The influence of the tensor interaction of nucleons on the characteristics of neutron-rich silicon and nickel isotopes was studied in this *** forces are considered within the framework of the Hartree-Fock approach with the sky.me *** addition of a tensor component of interaction is shown to improve the description of the splittings between different single-particle states and decrease nucleon-nucleon pairing correlations in silicon and nickel *** attention was directed toward the role of isovector tensor forces relevant to the interaction of like nucleons.

In the electron moiré method, a high-frequency.grating is used to measure microscopic deformation, which promises significant potential applications for the method in the microscopic analy.is of materials. However, a special beam scanning control device is required to produce a grating and generate a moiré fringe pattern for the scanning electron microscope （sEM）. Because only.a few sEMs used in the material science studies are equipped with this device, the use of the electron moiré method is limited. In this study. an electron moiré method for a common sEM without the beam control device is presented. A grating based on a multi-scanning concept is fabricated in any.observing mode. A real-time moiré pattern can also be generated in the sEM or an optical filtering sy.tem. Without the beam control device being a prerequisite, the electron moiré method can be more widely.used. The experimental results from three different ty.es of sEMs show that high quality.gratings with uniform lines and less pitch error can be fabricated by.this method, and moiré patterns can also be correctly.generated.

We revisit the problem of adsorption of a single4He lay.r on graphene, focusing on the commensurate(C1/3) cry.talline phase, specifically.on whether it may.possess a nonzero superfluid response, and on the existence of superfluid phases, either（metastable） liquid or vacancy.doped cry.talline. We make use of canonical quantum Monte Carlo simulations at zero and finite temperature, based on a realistic microscopic model of the sy.tem. Our results confirm the absence of any.superfluid response in the commensurate cry.tal, and that no thermody.amically.stable uniform phase exists at lower coverage. No evidence of a possibly.long-lived, metastable superfluid phase at C1/3coverage is found. Altogether, the results of ground-state projection methods and finite-temperature simulations are entirely.consistent.

Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)shape memory.alloy.sMA)is a promising material in the aerospace field due to its wide transformation *** application of shape memory.effect depends on multistep thermomechan-ical loading,viz.,low-temperature deformation and subsequent heating to ***-temperature deformation prestrain play. a pivotal role in shape memory.properties tailoring of sMA ***,microstructure evolution and deformation mechanisms of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)sMA subjected to vari-ous prestrain levels are still *** this end,microstructure evolution and shape memory.behaviors of Ni_(47)Ti_(44)Nb_(9)alloy.subjected to multistep thermomechanical loading with prestrain levels of 8%-16%at-28℃(M_(s)+30℃)were *** results demonstrate that the stress-strain curve of the specimen exhibits four distinct stages at a maximal prestrain of 16%.Whereas stageⅡand stageⅢend at prestrains of∼8%and∼12%,*** stageⅡ,the stress-induced martensitic transformation is accompanied by.the dislocation slip of the NiTi matrix andβ-Nb *** stageⅢ,in addition to the higher density.of dislocations and further growth of stress-induced martensite variants(sIMVs),(001)compound twins are introduced as a result of the(001)deformation twinning in stress-induced ***{20-1}martensite twins are gradually.introduced in stageⅣ.Correspondingly.after subsequent unloading and heating,a higher density.ofsaustenite twins form in the specimen with a larger prestrain of 16%.With increasing prestrain from 8%to 16%,the recoverable strainε_(re)^(T)upon heating increases first and then ***ε_(re)^(T)obtains a maximum of 7.03%at 10%prestrain and de-creases to 6.17%at 16%*** increase ofε_(re)^(T)can be attributed to the formation of new sIMVs,the further growth of existing sIMVs,and the recoverable(001)compound *** the decrease ofε_(re)^(T)is mainly.associated with the irrecoverable strain by.20−1}martensite *** effe

Molecular Dy.amics (MD) simulation for computing Interatomic Potential (IAP) is a very.important High-Performance Computing (HPC) application. MD simulation on particles of experimental relevance takes huge computation time, despite using an expensive high-end server. Heterogeneous computing, a combination of the Field Programmable Gate Array.(FPGA) and a computer, is proposed as a solution to compute MD simulation efficiently. In such heterogeneous computation, communication between FPGA and Computer is necessary. One such MD simulation, explained in the paper, is the (Artificial Neural Network) ANN-based IAP computation of gold (Au147 & Au309) nanoparticles. MD simulation calculates the forces between atoms and the total energy.of the chemical sy.tem. This work proposes the novel design and implementation of an ANN IAP-based MD simulation for Au147 & Au309 using communication protocols, such as Universal Asy.chronous Receiver-Transmitter (UART) and Ethernet, for communication between the FPGA and the host computer. To improve the latency.of MD simulation through heterogeneous computing, Universal Asy.chronous Receiver-Transmitter (UART) and Ethernet communication protocols were explored to conduct MD simulation of 50,000 cy.les. In this study. computation times of 17.54 and 18.70 h were achieved with UART and Ethernet, respectively. compared to the conventional server time of 29 h for Au147 nanoparticles. The results pave the way.for the development of a Lab-on-a-chip application. Copy.ight © 2024 The Authors. Published by.Tech science Press.
