This paper investigates the problem of controlling half-vehicle semi-active suspension system involving a magnetorheological(MR)*** features a hysteretic behavior that is presently captured through the nonlinear Bouc-Wen *** control objective is to regulate well the heave and the pitch motions of the chassis despite the road *** difficulty of the control problem lies in the nonlinearity of the system model,the uncertainty of some of its parameters,and the inaccessibility to measurements of the hysteresis internal state *** Lyapunov control design tools,we design two observers to get online estimates of the hysteresis internal states and a stabilizing adaptive state-feedback *** whole adaptive controller is formally shown to meet the desired control *** theoretical result is confirmed by several simulations demonstrating the supremacy of the latter compared to the skyhook control and passive suspension.

Identification and monitoring of species composition and richness isneeded to formulate effective mangrove management and conservationpriorities. Prior studies have used commercial satellite images which arecost prohibitive for national and global applications. Here, we usedfreely available Landsat satellite data and new indices to discriminatemangrove species in Maros Regency, south sulawesi, Indonesia andsegara Anakan, West Java, Indonesia. We use sensitive algorithm of theprincipal polar spectral (PPs) indices to discriminate mangroves *** Indices were produced from a set of 3-dimensional Landsat 8Operational Land Imager (OLI) spectral indices (PPs Brightness, PPsGreenness, and PPs Wetness) determined by a polar change of theprincipal component axes of a spectral image of reference scene. Wequalitatively compare this set of PPs indices with the set of conventionalRGB multi-bands image composition and conventional NormalizedDifference Vegetation Indices (NDVI) for mangroves speciesdiscrimination. The comparisons indicate that the set of PPs indiceshave the potential for regional and possibly global applications inmangroves species mapping and monitoring.

In this paper,we consider an imperfect production-inventory system which consists of a single manufacturer and a single *** manufacturer delivers the order quantity to the retailer in some unequal-sized *** separate the defective items,the retailer performs an error-free screening process after receiving each delivery from the *** in retailer’s inventory is allowed and completely *** customer demand is influenced by the retail price,advertisement frequency and greening level of the *** centralized model and the decentralized model based on a stackelberg gaming approach are developed to determine optimal pricing,advertising and inventory decisions.A cost-sharing contract between the manufacturer and the retailer is implemented,which enhances the environmental performance,advertisement frequency and profitability of the supply chain *** proposed model is illustrated with a numerical *** analysis for some key parameters is carried out and several managerial insights are also highlighted.

To analyze the relationship between the management of three forest stand plantations and soil quality in the Dimapur district of the Northeastern Himalayan region,India,three forest soil profiles,covered by different species stands,at three depths were tested for 13 physical and chemical *** four of these variables(electric conductivity,bulk density exchangeable Mg and available P)were included in a minimum data set,after using a varimax rotation algorithm in a principal component analysis,and subsequently used to calculate a soil quality index(sQI).Results showed higher sQIs in the surface layers(0–20 cm depth)than in the deeper *** weighed sQI varied significantly(Psidered forest sites,with the lowest value at site *** findings reveal that the approach used here is suitable for preliminary screening of the impact of a forestry species on soil,to aid in species selection and improve soil health for afforestation and reforestation projects.

We present a study of the equilibration process of some nonequilibrium crystalline systems by means of molecular dynamics simulation technique. The nonequilibrium conditions are achieved in the systems by randomly defining velocity components of the constituent atoms. The calculated shannon entropy from the probability distribution of the kinetic energy among the atoms at different instants during the process of equilibration shows oscillation as the system relaxes towards equilibrium. Fourier transformations of these oscillating shannon entropies reveal the existence of Debye frequency of the concerned system.

single-phase diluted magnetic systems Zn1-xFexO have been prepared by chemical route. structural and spectroscopic （UV-Vis and Mossbauer） studies indicate the incorporation of Fe^3＋ ions in the lattice sites. The UV-Vis results point to a systematic increase in the band gap with increasing Fe doping. The room temperature magnetization of Zni-xFexO indicates a paramagnetic behavior which is in accordance with the Mossbauer results, illustrating quadrupolar doublet. At low temperature, the zero-field-cooled （ZFC） magnetization shows a cusp and this temperature increases systematically with decreasing particle size. The weak exchange bias effect manifested by a M-H loop shift is observed for x = 0.03. This shift is accompanied by the enhancement of coercivity. The dc magnetization results suggest the coexis tence of ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic exchange interactions for low doping of Fe, i.e., for x = 0.03.

We discuss the role of atomic coordination in dictating the vibrational characteristics and thermal conductivity in amorphous *** systematic atomistic simulations on amorphous carbon structures at varying mass densities show the significant role played by the ratio of sp2 to sp3 hybridized bonds in dictating the contributions from propagating(phonon-like)and non-propagating vibrational modes and their influence on the overall thermal conductivities of the ***,our results show that as the concentration of sp3-bonded carbon atoms increases,the thermal conductivity can be increased by four fold,which is attributed to enhanced contributions from propagating modes in these amorphous *** results shed more light into the role of atomic coordination on dictating heat transfer mechanisms in amorphous materials,and also provide a deeper understanding of the ability to tune the thermal conductivity of amorphous carbon structures through the control of the local atomic coordination.
