3)/E_(r)^(2)indices,*** stylus profilometry results showed that performing the UIT removed the L-PBF-related features/defects and offered a smooth *** roughness average(R_(a))and the skewness(R_(sk))of the 3-pass UITed sample were found to be lower than those of the L-PBFed sample by 95 and 223%,*** the UIT also enhanced the material ratio,where the maximum load-bearing capacity(~100%)in as-L-PBFed(as-built)and 3-pass UITed samples was obtained at 60-and 10-µm depths,*** tribological investigations showed that applying the UIT resulted in a significant reduction of wear rate and average coefficient of friction(COF)of *** instance,under the normal pressures of 0.05 and 0.2 MPa,the wear rate and COF of the 3-pass UITed sample were lower than those of the L-PBFed sample by 65 and 58%,and 20 and 17%,respectively.

This investigation aimed to analyze the degradation of Eriochrome Black T （EBT） dye using a semiconductor photocatalyst synthesized through mechanical alloying. Various characterization methods， including X-ray diffraction （XRD）， energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy （EDX）， and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy （XPS）， were employed to study the properties of the photocatalysts. After 35 h of milling， a ball milled mixed metal oxides was formed as confirmed by XRD analysis. EDX and XPS analyses revealed significant differences in adsorption features with and without light exposure. The band gap of the 35 h ball milled sample was determined to be 4.08 eV. To optimize the EBT degradation， artificial neural network genetic algorithms were used to determine the optimal values for ZnO-La2O3dosage， lamp power， and pH， which were found to be 0.43， 52.06， and 3， respectively. The Z-scheme mechanism， supported by band gap， Fermi level， and work function analysis， was found to be responsible for the photocatalytic process. The photocatalysts demonstrated good reusability and high stability. Overall， the results suggest that the synthesized photocatalyst holds promising potential for the degradation of EBT dye in wastewater treatment.

This work explores experimentally the effects of DC electrical currents on lubricant film thickness alteration in lubricated sliding steel contacts in the boundary and mixed regime as measured by *** experiments were performed in a two-electrode cell-based pin-on-disk tester instrumented with ultrasonic *** and electrified tribological tests were conducted on steel flat-on-flat contacts under various speeds and loads using both a mineral base oil and a gear *** thickness,coefficient of friction(CoF),and electrical contact resistance(ECR)were measured during short experiments(30 s)in unelectrified and electrified(1.5 and 3 A)*** results suggest that film thickness,CoF,and all ECR are altered by passing DC currents through the *** particular,film thickness increased and decreased,respectively,by applying electricity at the different speeds and loads *** alterations were majorly ascribed to oil viscosity decrease by local heat and surface oxidation caused by electrical discharge and break down at the interface.

The Impact of Nitrogen-Fixing Bacteria, Iron, and Zinc Foliar Application on Dry Land Yellow Mustard (Brassica juncea) Grain and Oil Production

The study, conducted at the Research Farm of the College of Agriculture, University of Tabriz in 2021, focused on the effects of various nitrogen-fixing bacterial isolates, biofertilizers containing nitrogen and phosphorus, as well as iron and zinc foliar applications on mustard growth under rainfed conditions. The results indicated that biofertilizers, whether used alone or in combination with chemical fertilizers, produced comparable grain and oil outputs compared to chemical fertilizers alone. Additionally, the application of iron and zinc through foliar spraying significantly enhanced both grain and oil production. These findings suggest that integrating nitrogen-fixing bacteria and biofertilizers could reduce reliance on chemical nitrogenous fertilizers, leading to decreased production expenses, improved product quality, and minimized environmental impact. This study highlights the potential for sustainable agricultural practices in dry land farming as a viable alternative to traditional chemical-intensive methods. Substituting chemical nitrogenous fertilizers with nitrogen-fixing bacteria or biofertilizers could result in cost savings in mustard grain and oil production while promoting environmental sustainability.
