Magnesium and magnesium in-situ composites have significant potential in the application of design and manufacturing for automotive and aerospace industries because of their high specific strength and reduced fuel *** there are many challenges for machining of Mg based alloys and composites because of the high tendency of fire and *** challenges can be minimized through microstructural *** this present study,the machining performances of AZ91 Mg alloy and in-situ hybrid TiC+TiB_(2)reinforced AZ91 metal matrix composite was *** effectβ-Mg_(17)Al_(12)phases and grain refinement with and without in-situ particles on machinability were studied through microstructural engineering via aging and friction stir *** end milling operation was carried out at different cutting speeds ranging from 25 mm/min to 90 mm/min under dry environment by using an AlTiN-coated tungsten carbide *** optimum cutting speed for machining was found to be 75 mm/min based on the surface roughness values of all conditioned *** base material with dendritic microstructure was found to have poor machinability in terms of inadequate surface finish and edge-burrs *** combined effect of in-situ TiC+TiB_(2)particles addition and grain refinement enhanced the machining performance of the material with superior surface finish,negligible edge-burr formation and better tool wear *** influence of in-situ TiC+TiB_(2)particles,β-Mg_(17)Al_(12)phases and grain refinement on machining characteristics are explained based on the tool wear mechanisms,chip behavior and machining induced affected zone.

Comparative study on high temperature deformation behavior and processing maps of Mg-4Zn-1RE-0.5Zr alloy with and without in-situ sub-micron sized TiB2 reinforcement

Mg-4Zn-1RE-0.5Zr (ZE41) Mg alloy is extensively used in the aerospace and automobile *** order to improve the applicability and performance,this alloy was engineered with in-situ Ti B2reinforcement to form Ti B2/ZE41 *** high temperature deformation behavior and manufacturability of the newly developed Ti B2/ZE41 composite and the parent ZE41 Mg alloy were studied via establishing constitutive modeling of flow s.res.,deformation activation energy and processing map over a temperature range of 250℃-450℃ and strain rate range of 0.001 s-1-10 *** predicted flow s.res. behavior of both materials were found to be well consistent with the experimental values.A significant improvement in activation energy was found in Ti B2/ZE41 composite (171.54 k J/mol) as compared to the ZE41 alloy (148.15 k J/mol) due to the dispersed strengthening of in-situ Ti *** processing maps were developed via dynamic material modeling.A wider workability domain and higher peak efficiency (45%) were observed in Ti B2/ZE41 composite as compared to ZE41 alloy (41%).The Dynamic recrystallization is found to be the dominating deformation mechanism for both materials;however,particle stimulated nucleation was found to be an additional mode of deformation in Ti B2/ZE41 *** twinning and s.res. induced cracks were observed in both the materials at low temperature and high strain rate.A narrow range of instability zone is found in the present Ti B2/ZE41 composite among the existing published literature on Mg based *** detailed microstructural characterization was carried out in both workability and instability domains to establish the governing deformation mechanisms.

We propose a new ion-trap geometry to carry out accurate measurements of the quadrupole shifts in the （171）Yb *** trap will minimize the quadrupole shift due to the harmonic component of the confining potential by an order of *** will be useful to reduce the uncertainties in the clock frequency measurements of the 6s 2s（1/2）→4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2）and 6s 2s（1/2）→5d2D（3/2） transitions,from which we can deduce the precise values of the quadrupole moments（0s） of the 4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2） and 5d2D（3/2） ***,it may be able to affirm the validity of the measured 0 value of the4f（13）6s22F（7/2） state,for which three independent theoretical studies defer almost by one order of magnitude from the *** also calculate 0s using the relativistic coupled-cluster（RCC） *** use these 0 values to estimate the quadrupole shift that can be measured in our proposed ion trap experiment.

Determination of Curcumin on Functionalized Carbon Nano Tube Modified Electrode and Probing its Interaction with DNA and Copper Ion

Voltammetry measurements have been employed to investigate the redox behaviour of curcumin in aqueous media using functionalized carbon nanotube(FCNTs)modified glassy carbon electrode(GCE).The electro-catalytic properties of FCNTs modified electrode are superior in comparison to the conventional electrode in generating the electrochemical response from *** oxidation process of the curcumin over the modified substrate is found to be p H dependent and shows 2e^(-)and 2H^(+)proton transfer electrochemical *** oxidation peak is obtained at 0.37 V and the peak current is found to be linear with the varying concentration of *** limit of detection(LOD)and the limit of quantification(LOQ)for the curcumin are obtained as 60 and 200 nmol/L,respectively using the FCNTs modified *** enhanced electrochemical response from the FCNTs modified GCE has been utilized in the evaluation of the chemical and biochemical behaviour of curcumin in presence of transition metal ions(Cu^(2+))and ds DNA,and the observation has been supported by the spectrochemical characteristics of the interactions.

Energy conditions of the f(T,B) gravity dark energy model with the validity of thermodynamics

In this article, the analysis of Tsallis holographic dark energy(which turns into holographic dark energy for a particular choice of positive non-additivity parameter δ) in modified f(T, B) gravity with the validity of thermodynamics and energy conditions for a homogeneous and isotropic FLRW Universe has been studied. The enlightenment of the field equation towards f(T,B)=αT^m+βB^n, made possible by the fact that the model is purely accelerating,corresponds to q=-0.54(Mamon and Das 2017 Eur. Phys.J.C 77 49). The generalized second law of thermodynamics is valid not only for the same temperature inside the horizon, but also for the apparent horizon for a change in temperature. The essential inspiration driving this article is to exhibit the applicability that the holographic dark energy achieved from standard Tsallis holographic dark energy and the components acquired from f(T, B) gravity are identical for the specific bounty of constants. The analysis of energy conditions confirms that the weak energy condition and the null energy condition are fulfilled throughout the expansion, while violation of the strong energy condition validates the accelerated expansion of the *** the expansion, the model becomes a quintessence dominated model. The dominant energy condition is not observed initially when the model is filled with genuine baryonic matter,whereas it appears when the model is in the quintessence dominated era.

A Generalized Cubic Functional Equation

In this paper, we determine the general solution of the functional equation f1 （2x ＋ y）＋ f2（2x - y） = f3（x ＋ y）＋ f4（x - y）＋ f5（x） without assuming any regularity condition on the unknown functions f1,f2,f3, f4, f5 ： R→R. The general solution of this equation is obtained by finding the general solution of the functional equations f（2x ＋ y）＋ f（2x - y） = g（x ＋ y）＋ g（x - y）＋ h（x） and f（2x ＋ y） - f（2x - y） = g（x ＋ y） - g（x - y）. The method used for solving these functional equations is elementary but exploits an important result due to Hosszfi. The solution of this functional equation can also be determined in certain type of groups using two important results due to szekelyhidi.

CaTiO_(3) nano ceramic for NTCR thermistor based sensor application

It is possible to fabricate highly sensitive NTCR(negative temperature coefficient of resistance)thermistor using nano crystalline CaTiO_(3) synthesized by high energy ball *** shaped green pellets were prepared and effects of sintering on the disc pellets were studied as thermistor by sintering the samples at 1000℃,1100℃and 1200℃.The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD),impedance analysis and electrical *** resistivity of the prepared samples varies predictably with temperature:this makes them promising material for temperature *** experimental results prove that nano crystalline CaTiO_(3) ceramic is one kind of thermistor with exponential negative temperature coefficient of resistance in the temperature range of 300-500℃.The samples have the advantages of rapid response,high sensitivity and capability to withstand thermal surges over the temperature range of 300-500℃.resistance-temperature characteristics are described by thermistor equation with thermistor constant around 4003 k to 10795 k and thermal coefficient of resistanceαaround-1%/℃to-13%/℃.The activation energy is in the range of 0.34-0.93 *** observed thermistor parameters are found to be comparable with many of the known thermistor *** suggests that the electrical properties can be adjusted to desirable values by controlling the temperature *** influence of fabrication process of disc thermistor and electrical properties are *** study shows the potential of nano crystalline CaTiO_(3) to act as an NTCR material for thermistor applications.
