Warthin’s tumor is the second most frequent neoplasm next to pleomorphic adenoma in the salivary gland. The tumor contains the epithelial oncocyte cells with the presence of rich-mitochondria and their surrounding abundant lymphocytes. A relatively new disease entity of IgG4-related disease frequently occurs in the salivary gland. However, the coexistence of Warthin’s tumor and IgG4-related disease is scarcely observed. We have recently experienced a rare case of Warthin’s tumor with IgG4-related sialadenitis. A 51-year-old man presented to our hospital, complaining of a mass with right submandibular tenderness and spontaneous pain. A computed tomography scan of the cervical region revealed a suspicion of lymph node proliferative disease, including malignant lymphoma. Elevated serum levels of IL-2R: 1843 U/ml (reference value 122 - 496 U/ml), IgG: 3430 mg/dl (reference value 861 - 1747 mg/dl), and IgG4: 3140 mg/dl (reference value 11 - 121 mg/dl) were observed. Other laboratory data showed within normal ranges. The cervical tumor was diagnosed as Warthin’s tumor by the findings of fine-needle aspiration cytology and biopsy examination. Immunohistochemistry revealed numerous IgG4- and IgG-positive cells with fibrosis surrounding the epithelial component of Warthin’s tumor, suggesting IgG4-rerated sialadenitis. Finally, we diagnosed the cervical tumor as Warthin tumor with IgG4-related sialadenitis. This is the second report describing a case of Warthin’s tumor with possible involvement of IgG4-related sialadenitis.

实验动物作为“活的试剂”,推动了生命科学和医学的飞速发展,其福利伦理问题日益受到社会各界的关注。实验动物福利伦理不仅是动物保护主义的重要组成部分,也对于保障实验动物的权益、促进科学研究的合理性与道德性具有重要意义。然而,在动物保护主义的演变过程中,极端动物保护主义作为一种偏激的观点和理论逐渐浮现。本文旨在从实验动物福利伦理的视角出发,总结动物保护主义的主要理论和实验动物福利伦理的发展历程;分析极端动物保护主义的主要问题;并针对我国实验动物福利伦理的现状提出建议,以期为我国的实验动物福利伦理实践和制度建设提供参考。

One ICSI attempt led to clinical pregnancy with a healthy baby ***:We report a male patient with low- incidence mosaic Klinefelter's syndrome whose ejaculated spermatozoa were identified as being haploid by FISH before ICSI,leading to the successful pregnancy of his wife and the birth of a healthy baby girl.

Several applications of Origami have been tested in industrial area. However, Origami based design is found only in lamp shade and wrapping in design area, and has not been practically applied especially in clothing. In this paper, the conical truss model is applied in the clothing skirt, and the simulation software from 2D to 3D is developed by parametric Origami module （POM）. Finally, the pattern is copied on felt clothing, and the scaled model of skirt on the basis of conical reverse truss model design is made.

The purpose of this study was to develop an extended-release(ER) matrix tablet that shows robust dissolution properties able to account for the variability of pH and mechanical stress in the GI tract using a combination of enteric polymer and hydrophilic polymer. Hypromellose acetate succinate(HPMCAS) and hydroxypropylcellulose(HPC) were selected as ER polymers for the ER matrix tablet(HPMCAS/HPC ER matrix tablet). Oxycodone hydrochloride was employed as a model drug. Dissolution properties of the HPMCAS/HPC ER matrix tablets were evaluated and were not affected by the pH of the test medium or paddle rotating *** a USP apparatus 3(bio-relevant dissolution method), dissolution profiles of the HPMCAS/HPC ER matrix tablets containing oxycodone hydrochloride were similar to that of the reference product(OxyC ontin). Moreover, in vivo performance after oral administration of the HPMCAS/HPC ER matrix tablets to humans was simulated by GastroP lus based on dissolution profiles from the USP apparatus 3. The plasma concentration-time profile simulated was similar to that of the reference product. These results suggest that the combination of HPMCAS and HPC shows a robust dissolution profile against pH and paddle rotating speed and indicates the appropriate extended-release profile in humans.

AIM: To investigate the effects of a novel Leukotriene B4 receptor antagonist and/or tacrolimus on ischemia-reperfusion in a rat liver model. METHODS: Male Lewis rats were pretreated with ONO-4057 (100 mg/kg) and/or tacrolimus (1 mg/kg) orally, and divided into four experimental groups; group 1 (control), group 2 (ONO-4057), group 3 (tacrolimus), group 4 (ONO-4057 + tacrolimus). RESULTS: There was a tendency for long survival in the groups treated with tacrolimus alone and ONO-4057 plus tacrolimus. Post-reperfusion serum aspartate aminotransferase levels decreased more signif icantly in ONO-4057 plus tacrolimus group (P < 0.01), than in the tacrolimus alone group (P < 0.05), compared to controls. CONCLUSION: This study demonstrated that pretreat-ment with ONO-4057 in combination with tacrolimus produced additive effects in a rat model of liver isch-emia-reperfusion injury.

Objective： Acute myeloid leukemia progressed from myelodysplastic syndrome （MDS/AML） is generally incurable with poor prognosis for complex karyotype including monosomy 7 （-7）. Qinghuang Powder （青黄, QHP）, which includes Qing Dai （ Indigo naturalis） and Xiong Huang （realgar） in the formula, is effective in treating MDS or MDS/AML even with the unfavorable karyotype, and its therapeutic efficacy could be enhanced by increasing the Xiong huang content in the formula, while Xiong huang contains 〉 90% arsenic disulfide （As2S2）. F-36p cell line was established from a MDS/AML patient with complex karyotype including -7, and was in cytokine-dependent. The present study was to investigate the effects of As2S2 on F-36p cells. Methods： Cell proliferation was measured by an 3-（4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl）-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide （MTT） assay. Cell apoptosis was identified by Annexin V-staining. Cell viability was determined by a propidium iodide （PI） exclusion. Erythroid differentiation was evaluated by the expression of cell surface antigen CD235a （GpA）. Results： After treatment with As2S2 at concentrations of 0.5 to 16 p. mol/L for 72 h, As2S2 inhibited the proliferation of F-36p cells. The 50% inhibitory concentrations （IC50） of As2S2 against the proliferation of F-36p cells was 6 I~ mol/L. The apoptotic cells significantly increased in a dose-dependent mannar （P〈0.05）. The cell viabilities were significantly inhibited by As2S2 dose-dependent in a dose-dependent manner （P〈0.05）. Significant increases of CD235a-positive cells were concurrently observed （P〈0.05） also in a dose- dependent manner. Conclusions： As2S2 could inhibit proliferation and viability, induce apoptosis, and concurrently promote erythroid differentiation dose-dependently in F-36p cells.
