We examine the reflection and transmission phenomena of quasi-longitudinal plane(QP)waves in an AlN-ZnO laminated composite *** structure is designed under the influence of the initial stresses in which one carrier piezoelectric semiconductor(PsC)half-space is in welded contact with another PsC *** secular equations in the transversely isotropic PsC material are derived from the general dynamic equation,taking the initial stresses into *** is shown that the incident quasi-longitudinal wave(QP-mode)at the interface generates four types of reflected and transmitted waves,namely,QP wave,quasi-transverse(QsV)wave,electric-acoustic(EA)wave,and carrier plane(CP)*** algebraic equations are obtained by imposing the boundary conditions on the common interface of the laminated *** and transmission coefficients of waves are obtained by implementing Cramer’s *** impacts of the initial stresses and exterior electric biasing field on the reflection and transmission coefficients of waves are investigated and presented graphically.

The frequency of the Love-type surface waves in a bedded structure con- sisting of a porous piezoelectric (PP) medium and a functionally graded material (FGM) substrate is approximated. The FGM layer is assumed to have a constant initial stress. The Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation technique is used for the wave solution in the FGM layer, and the method of separation of variables is applied for the solution in the porous piezoelectric medium. The dependence of the wave frequency on the wave number is obtained for both electrically open and short cases. The effects of the gradient coefficient of the FGM layer, the initial stresses (tensile stress and compressive stress), and the width of the FGM layer are marked distinctly and shown graphically. The findings may contribute towards the design and optimization of acoustic wave devices.

This paper presents a two-dimensional unsteady laminar boundary layer mixed convection flow heat and mass transfer along a vertical plate filled with Casson nanofluid located in a porous quiescent medium that contains both nanoparticles and gyrotactic microorganisms. This permeable vertical plate is assumed to be moving in the same direction as the free stream velocity. The flow is subject to a variable heat flux, a zero nanoparticle flux and a constant density of motile microorganisms on the surface. The free stream velocity is time-dependent resulting in a non-similar solution. The transport equations are solved using the bivariate spectral quasilinearization method. A grid independence test for the validity of the result is given. The significance of the inclusion of motile microorganisms to heat transfer processes is discussed. We show, inter alia, that introducing motile microorganisms into the flow reduces the skin friction coefficient and that the random motion of the nanoparticles improves the rate of transfer of the motile microorganisms.

series of data samples was collected with the Belle Ⅱ detector at the superKEKB collider from March 2019 to June *** determine the integrated luminosities of these data samples using three distinct methodologies involving Bhabha(e^(+)e^(-)→e^(+)e^(-)(ny),digamma(e^(+)e^(-)→γγ(nγ),and dimuon(e^(+)e^(-)→μ^(+)μ^(-)(nγ)*** total integrated luminosity obtained with Bhabha,digamma,and dimuon events is(426.88±0.03±2.61)fb^(-1),(429.28±0.03±2.62)fb^(-1),and(423.99±0.04±3.83)fb^(-1),where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are *** resulting total integrated luminosity obtained from the combination of the three methods is(427.87±2.01)fb^(-1).

Bio-inspired helicoidal composite laminates, inspired by the intricate helical structures found in nature, present a promising frontier for enhancing the mechanical properties of structural designs. Hence, this study provides a comprehensive investigation into the nonlinear free vibration and nonlinear bending behavior of bio-inspired composite plates. The inverse hyperbolic shear deformation theory(IHsDT) of plates is employed to characterize the displacement field, with the incorporation of Green-Lagrange nonlinearity. The problem is modeled using the C0finite element method(FEM), and an in-house code is developed in the MATLAB environment to solve it numerically. Various helicoidal layup configurations including helicoidal recursive(HR), helicoidal exponential(HE), helicoidal semi-circular(Hs), linear helicoidal(LH), and Fibonacci helicoidal(FH)with different layup sequences and quasi-isotropic configurations are studied. The model is validated, and parametric studies are conducted. These studies investigate the effects of layup configurations, side-to-thickness ratio, modulus ratios, boundary conditions, and loading conditions at different load amplitudes on the nonlinear vibration and nonlinear bending behaviors of bio-inspired composite plates. The results show that the laminate sequence exerts a substantial impact on both nonlinear natural frequencies and nonlinear bending behaviors. Moreover, this influence varies across different side-to-thickness ratios and boundary conditions of the bio-inspired composite plate.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is the most common neurodegenerative disorder characterized by slow and progressive decline of cognitive and memory *** only approximately 5%of the cases,AD is familial,as often predisposed by genetic mutations(Hoogmartens et al.,2021),while sporadic AD accounts for approximately 95%of the *** amyloid cascade hypothesis is one of the fundamental hypotheses put out to explain AD pathogenesis as dysregulated homeostasis of amyloid-β(Aβ)peptides that leads to the accumulation of Aβplaques in the parenchyma,an anatomical hallmark of AD.
