Constraining the relativistic mean-field models from PREX-2 data:effective forces revisited

Based on the current measurement of the neutron distribution radius(R_(n))of ^(208)Pb from the PREX-2 data,we revisited the recently developed G3 and IOPB-I force parameters by fine-tuning some specific couplings within the relativistic mean-field(RMF)model.Theω-ρ-mesons coupling and theρ-meson coupling are constrained to the experimental neutron radius of^(208)Pb without compromising the bulk properties of finite nuclei and infinite nuclear matter observables.The modified parameter sets are applied to calculate the gross properties of finite nuclei such as binding energies,charge distributions,nuclear radii,pairing gaps,and single-particle energies.The root-mean-square deviations in binding energy and charge radius are estimated with respect to the available experimental data for 195 even-even nuclei,and the results compare favourably with the well-calibrated effective interactions of skyrme,Gogny and other relativistic mean-field parametrizations.The pairing gap estimations for modified G3 and IOPB-I for sn isotopes are also compared with the Hartree-Fock-Bogoliubov calculation with the Gogny(D1s)interaction.The isotopic shift and single-particle energy spacing are also calculated and compared with the experimental data for both original and modified versions of the G3 and IOPB-I parameter sets.subsequently,both the modified parameter sets are used to obtain the various infinite nuclear matter observables at saturation.In addition to these,the force parameters are adopted to calculate the properties of a high isospin asymmetry dense system such as neutron star matter and tested for validation using the constraint from GW170817 binary neutron star merger events.The tuned forces predict relatively good results for finite and infinite nuclear matter systems and the current limitation on the neutron radius from PREX-2.A systematic analysis using these two refitted parameter sets over the nuclear chart will be communicated shortly.

The Fifth-Generation(5G)cellular and wireless communication envisage to integrate multiple technologies to provide a wide range of applications.The rapid growth of Information and Communication Technology(ICT)needs a common cellular platform to increase the network’s extensibility and adaptability.The Cloud Radio Access Network(C-RAN)offers a scalable and flexible Base station(Bs)architecture for the next-generation wireless and mobile networks,where the Bs functionality is split into a distributed radio unit known as Remote Radio Head(RRH)and a Centralized BaseBand Unit(C-BBU).To further make the C-BBU scalable and flexible,the baseband signal processing is carried out over a virtualized platform.The load at the RRH and C-BBU can vary from under-loaded to overloaded conditions which increase the power consumption and degrade the Quality-of-service(Qos)of the C-RAN.In this paper,we formulate under-loaded and overloaded conditions at the RRH and the C-BBU,and propose a Co-operative Load Balancing(CLB)algorithm for handling the cellular traffic in real-time under different load conditions.The proposed CLB aims to maximize the utilization of hardware resources at the RRH and C-BBU.The CLB algorithm is compared with CDI,CZ,NDLB,DLB in the first phase for the RF load balancing.In the second phase of simulation,CLB is compared with the FCFs,IWRR,OLB,GP and TLB algorithms for server(C-BBU)load balancing.The parameters considered for comparison are:User Entity(UE)waiting time,blocking probability and processing time at the RRH and the C-BBU.simulation results show that the use of co-operative load balancing technique improves the Qos in the C-RAN by reducing the blocking probability and UE waiting time.The CLB algorithm is validated with LTE TU-Vienna and cloudsim simulators for the RRH and the C-BBU,respectively.

We study the structural properties of some light mass nuclei using two different formalisms(i) a recently developed simple effective interaction in the frame work of microscopic non-relativistic Hartree-Fock method and(ii)the well-known relativistic mean field approach with NL3 parameter set. The bulk properties like binding energy, root mean square radii and quadrupole deformation parameter are estimated and compared with the available experimental data. The predicted results of both the formalisms are well comparable with the experimental observations. The analysis of density profiles of these light mass nuclei suggest that22 O,23F,34 si and46Ar have bubble like structure.

crucial application to the existence of exotic nuclei. The effective relativistic meanfield formalism(E-RMF), with NL3, FsUGarnet, G3 and IOPB-I interactions, is adopted for analysis of the ground state properties of proton emitters. Furthermore, in the E-RMF background, the Wentzel-karmers-Brillouin(WkB)barrier penetration method is used for the calculation of proton emission half-lives. It is found that the calculated halflives are in good agreement with the experimental results for all emitters considered in this study.

The late Maastrichtian witnessed substantial surges in Deccan volcanism,prompting the hypothesis that these voluminous pulses may have instigated repeated episodes of ocean acidification during this period.The Cretaceous-Palaeogene(k/Pg)boundary at Bidart(France)is preceded by a~0.5 m thick interval with geochemical and taphonomic vestiges of an ocean acidification event linked with Deccan volcanism.New planktic foraminifera census and morphometric data now confirm biotic stress conditions related to acidification in the Deccan benchmark interval.The absolute abundance data of larger(>150μm)heavily calcified planktic morphogroups show fluctuating populations throughout zone CF1(spanning the final~225 ky),lowest peaks within the Deccan benchmark,and a demographic collapse(>90%)at the k/Pg boundary.The analyzed species are generally reduced in size,with thinner test walls in this~0.5 m interval,indicating the likelihood of calcification stress as a contributor to the overall biotic stress.At the k/Pg boundary,maximum biotic stress is recorded in all the tested faunal proxies.A preliminary graphic correlation of zone CF1 at Bidart with the auxiliary GssP at Elles(Tunisia)constrains the Deccan benchmark interval of high biotic stress to the final~58ky of the late Maastrichtian,culminating in the k/Pg mass extinction.The volcanogenic Hg peaks coincident with faunal and taphonomic evidence of ocean acidification strengthen the Deccan-related ocean acidification hypothesis.

Background: Bifurcation lesions pose a high risk for adverse events after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Evidence supporting the benefits of the two-stent strategy (2ss) for treating coronary bifurcation lesions in India is limited. This study aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes of various 2sss for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty for bifurcation lesions in India. Materials and Methods: This retrospective, observational, multicentric, real-world study included 64 patients over 8 years. Data on demographics, medical history, PCI procedures, and outcomes were recorded. Descriptive statistics were computed using the sPss software. Results: Patients (n = 64) had an average age of 65.3 ± 11.1 years, with 78.1% males. Acute coronary syndrome was reported in 18.8%, chronic stable angina in 40.6%, and unstable angina in 34.4% of participants. Two-vessel disease was observed in 98.4% of patients, and 99.4% had true bifurcation lesions. The commonly involved vessels were the left anterior descending artery (50%), left circumflex coronary artery (34.4%), and first diagonal artery (43.8%). Mean percent diameter stenosis was 87.2% ± 10.1%. The mean number of stents used was 2.00 ± 0.34. The 2ss techniques included the T and small protrusion (TAP) (39.1%), double kissing (Dk) crush (18.8%), and the culotte techniques (14.1%). Procedural and angiographic success rate was 92.18%. Major adverse cardiovascular events at 1-year follow-up occurred in 7.8% of cases. Conclusion: The 2ss for bifurcation lesions showed favorable in-hospital and follow-up outcomes. Findings can serve as a resource for bifurcation angioplasty in India. Larger real-world studies with robust methodology are needed to validate these results.

Novel eco-efficient reactive distillation process for dimethyl carbonate production by indirect alcoholysis of urea

Dimethyl carbonate is an eco-friendly essential chemical that can be sustainably produced from CO_(2),which is available from carbon capture activities or can even be captured from the air.The rapid increase in dimethyl carbonate demand is driven by the fast growth of polycarbonates,solvent,pharmaceutical,and lithium-ion battery industries.Dimethyl carbonate can be produced from CO_(2)through various chemical pathways,but the most convenient route reported is the indirect alcoholysis of urea.Previous research used techniques such as heat integration and reactive distillation to reduce the energy use and costs,but the use of an excess of methanol in the trans-esterification step led to an energy intensive extractive distillation required to break the dimethyl carbonate-methanol azeotrope.This work shows that the production of dimethyl carbonate by indirect alcoholysis of urea can be improved by using an excess of propylene carbonate(instead of an excess of methanol),a neat feat that we showed it requires only 2.64 kW·h·kg^(-1) dimethyl carbonate in a reaction-separation-recycle process,and a reactive distillation column that effectively replaces two conventional distillation columns and the reactor for dimethyl carbonate synthesis.Therefore,less equipment is required,the methanol-dimethyl carbonate azeotrope does not need to be recycled,and the overall savings are higher.Moreover,we propose the use of a reactive distillation column in a heat integrated process to obtain high purity dimethyl carbonate(>99.8 wt-%).The energy requirement is reduced by heat integration to just 1.25 kW·h·kg^(-1) dimethyl carbonate,which is about 52%lower than the reaction-separation-recycle process.To benefit from the energy savings,the dynamics and control of the process are provided for10%changes in the nominal rate of 32 ktpy dimethyl carbonate,and for uncertainties in reaction kinetics.

synthesis and consolidation behavior of Cu–8 at%Cr alloy powders made by mechanical alloying with elemental Cu and Cr powders,and subsequently,compressive and electrical properties of the consolidated alloys were studied.solid solubility of Cr in Cu during milling,and subsequent phase transformations during sintering and heat treatment of sintered components were analyzed using X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.The milled powders were compacted applying three different pressures(200 MPa,400 MPa and 600 MPa)and sintered in H2atmosphere at 900 1C for 30 min and at 1000 1C for 1 h and 2 h.The maximum densification(92.8%)was achieved for the sample compacted at 600 MPa and sintered for 1000 1C for 2 h.Hardness and densification behavior further increased for the compacts sintered at 900 1C for 30 min after rolling and annealing process.TEM investigation of the sintered compacts revealed the bimodal distribution of Cu grains with nano-sized Cr and Cr2O3precipitation along the grain boundary as well as in grain interior.Pinning of grain boundaries by the precipitates stabilized the fine grain structure in bimodal distribution.

GIs Based spatial Data Analysis for Landslide susceptibility Mapping

Landslide susceptibility map delineates the potential zones for landslides occurrence. The paper presents a statistical approach through spatial data analysis in GIs for landslide susceptibility mapping in parts of sikkim Himalaya. six important causative factors for landslide occurrences were selected and corresponding thematic data layers were prepared in GIs. Topographic maps,satellite image,field data and published maps constitute the input data for thematic layer preparation. Numerical weights for different categories of these factors were determined based on a statistical approach and the weighted thematic layers were integrated in GIs environment to generate the landslide susceptibility map of the area. The landslide susceptibility map classifies the area into five different landslide susceptible zones i.e.,very high,high,moderate,low and very low. This map was validated using the existing landslide distribution in the area.
