Development of a convolutional neural network based geomechanical upscaling technique for heterogeneous geological reservoir

Geomechanical assessment using coupled reservoir-geomechanical simulation is becoming increasingly important for analyzing the potential geomechanical risks in subsurface geological ***,a robust and efficient geomechanical upscaling technique for heterogeneous geological reservoirs is lacking to advance the applications of three-dimensional(3D)reservoir-scale geomechanical simulation considering detailed geological ***,we develop convolutional neural network(CNN)proxies that reproduce the anisotropic nonlinear geomechanical response caused by lithological heterogeneity,and compute upscaled geomechanical properties from CNN *** CNN proxies are trained using a large dataset of randomly generated spatially correlated sand-shale realizations as inputs and simulation results of their macroscopic geomechanical response as *** trained CNN models can provide the upscaled shear strength(R^(2)>0.949),stress-strain behavior(R^(2)>0.925),and volumetric strain changes(R^(2)>0.958)that highly agree with the numerical simulation results while saving over two orders of magnitude of computational *** is a major advantage in computing the upscaled geomechanical properties directly from geological realizations without the need to perform local numerical simulations to obtain the geomechanical *** proposed CNN proxybased upscaling technique has the ability to(1)bridge the gap between the fine-scale geocellular models considering geological uncertainties and computationally efficient geomechanical models used to assess the geomechanical risks of large-scale subsurface development,and(2)improve the efficiency of numerical upscaling techniques that rely on local numerical simulations,leading to significantly increased computational time for uncertainty quantification using numerous geological realizations.

High-throughput screening of single-atom catalysts confined in monolayer black phosphorus for efficient nitrogen reduction reaction

The discovery of metal-nitrogen centers as the active sites for electrolysis has a.oused significant interest in utilizing single-atom catalysts for nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR).Properly designed nanostructured catalysts that strongly interact with nitrogen molecules(N_(2))can promote adsorption and activation,thereby resulting in efficient catalysts with high stability,activity,and *** this study,using density functional theory calculations,we selected monolayer black phosphorus(BP)as the substrate and screened a series of single-atom transition metals confined in tri-coordinated and tetra-coordinated active centers(without and with N dopants)to electro-catalyze *** a result,we have identified two promising candidates(Hf_(1)-N_(1)P_(2)-1 and Tc_(1)-N_(4)),which exhibit not only low overpotentials of 0.56 and 0.49 V but also high thermodynamic and electrochemical stability,as well as good selectivity towards NRR over the competing hydrogen evolution *** also demonstrate the ability of Hf_(1)-N_(1)P_(2)-1 and Tc_(1)-N_(4) to activate and hydrogenate N_(2) by donating electrons and regulating charge *** study not only predicts new BP-based promising catalysts but also provides guidance for the rational design of high-performance NRR electrocatalysts under ambient conditions.

Performance Prediction Based Workload scheduling in Co-Located Cluster

Cloud service providers generally co-locate online services and batch jobs onto the same computer cluster,where the resources can be pooled in order to maximize data center resource *** to resource competition between batch jobs and online services,co-location frequently impairs the performance of online *** study presents a quality of service(Qos)prediction-based schedulingmodel(QPsM)for *** performance prediction of QPsM consists of two parts:the prediction of an online service’s Qos anomaly based on XGBoost and the prediction of the completion time of an offline batch job based on ***-line service Qos anomaly prediction is used to evaluate the influence of batch jobmix on on-line service performance,and batch job completion time prediction is utilized to reduce the total waiting time of batch *** the same number of batch jobs are scheduled in experiments using typical test sets such as Cloudsuite,the scheduling time required by QPsM is reduced by a.out 6 h on average compared with the first-come,first-served strategy and by a.out 11 h compared with the random scheduling *** with the non-co-located situation,QPsM can improve CPU resource utilization by 12.15% and memory resource utilization by 5.7% on *** show that the QPsM scheduling strategy proposed in this study can effectively guarantee the quality of online services and further improve cluster resource utilization.

Crowdsourcing RTK:a new GNss positioning framework for building spatial high-resolution atmospheric maps based on massive vehicle GNss data

High-quality spatial atmospheric delay correction information is essential for achieving fast integer ambiguity resolution(AR)in precise ***,traditional real-time precise positioning frameworks(i.e.,NRTK and PPP-RTK)depend on spatial low-resolution atmospheric delay correction through the expensive and sparsely distributed CORs *** results in limited public *** the mass production of autonomous driving vehicles,more cost-effective and widespread data sources can be explored to create spatial high-resolution atmospheric *** this study,we propose a new GNss positioning framework that relies on dual base stations.ma.sive vehicle GNss data,and crowdsourced atmospheric delay correction maps(CAM).The map is easily produced and updated by vehicles equipped with GNss receivers in a crowd-sourced ***,the map consists of between-station single-differenced ionospheric and tropospheric *** introduce the whole framework of CAM initialization for individual vehicles,on-cloud CAM maintenance,and CAM-augmented user-end *** map data are collected and preprocessed in ***,the crowdsourced data are uploaded to a cloud *** massive data from multiple vehicles are merged in the cloud to update the CAM in ***,the CAM will augment the user positioning *** framework forms a beneficial cycle where the CAM’s spatial resolution and the user positioning performance mutually improve each *** validate the performance of the proposed framework in real-world experiments and the applied potency at different spatial *** highlight that this framework is a reliable and practical positioning solution that meets the requirements of ubiquitous high-precision positioning.

Examining the spatiotemporal Dynamics and Determinants of Land Urbanization in Prefecture-level Cities,China

Examining the spatiotemporal dynamics and determinants of land urbanization is critical for promoting healthy urban development and the rational use of land *** on the dataset consisting of land use change data and selected factors in 2010 and2020,this study used visual analysis to reveal the spatiotemporal dynamics of land urbanization across prefecture-level cities in ***,the driving forces underlying land urbanization were examined by using geographical detector *** are the findings:1)we find that there exist notable spatial variances in land urbanization across prefecture-level ***,the differentiation in land urbanization between the northern and southern cities is more pronounced than that between the coastal and inland cities,or between the eastern and western ***-level cities located in central and western China have experienced the most rapid growth in land ***,the growth rate in northeastern China is the lowest,while the velocity in eastern China remains relatively *** using spatial autocorrelation analysis,this study reveals that the land urbanization level in prefecture-level cities has significant spatial agglomeration.2)We further find that land urbanization in China is influenced by factors related to urban land supply and demand,and urban population growth,economic growth,land financial and political incentive have greater impact on land urbanization than other factors.3)We also find that the impacts of determinants on China’s land urbanization vary over time,the explanatory power of economic development increased,while the explanatory power of state forces *** argue that integrating the supply and demand factors of land urbanization can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the driving mechanisms underlying land urbanization in China and other transitional countries,and help decision-makers in these countries formulate more detailed and specif

social Robot Detection Method with Improved Graph Neural Networks

social robot accounts controlled by artificial intelligence or humans are active in social networks,bringing negative impacts to network security and social *** social robot detection methods based on graph neural networks suffer from the problem of many social network nodes and complex relationships,which makes it difficult to accurately describe the difference between the topological relations of nodes,resulting in low detection accuracy of social *** paper proposes a social robot detection method with the use of an improved neural ***,social relationship subgraphs are constructed by leveraging the user’s social network to disentangle intricate social relationships ***,a linear modulated graph attention residual network model is devised to extract the node and network topology features of the social relation subgraph,thereby generating comprehensive social relation subgraph features,and the feature-wise linear modulation module of the model can better learn the differences between the ***,user text content and behavioral gene sequences are extracted to construct social behavioral features combined with the social relationship subgraph ***,social robots can be more accurately identified by combining user behavioral and relationship *** carrying out experimental studies based on the publicly available datasets TwiBot-20 and Cresci-15,the suggested method’s detection accuracies can achieve 86.73%and 97.86%,*** with the existing mainstream approaches,the accuracy of the proposed method is 2.2%and 1.35%higher on the two *** results show that the method proposed in this paper can effectively detect social robots and maintain a healthy ecological environment of social networks.
