The Role of Renewable Protocatechol Acid in Epoxy Coating Modification: significantly Improved Antiba.terial and Adhesive Properties

It is of great significance to design epoxy coatings with superior antiba.terial properties and high adhesive properties, as well as excellent processing, superior durability, and high transparency. However, it is still a challenge because of the common complex design and synthesis. Herein, the bio-ba.ed monomer protocatechuic acid(PCA) was used as raw material, the catechol structure with high bonding and antiba.terial properties was introduced into the flexible alkane segment of ethylene glycol diglycidyl ether(EGDE) through an efficient, and green method, and it was cured with isophorone diamine(IPDA) to prepare corresponding thermosets. The cured resins exhibited excellent allaround qualities, particularly in bonding and antiba.terial. When 30% PCA was added to pure epoxy resin, the adhesion between substrate and coating increased from 4.40 MPa to 13.60 MPa and the antiba.terial rate of coating against E. coli and s. aureus could approach 100%. All of this is due to the fact that the catechol structure present in PCA has the ability to interact with various substrates and alter the permeability of ba.terial cell membranes. The architecture of this method offers a fresh approach to dealing with the issues of challenging raw material selection and complex synthesis techniques.

Biological sources, paleoenvironment, and organic matter enrichment in source rocks of the Ordovician Majiagou Formation, Ordos ba.in, China:Evidence from biomarkers,microfossils, and inorganic geochemical analyses

Carbonate deposits in the Ordovivian Majiagou Formation are significant source rocks for natural gas generation in the Ordos ba.in, northwestern China. Previous studies mainly focused on the organic matter enrichment mechanism of shales rather than carbonate rocks. The biological sources and paleoenvironment of carbonate source rocks, and the main controlling factors of organic matter enrichment in the carbonate source rocks were studied in this paper in combination with evidence from biomarkers, microfossils and inorganic geochemistry analysis. The results show that four types of microfacies were identified in the Majiagou Formation, respectively as: mud flat microfacies, mud-dolomite flat microfacies, dolomite flat microfacies, and open marine microfacies. The biological sources of organic matter are chiefly planktonic algae, followed by ba.teria. The mud flat and mud-dolomite flat contain a high abundance of terrigenous detrital inputs, as indicated by the high content of Al_(2)O_(3), TiO_(2), Th, and Zr. The low sr/Cu and high Rb/sr values reveal warm and humid paleoclimate conditions in the mud flat and mud-dolomite flat, whereas the dolomite flat and open marine were likely formed in hot and arid paleoclimate conditions. The mud flat and mud-dolomite flat deposits were characterized by high paleoproductivity of the Majiagou Formation. Low sr/ba.values were found in the mud flat samples, indicating fresh to brackish water condition, whereas samples of other facies have a relatively high degree of salinity. ba.ed on u_(auth), Mo_(auth), Cr_(auth), Co_(auth), δCe, and δEu values, the mud flat microfacies was formed in a suboxic and anoxic environment, whereas the mud-dolomite flat, dolomite flat and open marine microfacies were within dysoxic to oxic conditions. A model of organic matter enrichment in the Majiagou Formation is thus established. Force Compensation Control for Electro-Hydraulic servo system with Pump-Valve Compound Drive via QFT-DTOC

Each joint of a hydraulic-driven legged robot adopts a highly integrated hydraulic drive unit(HDu),which features a high power-weight ***,most HDus are throttling-valve-controlled cylinder systems,which exhibit high energy *** contrast,pump control systems offer a high ***,their response ability is *** fully utilize the advantages of pump and valve control systems,in this study,a new type of pump-valve compound drive system(PCDs)is designed,which can not only effectively reduce the energy loss,but can also ensure the response speed and response accuracy of the HDus in robot joints to satisfy the performance requirements of ***,considering the force control requirements of energy conservation,high precision,and fast response of the robot joint HDu,a nonlinear mathematical model of the PCDs force control system is first *** addition,pressure-flow nonlinearity,friction nonlinearity,load complexity and variability,and other factors affecting the system are considered,and a novel force control method ba.ed on quantitative feedba.k theory(QFT)and a disturba.ce torque observer(DTO)is designed,which is denoted as QFT-DTOC *** method improves the control accuracy and robustness of the force control system,reduces the effect of the disturba.ce torque on the control performance of the servo motor,and improves the overall force control performance of the ***,experimental verification is performed using the PCDs performance test *** experimental results and quantitative data show that the QFT-DTOC proposed herein can significantly improve the force control performance of the *** relevant force control method can be used as a bottom-control method for the hydraulic servo system to provide a foundation for implementing the top-level trajectory planning of the robot.

Aggregation of CeAlO_(3) inclusions in heavy ingot of a steel containing 0.007% aluminum

The distribution of inclusions at the bottom of a Ce-treated heavy steel ingot was detected and *** three-dimensional morphology and spatial distribution of CeAlOs clusters were characterized using the electrolytic extraction and Micro-CT detection.A model of inclusion collision to predict the aggregation of CeAlO_(3) inclusions in the ingot was established and validated by measured *** were mainly CeAlO_(3) and a small amount of Ce_(2)O_(2)s in the tundish after cerium *** collision and aggregation of inclusions led to the formation of large clusters in the ingot during the solidification *** slag entrainment inclusions,large CeAO_(3) clusters and small CeAlO_(3) particles were observed from the center to the edge of the ingot *** inclusions were mainly concentrated at the *** number density of inclusions larger than 200μm was 0.21 mm^(-3).The maximum diameter of CeA1O_(3) clusters was 1340μ*** the edge to the radial center and from the bottom to the top,the average diameter of inclusions gradually increased due to the longer solidification time of the ingot.

Permeability Estimation of shale Oil Reservoir with Laboratory-derived Data: A Case study of the Chang 7 Member in Ordos ba.in

The shale oil reservoir within the Yanchang Formations of Ordos ba.in harbors substantial oil and gas resources and has recently emerged as the primary focus of unconventional oil and gas exploration and *** to its complex pore and throat structure,pronounced heterogeneity,and tight reservoir characteristics,the techniques for conventional oil and gas exploration and production face challenges in comprehensive implementation,also indicating that as a vital parameter for evaluating the physical properties of a reservoir,permeability cannot be effectively *** study selects 21 tight sandstone samples from the Q area within the shale oil formations of Ordos *** systematically conduct the experiments to measure porosity,permeability,ultrasonic wave velocities,and resistivity at varying confining *** reveal that these measurements exhibit nonlinear changes in response to effective *** using these experimental data and effective medium model,empirical relationships between P-and s-wave velocities,permeability and resistivity and effective pressure are established at logging and seismic ***,relationships between P-wave impedance and permeability,and resistivity and permeability are determined.A comparison between the predicted permeability and logging data demonstrates that the impedance–permeability relationship yields better results in contrast to those of resistivity–permeability *** relationships are further applied to the seismic interpretation of shale oil reservoir in the target layer,enabling the permeability profile predictions ba.ed on inverse P-wave *** predicted results are evaluated with actual production data,revealing a better agreement between predicted results and logging data and productivity.
