Trial application of the envelope method to the potential ambiguity problem

The optical potential ambiguity is a long-standing problem in the analysis of elastic scattering *** a specific collid-ing system,ambiguous potential families can lead to different behaviors in the nearside and farside scattering *** contrast,the envelope method can decompose the experimental data into two components with negative and positive deflection angles,***,a question arises as to whether the comparison between the calculated nearside(or farside)component and the derived positive-deflection-angle(or negative-deflection-angle)component can help analyze the potential ambiguity *** this study,we conducted a trial application of the envelope method to the potential ambiguity *** envelope method was improved by including uncertainties in the experimental *** colliding systems of 16O+28Si at 215.2 MeV and 12C+12C at 1016 MeV were considered in the *** each colliding system,the angular distribution experimental data were described nearly equally well by two potential sets,one of which is“surface transpar-ent”and the other is *** calculated angular distributions were decomposed into nearside and farside scattering *** the improved envelope method,the experimental data were decomposed into the positive-deflection-angle and negative-deflection-angle components,which were then compared with the calculated nearside and farside *** capability of the envelope method to analyze the potential ambiguities was also discussed.

随着上车身引起的风噪声逐渐得到控制,电动汽车车底高速气流对车内噪声的影响逐渐凸显。为了解决纯电动汽车底盘风噪声凸显的问题,采用大涡模拟(LES)的方法,通过分析底盘流场结构和表面脉动压力级,对某电动汽车底盘区域的高速气流噪声源进行了研究。研究表明,底盘的车轮区域成为电动汽车底盘风噪声的主要来源,在汽车底部加装挡风板和侧裙,可以有效改善降低电动汽车的底盘风噪源强度性能。

Polypropylene(PP)is considered to be a rather promising material for HVDC cable *** modification has proved to be an effective method on the electrical property improvements of *** paper reports on the highlyenhanced electrical properties of styrene-grafted polypropylene(PP-g-St)and their related *** influence of grafting styrene on crystallization structures,thermal properties and electrical properties of PP-g-St are characterized and *** results show that PP-g-St exhibits remarkably enhanced DC volume resistivity,suppressed space charge accumulation and improved DC breakdown strengths as compared to *** observation shows PP-g-St has small,imperfect spherulites with indistinct boundaries,which is strongly correlated to enhanced electrical *** study provides an effective grafting strategy to design high-performance HVDC cable insulation materials for bulk power transmission systems.

MAUN:Memory-Augmented Deep Unfolding Network for Hyperspectral Image Reconstruction

Spectral compressive imaging has emerged as a powerful technique to collect the 3D spectral information as 2D *** algorithm for restoring the original 3D hyperspectral images(HSIs)from compressive measurements is pivotal in the imaging *** approaches painstakingly designed networks to directly map compressive measurements to HSIs,resulting in the lack of interpretability without exploiting the imaging *** some recent works have introduced the deep unfolding framework for explainable reconstruction,the performance of these methods is still limited by the weak information transmission between iterative *** this paper,we propose a Memory-Augmented deep Unfolding Network,termed MAUN,for explainable and accurate HSI ***,MAUN implements a novel CNN scheme to facilitate a better extrapolation step of the fast iterative shrinkage-thresholding algorithm,introducing an extra momentum incorporation step for each iteration to alleviate the information ***,to exploit the high correlation of intermediate images from neighboring iterations,we customize a cross-stage transformer(CSFormer)as the deep denoiser to simultaneously capture self-similarity from both in-stage and cross-stage features,which is the first attempt to model the long-distance dependencies between iteration *** experiments demonstrate that the proposed MAUN is superior to other state-of-the-art methods both visually and *** code is publicly available at https://***/huQ1an/MAUN.

Effects of the urban landscape on heatwave-mortality associations in Hong Kong: comparison of different heatwave definitions

Despite increased attention given to potential modifiers of temperature-mortality associations, evidence for variations between different urban landscape characteristics remains limited. It is in this context that in this paper effect modifications of multiple urban landscape characteristics are explored under different heatwave definitions for different age groups and gender in Hong Kong, China. Daily meteorological data and heatwave-related mortality counts from 2008 to 2017 were collected from the Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department, China. A case-only design was adopted, combined with logistic regression models to examine the modification effects of five urban landscape characteristics under six heatwave definitions. Stratified analyses were conducted to investigate age- and gender-specific effect modifications. It is found that individuals living in greener areas experienced lower levels of mortality during or immediately after heatwaves. In contrast, a higher building density and nighttime land surface temperature (LST) were associated with a higher heatwave-related mortality risk. Pronounced effect modifications of these urban landscape characteristics were observed under hotter and longer heatwaves, and in older adults (age ≥ 65 years) and males. The findings provide a scientific basis for policymakers and practitioners when considering measures for coping with hotter, longer, and more frequent heatwaves in the context of global climate change.

Stochastic LQ Control with Extra Measurability Restriction

Different from the standard linear quadratic(LQ)problem for stochastic systems,the LQ problem considered in the paper has extra measurability *** problem also appears in the LQ control problem for stochastic systems with delays,rational expectations problems,asymmetric information control,and so *** essential difficulty lies in that one has to optimize the input and its conditional expectations *** stochastic maximum principle(SMP)and orthogonal decomposition technique are the key ***,the authors establish the SMP and convert the original problem into forward and backward stochastic difference equations(FBSDEs)with extra measurability ***,the authors resolve the FBSDEs by using the orthogonal decomposition technique and obtain the analytical solution to the underlying ***,the authors explore the essential distinction between the problem and the standard stochastic LQ control ***,numerical examples are given to illustrate the obtained results.

Intraseasonal variability of the Kuroshio observed via mooring at 18°N

Insufficient observations near the origin of the Kuroshio have led to incomplete understanding of the intraseasonal variability(ISV)of the *** measurements of the Kuroshio velocity were performed with an array of three profiler moorings(122.7°E,123°E,and 123.3°E)along 18°N from January 2018 to February *** ISV of the Kuroshio at 18°N was investigated based on a combination of mooring observations and global high-resolution HYbrid Coordinate Ocean Model reanalysis *** estimated time-averaged transport in the upper 350 m across the observation transect was 6.5±2.6 Sv(1.0 Sv=10^(6)m^(3)/s).Two significant ISV peaks at 50-60 and~100 d were recognized in the power spectra of the meridional velocity and *** analysis indicated that the ISV at 50-60 d was caused by westward-propagating eddies at average propagation speed of~13 cm/s and wavelength of~635 *** ISV peak at~100 d was mainly caused by northward-propagating eddies generated in the North Equatorial Current *** investigation indicated that the ISV of the Kuroshio at 18°N is dominated by meridional transport,rather than by the zonal migration of the Kuroshio main *** findings provide a better understanding of the ISV of the Kuroshio east of Luzon Island.
