Purpose–The purpose of this paper is to propose a model to map the on-premise computing system of the university with cloud computing for achieving an effective and reliable university e-governance(e-gov)***/methodology/approach–The proposed model incorporates the university’s internal e-gov system with cloud computing in order to achieve better reliability,accessibility and availability of e-gov services while keeping the recurring expenditure *** model has been implemented(and tested on a university e-gov system)in the University of kashmir(UOk);case study of this implementation has been chosen as the research methodology to discuss and demonstrate the proposed ***–According to the results based on practical implementation,the proposed model is ideal for e-governed systems as it provided adequate cost savings and high availability(HA)with operational ease,apart from continuing to have the necessary security in place to maintain confidential information such as student details,grades,*** implications–The implication of this study is to achieve HA and to reduce the cost from using external clouds,mapping internal IT servers of the university with the external cloud computing ***/value–Because no established mapping model for universities has been provided for effective,low-cost,highly available university e-gov system,the proposed mapping model through this paper closes this gap and provides guidelines to implement a hybrid-mapped e-gov model for universities while keeping the recurring expenditure on cloud computing *** paper provides the perceptions of its adoption at UOk for achieving high reliability,accessibility and uptime of its e-gov applications while keeping the recurring expenditure on cloud computing minimal.

Regression analysis of squeezing-induced hybrid nanofluid flow in Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium

This article presents a mathematical model addressing a scenario involving a hybrid nanofluid flow between two infinite parallel plates. One plate remains stationary, while the other moves downward at a squeezing velocity. The space between these plates contains a Darcy-Forchheimer porous medium. A mixture of water-based fluid with gold(Au) and silicon dioxide(si O2) nanoparticles is formulated. In contrast to the conventional Fourier's heat flux equation, this study employs the Cattaneo-Christov heat flux equation. A uniform magnetic field is applied perpendicular to the flow direction, invoking magnetohydrodynamic(mHD) effects. Further, the model accounts for Joule heating, which is the heat generated when an electric current passes through the fluid. The problem is solved via NDsolve in mATHEmATICA. Numerical and statistical analyses are conducted to provide insights into the behavior of the nanomaterials between the parallel plates with respect to the flow, energy transport, and skin *** findings of this study have potential applications in enhancing cooling systems and optimizing thermal management strategies. It is observed that the squeezing motion generates additional pressure gradients within the fluid, which enhances the flow rate but reduces the frictional drag. Consequently, the fluid is pushed more vigorously between the plates, increasing the flow velocity. As the fluid experiences higher flow rates due to the increased squeezing effect, it spends less time in the region between the plates. The thermal relaxation, however, abruptly changes the temperature, leading to a decrease in the temperature fluctuations.

This paper presents an in-depth understanding of Availability, which is one of the important pillars of Information security and yet is not taken too seriously while talking about the security of an information system. The paper highlights the importance of Availability w.r.t. security of information and the other attributes of security and also gives a realistic shape to the existing CIA triad security model. An in-depth understanding of the various factors that can impact the Availability of an information system (software, Hardware and Network) is given. The paper also gives a categorization of the type of Availability that a system can have. The paper also explains the relation between Availability and other security attributes and also explains through what issues an information system may go while providing Availability.

Dynamics of entanglement protection of two qubits using a driven laser field and detunings:Independent and common,markovian and/or non-markovian regimes

Preventing quantum entanglement from decoherence effect is of theoretical and practical importance in the quantum information processing *** this regard,we consider the entanglement dynamics of two identical qubits where the qubits which are coupled to two independent（markovian and/or non-markovian） as well as a common reservoir at zero temperature are further interacted with a classical driving laser ***,we study the preservation of generated two-qubit entanglement in various situations using the concurrence *** is shown that by applying the classical driving field and so the possibility of controlling the Rabi frequency,the amount of entanglement of the two-qubit system is improved in the off-resonance condition between the qubit and the central cavity frequencies（central detuning） in both non-markovian and markovian *** the central detuning has a constructive role,the detuning between the qubit and the classical field（laser detuning） affects negatively on the entanglement *** obtained results show that long-living entanglement in the non-markovian reservoir is more accessible than in the markovian *** demonstrate that,in a common reservoir non-zero stationary entanglement is achievable whenever the two-qubit system is coupled to the reservoir with appropriate values of relative coupling strengths.

The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(PA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(msk)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving msk anatomy knowledge,PA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of msk concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in PA based interventions to supplement msk course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating PA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

New ternary superconducting compound LaRu2As2： Physical properties from density functional theory calculations

In this paper, we perform the density functional theory （DFT） -based calculations by the first-principles pseudopo- tential method to investigate the physical properties of the newly discovered superconductor LaRu2As2 for the first time. The optimized structural parameters are in good agreement with the experimental results. The calculated independent elas- tic constants ensure the mechanical stability of the compound. The calculated Cauchy pressure, Pugh＇s ratio as well as Poisson＇s ratio indicate that LaRu2As2 should behave as a ductile material. Due to low Debye temperature, LaRu2As2 may be used as a thermal barrier coating （TBC） material. The new compound should exhibit metallic nature as its valence bands overlap considerably with the conduction bands. LaRu2As2 is expected to be a soft material and easily machinable because of its low hardness value of 6.8 GPa. The multi-band nature is observed in the calculated Fermi surface. A highly anisotropic combination of ionic, covalent and metallic interactions is expected to be in accordance with charge density calculation.

Correction of failure in antenna array using matrix pencil technique

In this paper a non-iterative technique is developed for the correction of faulty antenna array based on matrix pencil technique（mPT）. The failure of a sensor in antenna array can damage the radiation power pattern in terms of sidelobes level and nulls. In the developed technique, the radiation pattern of the array is sampled to form discrete power pattern information set. Then this information set can be arranged in the form of Hankel matrix（Hm） and execute the singular value decomposition（sVD）. By removing nonprincipal values, we obtain an optimum lower rank estimation of Hm. This lower rank matrix corresponds to the corrected pattern. Then the proposed technique is employed to recover the weight excitation and position allocations from the estimated matrix. Numerical simulations confirm the efficiency of the proposed technique, which is compared with the available techniques in terms of sidelobes level and nulls.

Insights into structural and spectroscopic characterization of sm^(3+)doped orange rich red emitting CsmgPO_(4)phosphors

In the present study,sm^(3+)activated inorganic orthophosphate CsmgPO_(4)(CsmP)phosphors were prepared by adopting a solid-state reaction *** structural phase purity and morphological features were studied by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(sEm),*** molecular structure and vibrational modes were substantiated with the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and Raman spectroscopy *** optical bandgap of the host and sm^(3+)doped phosphors was deduced from the diffused reflectance(DR)spectra with a typical value of 5.72 eV and a small variation is observed with increasing concentrations.A systematic study of photoluminescence(PL)properties of sm^(3+)doped CsmP phosphors was carried *** the room temperature excitation and emission spectra,it is found that the phosphor emits in the orange rich red light under the suitable excitation of 402 nm in the UV region and concentration quenching occurs at x=0.02 doping *** emission peaks observed at around 562,598 and 644 nm confirm the characteristic sm^(3+)4 f-4 f *** temperature-dependent photoluminescence(TD-PL)of the x=0.02(optimum doping)is recorded from 30 to 210℃,showing good thermal stability even at 150℃.The thermal quenching mechanisms are discussed based on the configuration coordinate model of excitation and *** prepared phosphors are found to exhibit near thermal stability compared to the commercially available red *** decay time and quantum efficiency were *** colour coordinates are found to lie in the orangish-red region of the colour *** the prepared phosphors CsmP:x sm^(3+)can be useful as a red component in designing UV excitable chip-based phosphor-converted white LED applications.

Unlike fresh farm produce,processed fruits and vegetables such as sun dried tomatoes can be categorized as ambient temperature shelf stable ***,large quantities of these products yet easily go bad most especially when the appropriate conditions for their storage are not *** minimize these losses,it is important to know and exploit the optimum environmental conditions and moisture content range for the storage of the *** present study through systematic theoretical assertions employed by other researchers on other crops seeks to establish the storage stability of dried tomato slice at three probable temperatures of 10,30 and 45°*** showed that in this temperature range,upper limit moisture content varied between 6%-7.5%and 6.5%-8.3%*** adsorption and desorption,*** corresponding lower limit moisture contents varied between 4.29%-5.52%and 5.15%-6.29%*** order to minimize moisture migration into or out of dried tomato slice during storage,the study revealed that the product should be stored within 29%-62%relative humidity.
