Cycloclypeus carpenteri is the largest extant benthic foraminifer,dwelling in the deep euphotic zone(a water depth between 60 and 130 m)of the warm oligotrophic Indo-West *** foraminifer harbors diatom endosymbionts and the foraminifer-microalgal association acts like a *** verify that light is an important limiting factor controlling the vertical(depth)distribution of living Cycloclypeus holobionts,their physiological responses to light intensity were examined by short-term metabolic measurements and long-term *** oxygen production(OP)rates measured under different light levels using an oxygen microelectrode indicate that Cycloclypeus holobionts are daily net primary producers adapted to low light levels,with slight photoinhibition(reduced net OP rates relative to a light-saturated rate)over 100μmol photons m^(−2)s^(−1).Long-term growth increments of asexually reproduced juveniles incubated for two months at different light levels ranging from 0 to 100μmol photons m^(−2)s^(−1) show that Cycloclypeus holobionts are adapted to a low light level(∼5μmol photons m^(−2)s^(−1)),but can be acclimatized to a certain low light ranges(s m^(−2)s^(−1)).These experimental results confirm that light is an important environmental gradient affecting the vertical distribution of Cycloclypeus holobionts.

A simplified model was developed to describe the Curie temperature suppression of ferromagnetic nanoparticles. Based on a size and shape dependent model of cohesive energy, the critical temperature variations of ferromagnetic nanoparticles were deduced. It is predicted that the Curie temperature of nanoparticles depends on both size and shape conditions, among which the temperature suppression is strongly influenced by the particle size and the shape effect is comparably minor. The calculation values for freestanding nanoparticles are in good agreement with other theoretical model and the experimental results. The model is also potential for predictions for the nanoparticles embedded in different substrates.

Due to the rapid development of applications of artificial intelligence and robotics in recent years, the necessity of reasoning and decision making with uncertain and inaccurate information is increasing. since robots in the real world are always exposed to behavioral inaccuracies and uncertainty arising from recognition methods, they may occasionally encounter contradictory facts during reasoning on action decision. Paraconsistent logic programming is promising to make appropriate action decisions even when an agent is exposed to such uncertain information or contradictory facts, but there has been no implementation of this programming to the best of our knowledge. We propose a resolution algorithm for the 3-valued paraconsistent logic programming system QMPT0 and its implementation on sWI-Prolog. We also describe an application of the 3-valued paraconsistent logic programming regarding agent decision making.

During vascular development, procambial and cambial cells give rise to xylem and phloem cells. Because the vascular tissue is deeply embedded, it has been difficult to analyze the processes of vascular development in detail. Here, we establish a novel in vitro experimental system in which vascular development is induced in Arabidopsis thaliana leaf-disk cultures using bikinin, an inhibitor of glycogen synthase kinase 3 proteins. Transcriptome analysis reveals that mesophyll cells in leaf disks synchronously turn into procambial cells and then differentiate into tracheary elements. Leaf-disk cultures from plants expressing the procambial cell markers TDRpro：GUs and TDRpro：YFP can be used for spatiotemporal visualization of procambial cell formation. Further analysis with the tdr mutant and TDIF （tracheary element differentiation inhibitory factor） indicates that the key signaling TDIF-TDR-GsK3s regulates xylem differentiation in leaf-disk cultures. This new culture system can be combined with analysis using the rich material resources for Arabidopsis including cell-marker lines and mutants, thus offering a powerful tool for analyzing xylem cell differentiation.

Carbon footprint assessment for the waste management sector： A comparative analysis of China and Japan

Waste management is becoming a crucial issue in modem society owing to rapid urbanization and the increasing generation of municipal solid waste （MsW）. This paper evaluates the carbon footprint of the waste management sector to identify direct and indirect carbon emissions, waste recycling carbon emission using a hybrid life cycle assessment and input-output analysis. China and Japan was selected as case study areas to highlight the effects of different industries on waste management. The results show that the life cycle carbon footprints for waste treatment are 59.01 million tons in China and 7.01 million tons in Japan. The gap between these footprints is caused by the different waste management systems and treatment processes used in the two countries. For indirect carbon footprints, China＇s material carbon footprint and deprecia- tion carbon footprint are much higher than those of Japan, whereas the purchased electricity and heat carbon footprint in China is half that of Japan. China and Japan have similar direct energy consumption carbon footprints. However, CO2 emissions from MsW treatment processes in China （46.46 million tons） is significantly higher than that in Japan （2.72 million tons）. The corresponding effects of waste recycling on CO2 emission reductions are consider- able, up to 181.37 million tons for China and 96.76 million tons for Japan. Besides, measures were further proposed for optimizing waste management systems in the two countries. In addition, it is argued that the advanced experience that developed countries have in waste management issues can provide scientific support for waste treatment in developing countries such as China.

The major soil animal groups, enchytraeid worms and oribatid mites, were compared in the abundance and diversity between conventional fields (CT) and organic farming fields with tillage (OT) or no-tillage (ON) practices. The values of abundance, species richness, diversity and evenness were significantly larger in OT and ON than in CT, indicating that the abundance and diversity in organic farming fields were greater than those in conventional farming. The community structure of enchytraeid genera was different between OT and ON. Enchytraeus was the most abundant in OT, while Fridericia in ON. The abundance of oribatids in OT was similar to that in ON, while the species richness and diversity in the former were smaller. These results suggested that no-tillage practice under organic management might contribute to the improvement in quality of soil mesofauna.

Objective:stenting for coronary artery disease is generally accepted as a percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI),but there remain many challenges with this *** coronary atherectomy(DCA)can reduce plaque volume,and its use alone or in combination with drug-coated balloons can reduce stent ***,clinical studies on DCA are limited,and its safety and effectiveness remain *** aimed to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the new DCA device-ATHEROCUT with intravascular ultrasound(IVUs)***:Between May 2015 and May 2018,45 patients with 48 lesions were treated electively with ATHEROCUT in Kusatsu Heart *** retrospectively analyzed in-hospital major adverse cardiac events(MACE),overall clinical follow-up MACE,complications rate,and dual antiplatelet therapy(DAPT)*** definition of MACE included cardiac death,myocardial infarction,and target lesion revascularization(TLR).Our definition of complications included coronary perforation,thrombosis,and major ***:The overall follow-up rate was 95.6%,and the average follow-up period was 453±320 ***-hospital and overall MACE rates were 2.2%(TLR 0)and 11.1%(TLR 8.9%),*** were no complications,except for one cerebral hemorrhage case(2.1%),which was considered irrelevant to the PCI *** DAPT duration was 8.3±8.3 months,only 4.8±4.9 months in the subgroup that did not require another ***:Using the ATHEROCUT device with IVUs guidance is safe,might be effective in selected patients and can shorten the DAPT period.

目的调查护士对有喂养困难的唇腭裂患儿所采用的临床奶瓶喂养技术现状。方法采用质性描述性研究设计。于2021年12月至2022年1月,向日本1109所设有产科、新生儿科或小儿牙科病房的医院分别发放匿名问卷。参与者是具有5年以上唇腭裂患儿护理工作经验的护士。问卷包括喂养技术4个方面的开放式问题,包括:奶瓶喂养前的准备、乳头插入方法、吸吮帮助和停止奶瓶喂养的标准。根据意义相似性对资料进行分类和分析。结果共获得410份有效问卷。资料分析结果显示,奶瓶喂养前的准备工作分为7个类别(如,改善患儿的口腔运动、保持患儿平稳呼吸),27个子类别;在乳头插入方法中,分为4个类别(如,用乳头在口腔内形成负压封闭裂口、插入乳头时不接触裂口),11个子类别;在吸吮帮助中,分为5个类别(如,促进觉醒、口腔产生负压),13个子类别;在停止奶瓶喂养的标准中,分为5个类别(如,觉醒水平降低、生命体征变差),16个子类别。96.0%护士希望学习唇腭裂患儿的奶瓶喂养技术。结论本研究确定了多项用于唇腭裂喂养困难患儿的奶瓶喂养技术。然而,这些技术之间存在相互矛盾,方法的有效性也未得到评估。未来需要进行干预研究,以确定各项技术的益处或潜在的危害。
