Based on the concentration of Malathion used in the field, we evaluated the genotoxic potential of low concentrations of this insecticide on meristematic and F1 cells of Allium cepa and on rat hepatoma tissue culture（HTC cells）. In the A. cepa, chromosomal aberrations（CAs）, micronuclei（MN）, and mitotic index（MI） were evaluated by exposing the cells at 1.5,0.75, 0.37, and 0.18 mg/m L of Malathion for 24 and 48 hr of exposure and 48 hr of recovery time. The results showed that all concentrations were genotoxic to A. cepa cells. However,the analysis of the MI has showed non-relevant effects. Chromosomal bridges were the CA more frequently induced, indicating the clastogenic action of Malathion. After the recovery period, the higher concentrations continued to induce genotoxic effects, unlike the observed for the lowest concentrations tested. In HTC cells, the genotoxicity of Malathion was evaluated by the MN test and the comet assay by exposing the cells at 0.09, 0.009, and0.0009 mg/5 m L culture medium, for 24 hr of exposure. In the comet assay, all the concentrations induced genotoxicity in the HTC cells. In the MN test, no significant induction of MN was observed. The genotoxicity induced by the low concentrations of Malathion presented in this work highlights the importance of studying the effects of low concentrations of this pesticide and demonstrates the efficiency of these two test systems for the detection of genetic damage promoted by Malathion.

With the COVID-19 pandemic,it was necessary to carry out public health measures,including the adoption of remote teaching and modification of the educational practices and experiences of parents and ***,the objective of this study was to conduct a systematic review and analyze the impact of the pandemic on the learning of schoolchildren in the early years of literacy,according to the experiences and practices of parents and *** systematic review is based on the PRIsMA method(Preferred Reporting Items for systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses)and the guiding questions of the PICO strategy(Population,Intervention,Comparison,Outcome).The PubMed,LILACs,scopus,sciELO,Embase,and Web of science databases were *** selection criteria involved the descriptors elementary school AND COVID-19,elementary school AND pandemic,and elementary school AND sARs-CoV-2.A total of 130 studies were selected,and after applying the criteria,only six studies were *** studies used interviews and questionnaires aimed at parents,teachers,and students and were carried out in various countries:one in saudi Arabia,two in Indonesia,one in the United states of America,one in Canada,and one in *** studies were classified as Evidence Level 4(clinical outcome studies).As common points,most parents were stressed,overloaded,and unprepared to support their children during remote *** also mentioned difficulties,such as the lack of support and training,which affected their *** studies should be carried out to verify the educational and social impacts resulting from remote teaching.

Aim:to analyze the significance of RTI Tier 2 metaphonological and alphabetic principle program for Brazilian schoolchildren at risk for ***:a bibliographic review was carried out in the scielo and Pubmed databases using the descriptors“intervention studies”,“reading”,“dyslexia”,and“learning”in Portuguese and English for the elaboration of RTI Tier 2 metaphonological and alphabetic principle program for schoolchildren at risk for *** program was designed based on the selection of strategies for metaphonological skills,knowledge of the alphabet,and grapheme-phoneme correspondence described in national and international *** stimuli(real words)and visual stimuli(pictures)were selected to be used in the intervention program *** stimuli were selected from a word bank according to length,regularity,and *** intervention program designed was composed of the following skills:letter-sound knowledge,syllable knowledge,syllabic segmentation,phonemic segmentation,syllabic addition,phonemic addition,syllabic subtraction,phonemic subtraction,syllabic substitution,phonemic substitution,syllabic combination,and phonemic *** program was structured with collective strategies and was applied in small groups of four to five schoolchildren aged six years and 11 months to seven years and 11 months in 50-minute ***:The results revealed that there was a change in the response pattern,showing better performance in the skills of the Early Identification of Reading Problems Protocol,demonstrating significance and positive change in post-testing situations when compared to ***:the program developed in this study proved to be effective and,in this way,it can be used as an intervention instrument based on scientific evidence that helps in the acquisition of skills necessary for the development of reading.

Objectives:Compare and relate the performance of schoolchildren with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD)and with good academic performance in the visual-motor perceptual and reading ***:Twenty schoolchildren,of both genders,aged between nine and 11 years old,participated in this *** were divided into two groups:Group I(GI):comprising 10 students diagnosed with ADHD;and Group II(GII):10 students with good academic performance paired according to gender,age group,and educational level with *** students were submitted to the Developmental Test of Visual Perception(DTVP 3)and Reading Processes Assessment Protocol(PROLEC).Results:There was lower performance of GI compared to GII in the subtests of copying,eye-hand coordination,and figure-ground in the standard score of general visual perception and visual-motor *** presented lower performance in all reading processes except for the punctuation marks *** was a statistically significant difference in the comparison between GI and GII regarding the classification of reading processes.A relationship was identified between the reading and visual perception subtests in the GI students,demonstrating a relationship between the visual perceptual motor skills and the reading processes in the group of students with ***:schoolchildren with ADHD performed less well than their peers with good academic performance in the visual-motor perceptual and reading skills;such that the worse their performance in the visual-motor perceptual processes,the worse their performance in the reading processes.

Background Neurodevelopmental disorders are a heterogeneous group of conditions that manifest as delays or deviations in the acquisition of expected developmental milestones and behavioral *** spectrum disorder(AsD)is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by deficits in communication and social interaction and by repetitive and restricted patterns of behavior,interests and *** aim of this review is to discuss the clinical features of the differential diagnoses of AsD that are prevalent among preschoolers,focusing on their similarities and *** sources The international medical literature search was conducted using PubMed and was revised regarding the subject using single and/or combined keywords as follows:differential diagnosis,preschoolers,diagnostic challenge,attention deficit hyperactivity disorder,intellectual disability,high abilities/giftedness,childhood apraxia of speech,social communication disorder,Landau–Kleffner syndrome,stereotyped movement disorder and excessive screen *** We describe conditions commonly found in clinical practice,taking AsD as a *** addressed converging and divergent aspects of behavior,cognition,communication,language,speech,socialization,and stereotypes for the diagnosis of AsD and other disorders identified as potential differential or comorbid *** The ranking and characterization of symptoms appear to be essential for better understanding the underlying common ground between children with developmental disorders and children with AsD,thus properly diagnosing and directing social,professional,or medication *** detailed discussion adds to the literature since,although AsD differential diagnoses are frequently mentioned and discussed in textbooks and journal articles,they rarely occupy a prominent place as we aimed herein.

This study aimed to explore the performance of the perceptual-visuomotor skills and the production of handwriting in children with Learning Disabilities.A total of 56 children participated,being a convenience sample,of both sexes,average age of eight years old,from 3rd to 5th grade level of Elementary *** children were divided into the following groups:GI(28 children diagnosed with Learning Disabilities);GII(28 children with good academic performance,paired with GI in relation to chronological age and sex).They were evaluated individually in dysgraphic scale,visual perception development test,and fine motor *** analysis was *** was a significant difference between GI and GII for the subtests of eye-hand coordination,copying,visual closure,fine motor precision,and fine manual control *** had difference between the groups for handwriting performance in descending and/or ascending subtests,irregularity of dimension,poor forms,and total score of Dysgraphia *** results presented in this study indicate that children with Learning Disabilities can manifest significant visomotor impairment and deficit in legibility and handwriting quality,causing failures in the elaboration of sensorimotor plans that,added to the intrinsic deficit of long-term memory,result in persistent academic difficulties.

Perivascular epithelioid cell tumor(PEComa) is a rare mesenchymal neoplasia and currently well recognized as a distinct entity with characteristic morphological,immunohistochemical and molecular *** report a case of PEComa arising in the antrum of a 71-year-old female with *** tumor,located predominantly in the submucosa as a well delimited nodule,measured 3.0 cm in diameter and was completely resected,with no evidence of the disease ***,it was composed predominantly of eosinophilic epithelioid cells arranged in small nests commonly related to variably sized vessels,with abundant extracellular material,moderate nuclear variation and discrete mitotic *** necrosis,angiolymphatic invasion or perineural infil-tration was *** cells were uniformly positive for vimentin,smooth muscle actin,desmin and melan *** unusual,PEComa should be considered in the differential diagnosis of gastric neoplasia with characteristic epithelioid and oncocytic features and prominent vasculature.
