Increased excitatory amino acid transporter 2 levels in basolateral amygdala astrocytes mediate chronic stress–induced anxiety-like behavior

The conventional perception of astrocytes as mere supportive cells within the brain has recently been called into question by empirical evidence, which has revealed their active involvement in regulating brain function and encoding behaviors associated with ***, astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala have been found to play a role in the modulation of anxiety-like behaviors triggered by chronic stress. Nevertheless, the precise molecular mechanisms by which basolateral amygdala astrocytes regulate chronic stress–induced anxiety-like behaviors remain to be fully elucidated. In this study, we found that in a mouse model of anxiety triggered by unpredictable chronic mild stress, the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 was upregulated in the basolateral amygdala. Interestingly, our findings indicate that the targeted knockdown of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically within the basolateral amygdala astrocytes was able to rescue the anxiety-like behavior in mice subjected to stress. Furthermore, we found that the overexpression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, whether achieved through intracranial administration of excitatory amino acid transporter 2agonists or through injection of excitatory amino acid transporter 2-overexpressing viruses with GfaABC1D promoters, evoked anxiety-like behavior in mice. Our single-nucleus RNA sequencing analysis further confirmed that chronic stress induced an upregulation of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 specifically in astrocytes in the basolateral amygdala. Moreover, through in vivo calcium signal recordings, we found that the frequency of calcium activity in the basolateral amygdala of mice subjected to chronic stress was higher compared with normal *** knocking down the expression of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 in the basolateral amygdala, the frequency of calcium activity was not significantly increased, and anxiety-like behavior was ob

Theoretical studies on the Fe-M Interactions and 31p NMR in Fe（CO）3（EtPhPpy）2MX2 （X=NCs, sCN, CI; M=Zn, Cd, Hg）

To study the Fe-M interactions and their effects on 31p NMR, the structures of Fe（CO）3（EtPhPpy）2 1, Fe（CO）3（EtPhPpy）2M（NCs）2 （2： M=Zn, 3： M=Cd, 4： M=Hg） and Fe（CO）3（EtPhPpy）2CdX2 （5： X=C1, 6： X=sCN） were investigated by density functional theory （DFT） PBE0 method. The stabilities s of complexes follow s（2）〉s（3）〉s（4） and s（3）,.~s（6）〉s（5）, indicating that 6 is stable and may be synthesized. The complexes with thiocyanate are more stable than that with chloride in Fe（CO）3（EtPhPpy）2CdX2. The strength I of Fe-M interactions follows I（2）≈I（3）〈I（4）. The Fe-Cd interactions of 3 and 6, which contain thiocyanate, are stronger than that of 5 with chloride. The charge-transfer, which enhances with the increasing of Fe-M interaction strength, comes from Et, Ph, py, CO groups towards P, Fe, and M atoms. Because the delocalization of thiocyanate disperses the charge of M2＋, the charge-transfer of the complexes with thiocyanate is stronger than that with chloride. There is a a-bond between Fe and Hg atoms in 4. However, in binuclear complexes except 4, the Fe-M interactions act as nFe→nM, σP-Fe→nM and σC-Fe→nM delocalization, and the N-M interactions mainly act as nN→nM delocalization. In binuclear complexes, due to the Fe→M interactions, the strong σFe--C→σ＊Fe--p or σFe-Hg→σ＊Fe--I2 delocalization and the charge-transfer, the electron density on P nucleus is increased, and thus upfield 31p chemical shifts are caused （compared with mononuclear complex 1）.

Optimal restructuring strategies under various dynamic factors

Corporate restructuring was identified as a new industrial force that has great impact on economic values and that therefore has become central in daily financial decision making. This article investigates the optimal restructuring strategies under different dynamic factors and their numerous impacts on firm value. The concept of quasi-leverage is introduced and valuation models are built for corporate debt and equity under imperfect market conditions. The model’s input variables include the quasi-leverage and other firm-specific parameters, the output variables include multiple corporate security values. The restruc- turing cost is formulated in the form of exponential function, which allows us to observe the sensitivity of the variation in security values. The unified model and its analytical solution developed in this research allow us to examine the continuous changes of security values by dynamically changing the coupon rates, riskless interest rate, bankruptcy cost, quasi-leverage, personal tax rate, corporate taxes rate, transaction cost, firm risk, etc., so that the solutions provide useful guidance for financing and restructuring decisions.

Evolution of Transitional Institutions for Urban Land Redevelopment in China——Case in Guangzhou

Building effective institutions for markets is a great challenge to China's transitional economy. China's experience in establishing urban land markets is characterized by trial and error and the gradual evolution of transitional institutions. Based on archive data and interviews in a neighborhood(Jinhuajie) of Guangzhou,this research reveals that China's land redevelopment in the past two decades has followed an approach of partial and gradual reform,which was structured by the gradual evolution of transitional institutions to speed up local land redevelopment within the existing property rights system. Transitional institutions,including highly compensated residents' land use rights,in-kind land lease payment,flexible control on development rights of developers and short-term actual ownership of work units,are generated by the local government sequentially to dispel existing land use rights of different land users and make further development be able to follow market mechanisms.

First principles study of Fenton reaction catalyzed by FeOCl:reaction mechanism and location of active site

Fe-based solid catalysts in promoting Fenton reaction to generate ·OH radical has drawn much attention,and interestingly,FeOCl was reported to have superior activity compared with the traditional Fe2 O3 ***,the mechanism of Fenton reaction on FeOCl and the origin of high activity remain ***,by virtue of DFT+ U calculations,the H2 O2 decomposition and conversion mechanism on FeOCl(100)surface were systematically *** is found that on clean FeOCl(100)surface,the exposed[Fe^3+-Fe^3+]sites can hardly break O-O bond of H2 O2 into OH groups,but instead H2 O2 tends to dehydrogenate by the surface lattice O,resulting in a series of side reactions and final conversion into O2,while the left H atoms gradually saturate the surface lattice O and reduce Fe^3+ into Fe^2+.On fully H-covered FeOCl(100),H2O2 can efficiently dissociate at[Fe^2+-Fe^2+]sites into two OH,but OH binds with Fe^2+ so strongly that it cannot desorb as OH radical as easily as that on Fe^3+.Interestingly,FeOCl(100)tends to be partially protonated in the real acid solution,which,along with H2 O2 dehydrogenation,results in the formation of active unit [Fe^2+-Fe^3+].On[Fe^2+-Fe^3+]unit,H2 O2 can easily break its O-O bond and OH at Fe3+ can desorb as OH radical,while the other OH at Fe^2+ couples with the surface H into H2O and finish the catalytic *** comparison,Fe2 O3(012)cannot provide enough [Fe^2+-Fe^3+] active units due to the relative difficulty in H2 O2 dehydrogenation,which accounts for its inferior catalytic efficiency for Fenton reaction.

Unimodality of Independence Polynomials of the Cycle Cover Product of Graphs
