Esophageal Cancer Metastasis to the Eye: A Case Report and Literature Review

Ocular metastasis is an uncommon occurrence that usually has a poor prognosis. The most frequent causes of intraocular metastases as reported in the literature are breast and lung cancers. Intraocular metastasis originating from esophageal cancer is very rare. w. discuss a case of 58 years old man know. case of adenocarcinoma of the esophagogastric junction presenting w.th ocular metastasis in King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah, saudi Arabia. Clinical symptoms led to the investigations and diagnosis of the ocular metastasis w.ich w.thout these symptoms it w.uld have been missed. w. concluded that a careful and good review.of the w.ole body is essential in the optimal diagnosis of metastatic lesions especially w.en it comes to a rare metastasis like ocular metastasis from esophageal cancer.

Bilothorax or Cholethorax is the accumulation of bilious effusion in the thorax. It is a rare condition in w.ich bile passes into the pleural space from the abdominal cavity, necessitating urgent treatment. This article aims to present a case of bilothorax treated successfully in our institute and review.the literature on this topic to better understand this medical problem and the best w.ys of dealing w.th it. w. presented in this article a case of bilothorax after an attempt of biliary drainage in a know. pancreatic cancer patient and the w.y w. managed it. w. concluded about the importance of the early recognition of this medical problem and the necessity of aggressive and early management to prevent further morbidities and mortality.
