The colorful,nutrient-rich peels of citrus fruits have long been valued for their tangy flavors and aromatic *** oils are produced and stored in special secretory structures called oil glands,which are prevalent across citrus varieties(Knight et al.,2001).Oil glands serve as"reservoirs"for diverse metabolites such as terpenes and flavonoids that give citrus fruits their characteristic aroma(Mahato et al.,2019;Voo et al.,2012;Xian et al.,2022).Many of these compounds also act as chemical defenses against pest and pathogens(Fisher and Phillips,2008).

The present study deals with the Early Permian floral diversity,palaeoenvironment,palaeoclimate and depositional setting using a multiproxy approach that includes morphotaxonomy,palynology,and organic geochemistry of Karo OCM(Open Cast Mine),East Bokaro Coalfield,Damodar Gondwana Basin,*** Permian sediments of Peninsular India are widely regarded as fluvial,along with some marine *** macroplant fossil assemblage exhibits the presence of Glossopteridales,comprising Glossopteris,Gangamopteris,and Vertebraria,as well as Coniferales,which includes *** palynological assemblage encompasses the dominance of the striate bisaccate pollen Faunipollenites *** the subdominance of the non-striate bisaccate pollen scheuringipollenites *** glossopterid *** megafloral and palynofloral assemblage confirms the biostratigraphical age to be Late Barakar palynoflora of Kungurian *** studied morphological characteristics,including small to large Glossopteris leaves exhibiting a lanceolate shape,acute apices,and acute cuneate or tapering bases,as well as entire margins with narrower lamina and narrow meshes,suggest the existence of a dense forest with the prevalence of a warm and humid climate during their *** organic geochemical characterization based on functional group and biomarker analyses reveals the diagenetic effects on organic *** symmetric(~2865-2855 cm^(-1))and asymmetric stretching(~2930-2910 cm^(-1))peaks are identifiable in coal samples,whereas they are absent in carbonaceous *** A-factor vs.C-factor plot suggests that the kerogen type is type Ⅲ,which can generate mainly gaseous *** vitrinite reflectance studies(R_(r) av.1.1%)show increased maturity of the samples,which is supported by the n-alkane distribution pattern and the absence of hopane *** Indian floral assemblages in contemporary of southern Gondwana continents reveal a stronger inclination/affinity with th

Objective:To evaluate the antimalarial activity of noscapine against Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 strain(Pf3D7),its clinical isolate(Pf140/ss),and Plasmodium berghei AnKA(PbA).Methods:Using ring-stage survival assay,phenotypic assessments,and sYBR-green-based fluorescence assay,the antimalarial activities of noscapine were assessed compared with dihydroartemisinin(DHA)in in vivo and in vitro *** addition,hemolysis and cytotoxicity tests were carried out to evaluate its ***-PCR assay was also conducted to determine the effect of noscapine on papain-like cysteine protease Plasmodium falciparum falcipain-2(PfFP-2).Results:The antimalarial efficacy of noscapine against Pf3D7 and Pf140/ss was comparable to DHA,with IC50 values of(7.68±0.88)and(5.57±0.74)nM/mL,respectively,and>95%inhibition of PbA infected *** also showed a safe profile,as evidenced by low hemolysis and cytotoxicity even at high ***,PfFP-2 expression was significantly inhibited in both noscapine-treated Pf3D7 and Pf140/ss(Pnclusions:noscapine has antimalarial properties comparable to standard antimalarial DHA with better safety profiles,which may be further explored as a therapeutic candidate for the treatment of malaria.

substantial nO_(x) emission mitigation is crucial for the synergistic reduction of particulate matter and ozone(O_(3))pollution in *** traditional air quality model does not consider heterogeneous HOnO chemistry,leading to uncertainties in estimating the benefits of nO_(x) *** studies have shown that the parameterization of heterogeneous HOnO formation increases both the simulated value of sulfate–nitrate–ammonium(snA)and that of O_(3),thus adding the heterogeneous reactions of HOnO into air quality models inevitably leads to changes in the estimated benefits of nO_(x) *** we investigated the changes in snA and O_(3)concentrations from nO_(x) emission reduction before and after adding heterogeneous HOnO reactions in the Community Multi-scale Air Quality(CMAQ)*** heterogeneous HOnO reactions in the simulation improved the benefits of nO_(x) reduction in terms of snA control in *** 80%nO_(x) reduction,the reduction in snA increased from 36.9%without considering heterogeneous HOnO reactions to 42.8%with heterogeneous HOnO *** reduction in the maximum daily 8h average(MDA8)O_(3)in summer caused by nO_(x) reduction increased slightly from 4.7%to 5.2%after adding heterogeneous HOnO *** results in this study highlight the enhanced effectiveness of nO_(x) controls for the reduction of snA and O_(3)after considering heterogeneous HOnO formation in a complex chemical ambient,demonstrating the importance of nO_(x) controls in reducing PM2.5 and O_(3)pollution in China.

Cold Metal Transfer-Based Wire Arc Directed Energy Deposition(CMT-WA-DED)presents a promising avenue for the rapid fabrication of components crucial to automotive,shipbuilding,and aerospace ***,the susceptibility to fatigue of CMT-WA-DED-produced AZ31 Mg alloy components has impeded their widespread adoption for critical load-bearing *** this study,a comprehensive investigation into the fatigue behaviour of WA-DED-fabricated AZ31 Mg alloy has been carried out and compared to commercially available wrought AZ31 *** findings indicate that the as-deposited parts exhibit a lower fatigue life than wrought Mg alloy,primarily due to poor surface finish,tensile residual stress,porosity,and coarse grain microstructure inherent in the WA-DED *** Plasticity Burnishing(LPB)treatment is applied to mitigate these issues,which induce significant plastic deformation on the *** treatment resulted in a remarkable improvement of fatigue life by 42%,accompanied by a reduction in surface roughness,grain refinement and enhancement of compressive residual stress ***,during cyclic deformation,WA-DED specimens exhibited higher plasticity and dislocation density compared to both wrought and WA-DED+LPB specimens.A higher fraction of Low Angle Grain Boundaries(LAGBs)in WA-DED specimens contributed to multiple crack initiation sites and convoluted crack paths,ultimately leading to premature *** contrast,wrought and WA-DED+LPB specimens displayed a higher percentage of High Angle Grain Boundaries(HAGBs),which hindered dislocation movement and resulted in fewer crack initiation sites and less complex crack paths,thereby extending fatigue *** findings underscore the effectiveness of LPB as a post-processing technique to enhance the fatigue performance of WA-DED-fabricated AZ31 Mg alloy *** study highlights the importance of LPB surface treatment on AZ31 Mg components produced by CMT-WA-DED to remove surface d

In this contribution,we reply to comments made by Tkach et *** our publication *** 2023;9:*** main interest of our work is to synthesize a lead-free material,srTi_(2)O_(5)(sTO),and then utilize it in the formation of composites and finally design the piezoelectric nanogenerator(PEnG)for self-powered sensor *** authors have observed the presence of piezoelectric voltage and current output from the *** authors humbly indicate that the PEnG devices were poled using a DC poling setup as conditions mentioned in *** 2023;9:609(Panda et al.,2023)[1].The doping of sTO into the PDMs increased from 2% to 20%(in mass).In this process,the piezoelectric output of the PEnG device was observed to be highest for 15%(in mass)sTO-PDMs ***,we agree with the comment raised by Tkach et al.,and further we have addressed the issues in a step-by-step response as follows.

Uncertainty is an important factor that needs to be considered while analyzing the performance of any engineering *** order to quantify uncertainty,fuzzy set theory is frequently used by most of researchers,including energy system *** to the classical reliability theory,component lifetimes have crisp parameters,but due to uncertainty and inaccuracy in data,it is sometimes very difficult to determine the exact values of these parameters in real-world *** overcome this difficulty in the current research,failure and repair rates were taken as triangular fuzzy numbers to determine the fuzzy availability of a system undergoing calendar-based periodic inspection subject to multiple failure modes(FMs).It was assumed that each component in the system had an exponential failure rate and repair rate with fuzzy *** FMs were explicitly taken into account when a functional state of the system was *** FM had a random failure *** the occurrence of any failure,a random time was selected for the relevant corrective repair *** proposed research was studied for one of the major sources of green energy,namely a wind turbine system wherein all the derived propositions have been implemented on it.
