经冠状入路眼眶减压术26例

目的　探讨经冠状入路眼眶减压术 (coronalsurgicalapproachtoorbitaldecompression ,CSAD)的临床疗效。方法　选择双眼甲状腺相关眼病 (thyroidassociatedOphthalmopathy ,TAO )患者 2 6例 (5 2眼 ) ,行CSAD手术 ,其中二壁减压 2 0例 ,三壁减压 6例。结果　手术前平均睑裂宽度14 5mm ,手术后 11 7mm ;术前平均眼球突出度 2 3mm ;术后平均眼球突出 16 8mm ,平均后退6 2mm ,术后视力提高 18例 (3 6眼 )无变化 7例 (14眼 )减退 1例 (2眼 ) ;术后复视改善 17例 ,无变化 6例 ,复视症状加重 3例。结论　CSAD具有减压效果明显 ,并发症少 ,术后眼部无瘢痕等优点。

Graphene oxide is a promising adsorption ***,it has been difficult to recycle and separate graphene oxide in the *** alleviate this problem,graphene oxide was thermally reduced to produce porous hydrogel which was then functionalized with *** functional groups act as not only adsorption sites but also nucleation sites for in situ crystallization of cobalt-doped zeolitic-imidazolate-framework-8 *** effects of cobalt-doping contents on the physicochemical and adsorption properties of the resulting aerogel were also evaluated by varying the cobalt *** instance,the reduced graphene oxide-polydopamine/50cobalt-zeolitic-imidazolate-framework-8 aerogel exhibited a high surface area of 900 m^(2)·g^(-1)and maintained the structure in water after ten *** as-synthesized aerogels showed an ultrahigh adsorption capacity of 1217±24.35 mg·g^(-1)with a removal efficiency of>99%of lead,as well as excellent adsorption performance toward other heavy metals,such as copper and cadmium with adsorption capacity of 1163±34.91 and 1059±31.77 mg·g^(-1),*** importantly,the lead adsorption stabilized at 1023±20.5 mg·g^(-1)with a removal efficiency of>80%after seven cycles,indicating their potential in heavy metal removal from industrial wastewater.

In this study,we investigate the bulk-boundary and restricted phase space(RpS)thermodynamics of Rissner-Nordstrom(R-N)AdS and 6-dimensional charged Gauss-Bonnet AdS black ***,we examine the topological characteristics of the considered black holes and compare them with the results of extended *** determine that the topological behavior of the bulk-boundary thermodynamics is the same as that of the extended thermodynamics,whereas the RpS thermodynamics exhibits a distinct ***,we demonstrate that within the RpS formalism,there is only one critical point with a topological charge of+1(Q_(t)=+1).Moreover,in the RpS formalism,the inclusion of higher-derivative curvature terms in the form of GaussBonnet gravity does not alter the topological classification of critical points in charged AdS black holes.

AIM:To investigate the effect of using base-out prisms on nystagmus,visual acuity and contrast sensitivity in patients with ***:In this interventional study,patients with albinism who had nystagmus were enrolled.A comprehensive eye exam was conducted,which included refraction,assessment of far and near vision acuity,and contrast sensitivity *** check for the nystagmus,a videonystagmography was *** tests were carried out in three modes:without any correction,with optical correction,and with correction using base-out prisms in three different powers,including 4,6,and 8 prism ***:Totally 23 patients with average age of 28.65±12.13 were *** was found that the use of optical correction and optical correction with prisms resulted in a statistically significant improvement in both far(at least:pppt for prism 8;pproved at all low and medium frequencies except for correction with prism 8 in frequency 1.5(at least:ppt for prism 4,frequency 6;p=0.04).no significant improvement was observed in the evaluation of nystagmus ***:Optical correction with a prism can improve visual acuity and some spatial frequencies,but failed to improve nystagmus parameters.

Extranodal marginal zone lymphoma(EMZL)encompasses 70%of cases of marginal zone *** bendamustine and rituximab(BR)were derived from trials involving other indolent non-Hodgkin’s *** one trial has evaluated frontline BR prospectively in *** retrospective study reports outcomes among EMZL patients receiving frontline ***-five patients were included with a median age of 69 years(40–81).Five(20.0%)patients had stage Ⅰ/Ⅱ disease,and 20(80.0%)had stage Ⅲ/Ⅳ *** median number of cycles was 6.0(3.0–6.0).Maintenance rituximab was administered to 10(41.7%)*** response rate(ORR)was 100.0%(60.0%complete response,40.0%partial response).Medians of overall survival and progression-free survival were not *** estimated 2-year progression-free survival was 85.2%and overall survival was 100.0%.Four(16.6%)patients had infections related to treatment;3(12.0%)transformed to diffuse large B-cell lymphoma;5(20.8%)had a relapse or progression of EMZL;and 3(12.0%)died unrelated to *** is an efficacious and well-tolerated front-line regimen for EMZL with response data consistent with existing literature.

In this work the structural,electronic and thermoelectric properties of YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=p,As,Sb,Bi)zintl compounds were investigated comprehensively using first principles *** electronic properties were studied using pBE GGA,TB-mBJ and hybrid(YS-pBE0)*** the structural parameters of optimized structures are in harmonious agreement to the available *** band structure study illustrates that the titled materials manifest metallic and semi metallic nature using pBE and TB-mBJ potentials while they show wide band gap semiconducting behavior by following hybrid(YS-pBE0)*** density of states(TDOS)and partial density of states(pDOS)were also calculated to glimpse the contribution of orbitals of atoms in the formation of *** properties were studied by using BoltzTrap2 code employed to *** get enormous values of Seebeck coefficient(S),power factor(pF)and thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)for all the samples YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=p,As,Sb,Bi),Moreover,the overwhelming transport properties for the titled compounds indicate the optimum level of carriers’concentration which pinpoints these materials to be better thermoelectrics in the 1-2-2 zintl family.

Color and Gloss Changes of a Lignin-Based polyurethane Coating under Accelerated Weathering

The purpose of this research study was to investigate the properties of polyurethane coatings based on lignin *** this purpose,the prepared coatings were applied to pine wood surfaces and weathered ***,color and gloss of the coatings were measured before and after the weathering *** emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM)micrographs prepared from the coatings showed that the average size of nano-particles in the polyurethane substrate was approximately 500 *** magnetic resonance(13C-NMR)spectroscopy showed that strong urethane bonds were formed in the nano-lignin-based *** calorimetric analysis(DSC)test revealed that the glass-transition temperature(Tg)of lignin nanoparticles modified with diethylenetriamine(DETA)was 112.8℃ and Tg of lignin nano-particles modified with ethylenediamine(EDA)was 102.5℃,which is lower than the Tg of un-modified lignin(114.6℃)and lignin modified with DETA(126.8℃)and lignin modified with EDA(131.3℃).The coatings modified with lignin nano-particles had a greater change in *** lignin nano-particles in the modified coating are trapping hydroxyl radicals which reduces photoactivity and yellowing of the polyurethane by about 3 times compared to unmodified polyurethane *** weathering test,the nano-lignin-based coating had a rougher surface with a lower contact angle(0.78°)compared to the unmodified polyurethane coating(0.85°).

patterns of Infertility and Abortion in Saudi Arabia: A Cross-Sectional Study

Background: Infertility and abortion are significant reproductive health concerns globally, impacting individuals' well-being and healthcare systems. In Saudi Arabia, cultural, social, and religious factors influence perceptions and management of these issues, necessitating research to understand the patterns and associated factors. Study Aim: This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the patterns of infertility and abortion among 458 women in Saudi Arabia, focusing on demographic profiles, reproductive histories, medical conditions, and lifestyle factors. Methodology: participants were recruited from healthcare facilities, and data on age, BMI, reproductive history, medical conditions, assisted reproduction methods, and lifestyle behaviors were collected. Statistical analyses, including chi-square tests, were conducted to examine associations between variables. Results: The majority of participants were aged 30 - 39 years (47.4%), with 76.9% experiencing secondary infertility. Among those with offspring (76.9%), 31% reported using assisted reproduction methods, primarily ovarian stimulators (54.2%). Abortion history was reported by 39.5% of participants. Significant associations were found between age and infertility type (X2 = 5.8, p = 0.054), having offspring and infertility type (X2 = 458.0, p = 0.001), menstrual irregularity and infertility type (X2 = 11.4, p = 0.001), and abortion history and delayed fertility (X2 = 10.4, p = 0.001). Conclusion: Our study reveals significant associations between demographic, medical, and lifestyle factors with infertility patterns and abortion history among Saudi women. These findings emphasize the need for tailored interventions addressing medical conditions, age-related factors, and access to reproductive healthcare services.
