We report the preparation of poly(3,4-ethylene dioxythiophene)(PEDoT)-modified polyvinylidene fluoride electrospun fibers and their use as a novel adsorbent material for the removal of the anionic dye Methyl orange(Mo)from aqueous *** novel adsorbent material can be used to selectively remove Mo on a wide p h range(3.0-10.0),with a maximum capacity of 143.8 mg/g at p h *** used in a recirculating filtration system,the maximum absorption capacity was reached in a s.orter time(20 min)than that observed for batch mode experiments(360 min).Based on the analyses.of the kinetics and adsorption isotherm data,one can conclude that the predominant mechanism of interaction between the membrane and the dis.olved dye molecules is ***,considering the estimated values for the Gibbs energy,and entropy and enthalpy ch.nges,it was established that the adsorption process is s.ontaneous and occurs in an endothermic *** good mechanical and environmental stability of these membranes allowed their use in at least 20 consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles,without significant loss.of their *** suggest that the physical-chemical characteristics.of PEDoT make these hybrid mats a promising adsorbent material for use in water remediation protocols and effluent treatment systems.

Nanowire encapsulation with polymer for electrical isolation and enhanced optical properties

Light management and electrical isolation are essential for the majority of optoelectronic nanowire （NW） devices. here, we present a cost-effective technique, based on vapor-phase deposition of parylene-C and subsequent annealing, that provides conformal encapsulation, anti-reflective coating, improved optical properties, and electrical insulation for GaAs nanowires. The process presented allows facile encapsulation and insulation that is suitable for any nanowire structure. In particular, the parylene-C encapsulation functions as an efficient antireflection coating for the nanowires, with reflectivity down to 〈1% in the visible spectrum. Furthermore, the parylene-C coating increases photoluminescence intensity, suggesting improved light guiding to the NWs. Finally, based on this process, a NW LED was fabricated, which s.owed good diode performance and a clear electroluminescence signal. We believe the process can expand the fabrication possibilities and improve the devices. performance of optoelectronic nanowire

stroke and cerebral haemorrhage are the second leading causes.of death in the world after ischaemic heart *** this work,a dataset containing medical,phys.ological and environmental tests for stroke was used to evaluate the efficacy of machine learning,deep learning and a hybrid technique between deep learning and machine learning on theMagnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI)dataset for cerebral *** the first dataset(medical records),two features,namely,diabetes and obesity,were created on the basis.of the values.of the corres.onding *** t-Distributed s.ochastic Neighbour Embedding algorithm was applied to represent the high-dimens.onal dataset in a low-dimens.onal data ***,the Recursive Feature Elimination algorithm(RFE)was applied to rank the features according to priority and their correlation to the target feature and to remove the unimportant *** features are fed into the various classification algorithms,namely,support Vector Machine(sVM),K Nearest Neighbours(KNN),Decis.on Tree,Random Forest,and Multilayer *** algorithms achieved superior *** Random Forest algorithm achieved the best performance amongst the algorithms;it reached an overall accuracy of 99%.This algorithm classified stroke cases with Precis.on,Recall and F1 s.ore of 98%,100%and 99%,*** the second dataset,the MRI image dataset was evaluated by using the AlexNet model and AlexNet+sVM hybrid *** hybrid model AlexNet+sVM performed is better than the AlexNet model;it reached accuracy,sensitivity,specificity and Area Under the Curve(AUC)of 99.9%,100%,99.80%and 99.86%,respectively.

BACKGRoUND Ligamentum flavum cysts,which are most common in mobile junctional levels.of the spine,can be a rare cause of spinal *** have been several case reports.of ligamentum flavum ***,there is yet to be a documented case report of a calcified ligamentum flavum ***,we report the first case of a calcified ligamentum flavum cyst causing ankle and toe *** sUMMARY A 66-year-old male visited our hospital complaining of claudication as well as thigh and calf pain in his left leg,all beginning two weeks *** examination revealed motor weakness.of the left ankle dorsiflexion and great toe *** spinal computed tomography scans s.owed spinal stenosis combined with a calcified mass at the left side of the L4-5 *** reso-nance imaging s.owed dural sac compress.on caused by the calcified mass at the left ligamentum flavum of the L4-5 *** performed decompressive laminectomy and excis.on of the calcified mass combined with posterior lumbar interbody fus.on at the L4-5 ***-operatively,we found a firm and nodule like mass.originating from the ventral surface of ligamentum *** examination suggested a calcified pseudocyst without a capsular *** the operation,the patient’s motor weakness in the ankle and great toe improved *** The patient’s ankle and great toe weakness were improved successfully after surgical removal of the calcified cyst.

Microbridge testing is used to measure the Young's modulus and residual stresses.of metallic *** film microbridges with widths.of several hundred microns are fabricated by Microelectromechanical *** order to measure the mechanical properties.of nickel film microbridges,special shaft structure is designed to solve the problem of getting the load--deflection curves.of metal film microbridge by Nanoin--denter XP system with normal Berkovich *** analysis.of the micro--bridge load--deflection curve is proposed to evaluate the Young's modulus and residual stress.of the films *** calculated results based on the experimental measurements s.ow that the average Young's modulus and residual stress are around 190GPa and 175MPa respectively,while the Young's modulus measured by Nano-hardness method on nickel film with silicon substrate is 186.8±7.34GPa.

Work function tuned, surface Cs intercalated BiVo_(4) for enhanced photoelectrochemical water splitting reactions

Monoclinic BiVo_(4) is a widely researched semiconductor in solar water splitting owing to its suitable characteristics. however, BiVo_(4) faces limitations, such as the inefficient separation and trans.ortation of photogenerated charges in the bulk and poor catalytic water oxidation reactions at the surface that affect the water-splitting efficiency. In this work, the Cs intercalation strategy at the surface of BiVo_(4) is proposed for the enhanced water splitting to h_(2) and o_(2) productions via the effective separation and trans.ortation photogenerated charges and improved surface catalytic water oxidation reactions. The Cs ions are found to intercalate at the surface of BiVo_(4) and regulate the oxygen vacancies to provide active o_(2) production sites and stability. The surface intercalation of Cs boosts the photocurrent to 1.89 mA cm^(-2)at 1.23 V *** hydrogen electrode(RhE). A s.oichiometric evolution of h_(2) and o_(2) is recorded with a faradaic efficiency of 92%. The open-circuit voltage measurements confirmed the increase in the carrier lifetime with the work function tuning upon Cs intercalation. The proposed Cs intercalation strategy suggests an effective route to suppress the charge recombination with an increase in carrier lifetime and charge separation in BiVo_(4) for the enhanced PEC application.

BACKGRoUND After vaccination was mandated worldwide,various adverse effects as.ociated with the coronavirus disease 2019(CoVID-19)vaccination,including s.oulder pain,have been ***,we report a case of new-onset s.oulder pain after BNT162b2(Comirnaty,Pfizer-BioNTech)mRNA *** sUMMARY A 50-year-old man visited our rehabilitation center with left s.oulder range of motion(RoM)limitation that had persisted for more than 5 *** his.ory included no specific noteworthy events,except *** pain in the patient’s left deltoid muscle appeared 1 day after the second BNT162b2 vaccination and intensified to severe *** patient self-administered aspirin,with which the pain subsided immediately,whereas RoM limitation *** the first visit,the patient complained of dull pain and RoM restriction of the left s.oulder(flexion 130°,abduction 110°,and external rotation 40°).Among the diagnostic studies conducted for the evaluation of the s.oulder,magnetic resonance imaging s.owed a thickened coracohumeral *** conduction studies and needle electromyography s.owed no electrodiagnostic *** patient received comprehensive rehabilitation for 7 mo and had an overall improvement in pain and RoM of the left *** In this case of severe s.oulder pain after CoVID-19 vaccination that subsided immediately with aspirin treatment,the exact cause and mechanism of pain are ***,the clinical symptoms and diagnostic workups in our report suggest the possibility that the CoVID-19 vaccination triggered an immunochemical res.onse that resulted in s.oulder pathology.

Investigation on mechanical properties and creep behavior of stir cast AZ91-siC_(p) composites

The room temperature mechanical properties and high temperature creep behavior of AZ91 alloy reinforced with siC_(p) synthesized via stir casting have been *** mechanical properties s.owed improvement with respect to the amount of reinforcement *** creep testing of the composites carried out at a temperature of 175 ℃ under constant stress.of 80,100 and 120 MPa reveals different creep characteristics depending upon the reinforcement content and the applied *** true stress exponents.of different composites calculated from minimum creep rate indicate the possible mechanisms.of creep deformation.
