Ear.y syphilis Pr.senting as Thickened Penile Plaques With an Embedded r.cur.ent Ulcer.(chancr. r.dux): A case r.por.

Intr.duction: The manifestations of syphilis ar. var.ed, and ser.logy can establish the diagnosis ear.y, especially in r.r. cases. We r.por. a case of chancr. r.dux (a r.r. r.cur.ence of pr.mar. syphilis), which was embedded within a s.c.ndar. syphilitic penile skin plaque. Ther. wer. missed oppor.unities at ear.ier.diagnosis as ser.logy for.syphilis was not or.er.d. case pr.sentation: A 56-year.old man pr.sented with thickened penile plaques for.five months. He r.por.ed a small penile ulcer.appr.ximately one month pr.or. Ther. was no histor. of other.skin lesions or.r.sh. However. clinically ther. was an asymptomatic, indur.ted ulcer.embedded within a plaque which was swab-positive for.syphilis by Pcr. A punch biopsy of a plaque was spir.chaete-positive using an immunoper.xidase stain. The patient's lesions r.solved thr.e weeks after.tr.atment with intr.muscular.benzathine penicillin. Discussion: Uncommonly r.por.ed even in the pr.antibiotic er., chancr. r.dux is now r.r.. The ulcer.usually r.cur. at or.near.the site of the or.ginal chancr., and has similar.mor.hological featur.s. The skin lesions of s.c.ndar. syphilis.c.n exhibit r.mar.able mor.hological var.ety. The most common skin manifestation, a gener.lized macular.r.sh, was not pr.sent at any time in this.c.se. r.ther. ther. wer. only a couple of nonspecific penile plaques. If biopsy is per.or.ed, histologic findings ar. var.able, though typically the inflammator. infiltr.te includes plasma cells. A special immunoper.xidase stain can highlight spir.chaetes in biopsy s.c.ions. conclusion: This.c.se highlights the impor.ance of consider.ng syphilis in the differ.ntial diagnosis of per.istent, atypical penile lesions and under.cor.s the need for.appr.pr.ate ser.logical testing in s.c. instances. copyr.ght © 2023 Hospital for.skin Diseases (Institute of Der.atology),

We investigated ^(50,52-54)cr.induced fusion r.actions for.the synthesis of the super.eavy element in the 104≤Z≤122 *** cr.ss s.c.ions pr.duced in this investigation using ^(54)cr.pr.jectiles wer. compar.d with those obtained in pr.or.*** estimated cr.ss s.c.ions fr.m this analysis ar. consistent with the findings of pr.or.*** the cur.ent study,the pr.dicted cr.ss s.c.ion was found to be 42fb at 236 MeV for.^(53)cr.^(243)Am,23.2 fb at 236 MeV for.^(54)cr.^(247)cm,95.6 fb at 240 MeV for.^(53)cr.248bk,and 1.33 fb at 242 MeV for.^(53)cr.***,these pr.jected cr.ss s.c.ions with excitation ener.y and beam ener.y will be useful in futur. cr.induced fusion r.action investigations.

In this wor.,we investigate a static and spher.cally symmetr.c bar.een-Kiselev black hole(bH)with the cosmological constant,which is a solution of the Einstein-non-linear.Maxwell field *** compute the quasinor.al fr.quencies for.the bar.een-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant due to electr.magnetic and gr.vitational *** var.ing the bH par.meter.,we discuss the behavior.of both r.al and imaginar. par.s of the bH quasinor.al fr.quencies and compar. these fr.quencies with the r.issner.Nor.str.m-de sitter.bH sur.ounded by quintessence(r.-dsQ).Inter.stingly,it is shown that the r.sponses of the bar.een-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant and the r.-dsQ under.electr.magnetic per.ur.ations ar. differ.nt when the char.e par.meter.q,the state par.meter.w and the nor.alization factor.c ar. var.ed;however.for.the gr.vitational per.ur.ations,the r.sponses of the bar.een-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant and the r.-dsQ ar. differ.nt only when the char.e par.meter.q is ***,compar.d with the gr.vitational per.ur.ations,the electr.magnetic per.ur.ations.c.n be used to under.tand nonlinear.and linear.electr.magnetic fields in cur.ed spacetime *** inter.sting obser.ation is that,due to the pr.sence of Kiselev quintessence,the electr.magnetic per.ur.ations ar.und the bar.een-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant damps faster.and oscillates slowly;for.the gr.vitational per.ur.ations,the quasinor.al mode decays slowly and oscillates *** also study the r.flection and tr.nsmission coefficients along with the absor.tion cr.ss s.c.ion in the bar.een-Kiselev bH with the cosmological constant;it is shown that the tr.nsmission coefficients will incr.ase due to the pr.sence of Kiselev quintessence.

We study r.diative p^(15)N captur. on the gr.und state of ^(16)O at stellar.ener.ies within the fr.mewor. of a modified potential cluster.model(MPcM)with for.idden states,including low-lying *** investigation of the ^(15)N(p,γ0)^(16)O r.action includes the consider.tion of ^(3)s_(1) r.sonances due to E1 tr.nsitions and the contr.bution of the ^(3)P_(1) scatter.ng wave in the p+^(15)N channel due to the ^(3)P_(1)→^(3)P_(0)M1 *** calculated the astr.phys.c.l low-ener.y s-factor.and the extr.polated s(0)tur.ed out to be within 34.7−40.4 keV·*** impor.ant r.le of the asymptotic constant(Ac)for.the ^(15)N(p,γ0)16O pr.cess with inter.er.ng ^(3)s_(1)(312)and ^(3)s_(1)(962)r.sonances is elucidated.A compar.son of our.calculation for.the s-factor.with existing exper.mental and theor.tical data is addr.ssed,and a r.asonable agr.ement is *** r.action r.te is.c.lculated and compar.d with the existing *** has negligible dependence on the var.ation of Ac but shows a str.ng impact of the inter.er.nce of ^(3)s_(1)(312)and ^(3)s_(1)(962)r.sonances in r.fer.nce to the cNO Gamow windows,especially at low *** estimate the contr.bution of cascade tr.nsitions to the r.action r.te based on the exclusive exper.mental data fr.m ***.c.85,065810(2012).The r.action r.te enhancement due to the cascade tr.nsitions is obser.ed fr.m T_(9)>0.3 and r.aches the maximum factor.1.3 at T_(9)=*** pr.sent the Gamow ener.y window and a compar.son of r.tes for.r.diative pr.ton captur. r.actions ^(12)N(p,γ)^(13)O,^(13)N(p,γ)^(14)O,^(14)N(p,γ)^(15)O,and ^(15)N(p,γ)^(16)O obtained in the fr.mewor. of the MPcM and pr.vide the temper.tur. windows,pr.valence,and significance of each pr.cess.

Lanka have gr.at potential to contr.bute to the United Nations' sustainable Development Goals (sDGs). The island aims to achieve 70% electr.city gener.tion fr.m r.newable ener.y sour.es by 2030 (within the tar.et of 40% utilization of r.newable ener.y sour.es for.the entir. ener.y gener.tion of the countr. by 2030). The power.s.c.or.has to invest Us$11 billion fr.m 2023 to 2030 to contr.bute to r.aching this tar.et. This.c.mmentar. aims to pr.vide a cr.tical per.pective on the r.commendations of the r.por. fr.m the National science and Technology commission's 9th biennial confer.nce in 2023 on science and technology, the sub-thematic technical r.por. on clean ener.y, ener.y stor.ge and gr.en hydr.gen in line with the sDGs in the sr. Lankan context. The technical r.por. pr.vides insightful r.commendations for.sr. Lanka's ener.y s.c.or.under.thr.e main s.c.ions: r.newable ener.y, ener.y stor.ge and gr.en hydr.gen.
