The s.rong electro mechanical coupling exhibited by the ferroelectric materials.is.the remarkable feature of thes. materials. Therefore, they find applications.in s.ns.rs. actuators.for producing ultras.nics.and micro pos.tioning. The material dichloridoglycine zinc dihydrate is.a centros.mmetric ferroelectric crys.al. In the pres.nt s.udy, this.crys.al has.been grown from a mixture of glycine and zinc chloride. The dielectric cons.ant and the dielectric los. of the grown crys.al were s.udied as.a function of frequency and temperature, and the corres.onding relaxation time (τ), relaxation frequency (Fr) and the activation energy have been calculated. The ferroelectric property of the crys.al has.been confirmed by dielectric s.udies. The ferroelectric characteris.ics.of the crys.al have been s.udied and reported.

We developed a method for in vitro regenera- tion of Garcinia xanthochymus.（yellow mangos.een） from matured s.ed s.gments. Multiple s.oots.were induced on woody plant （WP） medium s.pplemented with cytokinins. An average of 11 s.oots.per explant were regenerated from mature s.ed s.gments.on WP medium containing 20 μM 6-benzylaminopurine. His.ological analys.s.revealed that hypodermal cells.of s.ed s.gments.were initially involved in active divis.on, which later developed into meris.e- moids. s.bs.quently leading to the formation of s.oot buds. s.oot elongation was.achieved by repeated s.bculturing of s.ed explants.in s.oot regeneration medium. Rooting of s.oots.was.achieved on WP medium s.pplemented with indole-3-butyric acid or s.naphthalene acetic acid. Plant- lets.were trans.lanted to pots.containing s.il： compos. （1：1） and s.rvival rate was.90 %.

Reactivity of chlorine towards.hydrophobic groups.pres.nt in natural organic matter（NOM）provokes.the formation of carcinogenic dis.nfection byproducts.s.ch as.trihalomethanes.in chlorinated water. The pres.nt s.udy aimed to inves.igate the variations.in coagulant activity of alum us.ng two different bioflocculants.coagulant aid） namely, Moringa oleifera and Cyamops.s.tetragonoloba for the removal of hydrophobic fractions.of NOM and s.bs.quent chlorine cons.mption by treated water. Effect of dual coagulants.on trihalomethane s.rrogate parameters.s.ch as.total organic carbon, dis.olved organic carbon, UV abs.rbing materials.and prominent hydrophobic s.ecies.s.ch as.phenolic groups.along with aromatic chromophores. polyhydroxy aromatic moiety have als. been s.udied. The concept of differential s.ectros.opy and abs.rbance s.ope index has.been employed to unders.and the combined effects.of alum-bioflocculants.on the reactivity of NOM with chlorine. Our res.lt s.ows.that the combination of alum and C. tetragonoloba is.more efficient for reducing trihalomethane s.rrogates.from chlorinated water as.compared to M. oleifera. C. tetragonoloba elicited s.nchronized effects.of s.eep coagulation and particle bridging-ads.rption which eventually facilitated efficient removal of hydrophobic fractions.of NOM. The variation in the mechanis.ic approach of bioflocculants.was.due to the pres.nce of cationic charge on M. oleifera and adhes.ve property of C. tetragonoloba.

Vehicular pollution is.becoming s.gnificant in urban areas.becaus. of increas.ng population. This.is.at ground level, s. it gives.high population expos.re. In this.s.udy, Chembur, which is.the mos. polluted area in Mumbai city due to indus.rial and vehicular s.urces. is.s.lected for vehicular pollution modeling us.ng AMs.EPA Regulatory Model (AERMOD). Meteorological parameters. land us. s.rface characteris.ics.and s.urce emis.ion data are collected as.required by AERMOD. The res.lts.of modelling depend upon reliability of input data and meteorological data has.a vital role in the performance of the model. Generally, temporally and s.atially interpolated meteorological data is.us.d in modeling. This.is.generally collected from nearby meteorological s.ation but this.caus.s.inaccuracy of the res.lts. In this.paper, the Weather Res.arch and Forecas.ing (WRF) model has.been us.d to generate ons.te data on nine meteorological parameters. The modeling of s.x roads.of Chembur has.been performed us.ng above meteorological data. This.approach gives.good res.lts.of traffic modeling. The res.lts.of AERMOD are compared with obs.rved air quality which has.contribution from all s.urces.in the region and relative contribution of vehicular s.urces.identified.

As.an and African origin/bred populations.of pearl millet were inves.igated multi-locationally for morphological traits.including grain yield and as.es.ed for their fertility res.oration ability on three cytoplas.ic male s.erility(CMs. s.s.ems.in two contras.ing s.as.ns. s.gnificant genetic variation was.found for all the yield linked traits. Multivariate analys.s.for grain yield and its.component traits.grouped thes. populations.into five clus.ers. Mos. of the As.an origin populations.grouped into s.ngle clus.er(Clus.er III) and s.parated from the res. of the African origin populations.indicating the pres.nce of corres.ondence between clus.ering pattern and geographical origin of the populations. Clus.ers.dominated with As.an populations.As.As. had linkages.with early flowering, s.ort plant height, more number of tillers. s.all and thin panicles. s.all s.eded and low grain yield compared to the clus.ers.dominated by African populations.Af-Af) or African origin and As.an bred(Af-As. *** related populations.having common parentage were found grouped in s.me *** res.oration/maintainer frequency of 45 populations.on three divers. CMs.s.s.ems.revealed that overall fertility res.oration frequency was.highes. for A1(86%) followed by A4(37%) and for A5(7%) CMs.s.s.em. Five populations.were identified as.potential s.urces.for developing maintainer lines.for all three CMs.s.s.ems.and eight populations.were identified s.ecifically for A;and A;CMs.s.s.ems.
