Inflammation is a common phenomenon in wound healing and upon implantation of cell supportive matrices(i.e. scaffolds) on defect sites. Local and nonlocal drug administrations are the two ways of delivering drugs(for example anti-inflammatory drugs) to wound sites. since localized drug delivery via scaffolds can overcome the disadvantages of systemic(nonlocal) drug delivery, the use of scaffolds as drug delivery vehicle is growing rapidly in tissue engineering field. moreover, in most cases of tissue regeneration, it is necessary to develop scaffolds that can mimic native three dimensional(3D) extracellular matrices(ECms) either in vitro or in vivo. In such cases, the scaffolds should bear the properties required for high cell infiltration. For exact mimicking the native 3D ECms, ultrafine fibrous morphology of the scaffold with sufficient inter fiber gaps(for high cell infiltration) is obvious. Recently, ultrafine fibrous three dimensional(UF3D) scaffolds were developed via ultra-low concentration phase separation technique(ULCPs) where the scaffolds exhibited the potential to mimic native 3D ECms like morphology. If drugs can be delivered from UF3 D scaffolds in a sustained manner, it can add more value to the tissue engineering field. But no work reported drug loading and release profile from UF3 D scaffolds and only a limited number of materials were used to prepare such scaffolds before. Proteins were used frequently by researchers in tissue engineering field for their biodegradability and biocompatibility. moreover, water is used as solvent for most proteins which reduces risk of toxic contamination. so, proteins namely gelatin(Gt), regenerated silk fibroin(RsF) and fibrinogen(FB) were initially chosen in this work for fabrication of UF3 D scaffolds and followed by drug loading and release experiments. marked alterations in the normal female hormonal milieu in the perimenopausal period significantly affect women’s health,leading to decreased well-being,psychological distress,and impaired quality of *** menopausal symp-toms include hot flashes,sleep and mood changes,fatigue,weight gain,and urogenital *** often neglect mood swings and disrupted sleep,although those can significantly limit the productivity of women and impair their cognitive function and mental ***-based management should include a personalized,holistic approach to alleviate symptoms and careful consideration of the risks vs benefits of hormone replacement therapy(HRT),with due consideration of personal preferences.A research paper in the recent issue of the World Journal of Psychiatry by Liu et al investigated the role of HRT in altering mood changes and impaired sleep quality in menopausal women,which helps us to understand the benefits of this treatment approach.

The age at which a woman enters natural menopause has also been associated to death from any cause. menopause is a natural component of aging that happens between the ages of 45 and 55, with the average menopausal age being 51. Previous research has revealed the age at which women reach menopause, but there is no evidence to support the link between menopause and longevity. We made a study in assessing the limits of maximum lifespan at menopausal age in our previous article. In this paper, we aim to predict the maximum lifespan of women at mean menopausal age.

Possibilities of urban flood reduction through distributed-scale rainwater harvesting

Urban flooding in Chittagong City usually occurs during the monsoon season and a rainwater harvesting(RWH)system can be used as a remedial *** study examines the feasibility of rain barrel RWH system at a distributed scale within an urbanized area located in the northwestern part of Chittagong City that experiences flash flooding on a regular *** flood modeling,the storm water management model(sWmm)was employed with rain barrel low-impact development(LID)as a flood reduction *** Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis system(HEC-RAs)inundation model was coupled with sWmm to observe the detailed and spatial extent of flood *** to sWmm simulated floods,the simulated inundation depth using remote sensing data and the HEC-RAs showed a reasonable match,i.e.,the correlation coefficients were found to be 0.70 and 0.98,***,using LID,i.e.,RWH,a reduction of 28.66%could be achieved for reducing flood ***,the study showed that 10%e60%imperviousness of the subcatchment area can yield a monthly RWH potential of 0.04e0.45 m3 from a square meter of rooftop *** model can be used for necessary decision making for flood reduction and to establish a distributed RWH system in the study area.
