This paper presents a simplified zero-dimensional mathematical model for a self-humidifying proton exchange membrane(PEM)fuel cell stack of 1 k *** model incorporates major electric and thermodynamic variables and parameters involved in the operation of the PEM fuel cell under different operational *** of each of these parameters and variables upon the operation and the performance of the PEM fuel cell are *** mathematical equations are modeled by using Matlab-Simulink tools in order to simulate the operation of the developed model with a commercial available 1kW horizon PEM fuel cell stack(H-1000),which is used for the purposes of model validation and tuning of the developed *** model can be extrapolated to higher wattage fuel cells of similar *** equation is presented to determine the impact of using air to supply the PEM fuel cell instead of pure oxygen upon the concentration losses and the output voltage when useful current is drawn from it.

The kinetic study of in-situ eopolymerization of aniline with o- and p-methylaniline by ammonium persulfate （APS） has been carried out. UV-vis spectroscopic method was used to investigate the course of copolymerization. Structural characterization was studied by PT-IR spectral analysis. The electronic spectra of the copolymers poly（aniline-co-p-toluidine） and poly（aniline-co-o- toluidine） show blue shift. The shift has been observed in the bands corresponding to π→π^＊ transition as well as in the exciton transition. The increase in absorbance recorded during the reaction for different concentration of aniline, o- and p-toluidine at various intervals of time of polymerization reaction indicates a growth in the polymer formation. The resulting first-order rate constant was used to calculate the rate of copolymer formation using the rate equation -d[A]/dt = kc^n.

This paper examines the stability of the transition from the early decelerating stage of the Universe to the recent accelerating stage for the perfect fluid cosmological locally rotationally symmetric(LRS) Bianchi-I model in f(R, T) theory. To determine the solution of field equations, the idea of a timevarying deceleration parameter(DP) which yields a scale factor, for which the Universe attains a phase transition scenario and is consistent with recent cosmological observations, is used. The time-dependent DP yields a scale factor a=exp■, where β and k are respectively arbitrary and integration constants. By using the recent cons_traints(H_0 _= 73.8, and q_0 =-0.54) from Type Ia Supernova(SN Ia) data in combination with Baryonic Acoustic Oscillations(BAO) and Cosmic Microwave Background(CMB) observations(Giostri et al.), we obtain the values of β = 0.0062 and k = 0.000016 for which we have derived a cosmological model from the early decelerated phase to the present accelerating phase. By applying_ other r_ecent constraints(H_0 = 73.8, q_0 =-0.73) from SNe Ia Union data(Cunha), we obtain the values of β = 0.0036 and k = 0.000084 for which we have derived a cosmological model in the accelerating phase only. We have compared both models with experimental data. The stability of the background solution has been examined also for the metric perturbations alongside the properties of future singularities in a Universe ruled by dark energy with phantom type fluid. We demonstrate the presence of a stable fixed point with a condition of state ω <-1 and numerically affirm this is really a late-time attractor in the ghost overwhelmed Universe. Some physical and geometric properties of the model are found and examined.

Smart appliances and renewable energy resources are becoming an integral part of smart homes. Nowadays, home appliances are communicating with each other with home short-range home area gateways, using existing network communication protocols such as ZigBee, Bluetooth, RFID, and WiFi. A Gateway allows homeowners and utilities to communicate remotely with the appliances via long-range communication networks such as GPRS, WiMax, LTE, and power liner carrier. This paper utilizes the Internet of Things （IoT） concepts to monitor and control home appliances. Moreover, this paper proposes a framework that enables the integration and the coordination of Human-to-Appliance, Utility-to- Appliance, and Appliance-to-Appliance. Utilizing the concepts of Internet of Things leads to one standard communication protocols, TCP/IPV6, which overcomes the many diverse home area networks and neighborhood area networks protocols. This work proposes a cloud based framework that enables the IoTs integration and supports the coordination between devices, as well as with device-human interaction. A prototype is designed, implemented, and tested to validate the proposed solution.

Influence of Nitrogen Levels and Application Methods on Yield and Quality of Sorghum

A field study was conducted for two years at the Arid Zone Research Institute, Dera Ismail Khan, Pakistan, to determine the optimum level of nitrogen and efficient application method in the production of sorghum （Sorghum bicolor L.）. Using four levels of nitrogen, i.e., 0, 60, 90, and 120 kg ha^-1, and two different application methods （soil application and foliar spray）, the experiment was laid out in a split-plot design, where the main plots were used to determine the effective method of application and the subplots were used to detect the influence of N levels on the grain yield. The average data obtained after two years of study indicated an increase in the grain yields with an increase in N levels irrespective of the method used of N application. The grain yield increased from 2.92 to 5.61 t ha^-1 in the plots that were treated with 90 kg N ha^-1 compared with the control plots. Quadratic regression analysis showed that the increase in the yield was higher at the lower levels of N compared with the succeeding higher levels. The soil application method, producing an average grain yield of 4.79 t ha^-1, was found to be superior to the foliar spray method with an average grain yield of 4.56 t ha^-1. The protein content of the grain showed a linear increase with N application, attaining the maximum at 120 kg N ha^-1 in both the methods of N application. In addition, compared with the method of soil application, higher crude protein contents were observed using the method of foliar spray at all N levels.

Non-coding RNAs （ncRNAs） are critical regulators of gene expression in essentially all life forms. Long ncRNAs （IncRNAs） and microRNAs （miRNAs） are two important RNA classes possessing regulatory functions. Up to date, many primate-specific ncRNAs have been identified and investigated. Their expression specificity to primate lineage suggests primate-specific roles. It is thus critical to elucidate the biological significance of primate or even human-specific ncRNAs, and to develop potential ncRNA-based therapeutics. Here, we have summarized the studies regard- ing regulatory roles of some key primate-specific lncRNAs and miRNAs.

The performance of a speech emotion recognition(SER)system is heavily influenced by the efficacy of its feature extraction *** study was designed to advance the field of SER by optimizing feature extraction tech-niques,specifically through the incorporation of high-resolution Mel-spectrograms and the expedited calculation of Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients(MFCC).This initiative aimed to refine the system’s accuracy by identifying and mitigating the shortcomings commonly found in current ***,the primary objective was to elevate both the intricacy and effectiveness of our SER model,with a focus on augmenting its proficiency in the accurate identification of emotions in spoken *** research employed a dual-strategy approach for feature ***,a rapid computation technique for MFCC was implemented and integrated with a Bi-LSTM layer to optimize the encoding of MFCC ***,a pretrained ResNet model was utilized in conjunction with feature Stats pooling and dense layers for the effective encoding of Mel-spectrogram *** two sets of features underwent separate processing before being combined in a Convolutional Neural Network(CNN)outfitted with a dense layer,with the aim of enhancing their representational *** model was rigorously evaluated using two prominent databases:CMU-MOSEI and *** findings include an accuracy rate of 93.2%on the CMU-MOSEI database and 95.3%on the RAVDESS *** exceptional performance underscores the efficacy of this innovative approach,which not only meets but also exceeds the accuracy benchmarks established by traditional models in the field of speech emotion recognition.
