Designing rationally combined metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)with multifunctional nanogeometries is of significant research interest to enable the electrochemical properties in advanced energy storage ***,we explored a new class of binderfree dual-layered Ni-Co-Mn-based MOFs(NCM-based MOFs)with three-dimensional(3D)-on-2D nanoarchitectures through a polarityinduced solution-phase method for high-performance *** hierarchical NCM-based MOFs having grown on nickel foam exhibit a battery-type charge storage mechanism with superior areal capacity(1311.4μAh cm^−2 at 5 mA cm^−2),good rate capability(61.8%;811.67μAh cm^−2 at 50 mA cm^−2),and an excellent cycling *** superior charge storage properties are ascribed to the synergistic features,higher accessible active sites of dual-layered nanogeometries,and exalted redox chemistry of multi metallic guest species,*** bilayered NCM-based MOFs are further employed as a battery-type electrode for the fabrication of supercapattery paradigm with biomass-derived nitrogen/oxygen doped porous carbon as a negative electrode,which demonstrates excellent capacity of 1.6 mAh cm^−2 along with high energy and power densities of 1.21 mWh cm^−2 and 32.49 mW cm^−2,***,the MOF-based supercapattery was further assembled with a renewable solar power harvester to use as a self-charging station for various portable electronic applications.

PTOX Mediates Novel Pathways of Electron rransport in Etioplasts of Arabidopsis

The immutans （im） variegation mutant of Arabidopsis defines the gene for PTOX （plastid terminal oxidase）, a versatile plastoquinol oxidase in chloroplast membranes. In this report we used im to gain insight into the function of PTOX in etioplasts of dark-grown seedlings. We discovered that PTOX helps control the redox state of the plastoquinone （PQ） pool in these organelles, and that it plays an essential role in etioplast metabolism by participating in the desaturation reactions of carotenogenesis and in one or more redox pathways mediated by PGR5 （PROTON GRADIENT REGULATION 5） and NDH （NAD（P）H dehydrogenase）, both of which are central players in cyclic electron transport. We propose that these elements couple PTOX with electron flow from NAD（P）H to oxygen, and by analogy to chlororespiration （in chloroplasts） and chromorespiration （in chromoplasts）, we suggest that they define a respiratory process in etioplasts that we have termed ＂etiorespiration＂. We further show that the redox state of the PQ pool in etioplasts might control chlorophyll biosynthesis, perhaps by participating in mechanisms of retrograde （plastid- to-nucleus） signaling that coordinate biosynthetic and photoprotective activities required to poise the etioplast for light development. We conclude that PTOX is an important component of metabolism and redox sensing in etioplasts.

Transition metal oxide/hydroxide with multif unctional hierarchical nano structures has attracted widespread attention in supercapacitors(sCs)because of their large accessible surface area,high electrochemical activity and superior redox ***,core-shell-like copper(Cu)hydroxide nano tube arrays grafted nickel aluminum layered double hydroxide n anosheets were facilely synthesized on porous Cu foam(CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss)for use as an efficient battery-type electrode in hybrid *** the synergistic effects of NiAl LDH Nss on well-adhered CH NTAs/CF,the core-shell-like composite(prepared for 24 h)delivered a maximum areal capacity of 334.3 pAh/cm2 at a current density of 3 mA/cm2 in 2 M KOH electrolyte,which is comparatively higher than other samples synthesized at different growth ***,the core-shell-like CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss-24 demonstrated an outstanding cycling stability of 134.3%after 10,000 *** high capacity and stability of CH NTAs@NiAI LDH Nss-24,a pouch-type hybrid sC was further assembled with core-shell-like composite as a positive electrode and reduced graphene oxide as a negative electrode with a filter paper as a separator in aqueous alkaline *** hybrid sC showed a high areal capacity of 250 pAh/cm2 at 2 mA/cm2 with maximum areal energy and power densities of 181.9 pWh/cm2 and 24,991.5 pW/cm2,*** harvest!ng the solar energy via solar cell panel and subsequently delivering the stored en ergy to switching and proximity applicati ons also dem on strated the real-time applicability of our hybrid sCs.

Dynamic Time and Location Information in Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption with Multi-Authorization

Due to the mobility of users in an organization,inclusion of dynamic attributes such as time and location becomes the major challenge in Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-Based Encryption(CP-ABE).By considering this challenge;we focus to present dynamic time and location information in CP-ABE with ***ﬁrst,along with the set of attributes of the users,their corre-sponding location is also *** is used to encode the latitude and longitude of the user’s ***,decrypt time period and access time period of users are deﬁned using the new time tree(NTT)*** NTT sets the encrypted duration of the encrypted data and the valid access time of the private key on the data user’s private ***,single authorization of attribute authority(AA)is extended as multi authorization for enhancing the effectiveness of key *** results depict that the proposed CP-ABE achieves better encryption time,decryption time,security level and memory ***,encryption time and decryption time of the proposed CP-ABE are reduced to 19%and 16%than that of existing CP-ABE scheme.

Identification of Protein-Coding Regions in DNA sequences Using A Time-Frequency Filtering Approach

Accurate identification of protein-coding regions （exons） in DNA sequences has been a challenging task in bioinformatics. Particularly the coding regions have a 3-base periodicity, which forms the basis of all exon identifica- tion methods. Many signal processing tools and techniques have been applied successfully for the identification task but still improvement in this direction is needed. In this paper, we have introduced a new promising model-independent time-frequency filtering technique based on s-transform for accurate identification of the coding regions. The s-transform is a powerful linear time-frequency representation useful for filtering in time-frequency domain. The potential of the proposed technique has been assessed through simulation study and the results obtained have been compared with the existing methods using standard datasets. The comparative study demonstrates that the proposed method outperforms its counterparts in identifying the coding regions.

Terminalia arjuna bark extract attenuates picrotoxin-induced behavioral changes by activation of serotonergic,dopaminergic,GABAergic and antioxidant systems

stress and emotion are associated with several illnesses from headaches to heart diseases and immune deficiencies to central nervous system. Terminalia arjuna has been referred as traditional Indian medicine for several ailments. The present study aimed to elucidate the effect of T. arjuna bark extract(TA) against picrotoxin-induced anxiety. Forty two male Balb/c mice were randomly divided into six experimental groups(n = 7): control, diazepam(1.5 mg·kg^(–1)), picrotoxin(1 mg·kg^(–1)) and three TA treatemt groups(25, 50, and 100 mg/kg). Behavioral paradigms and PCR studies were performed to determine the effect of TA against picrotoxin-induced anxiety. The results showed that TA supplementation increased locomotion towards open arm(EPM) and illuminated area(light-dark box test), and increased rearing frequency(open field test) in a dose dependent manner, compared to picrotoxin(P sed number of licks and shocks in Vogel's conflict. PCR studies showed an up-regulation of several genes, such as BDNF, IP_3, D_2L, CREB, GABAA, sOD, GPx, and GR in TA administered groups. In conclusion, alcoholic extract of TA bark showed protective activity against picrotoxin in mice by modulation of genes related to synaptic plasticity, neurotransmitters, and antioxidant enzymes.

A theoretical study on the elastic deformation of cellular phase and creation of necrosis due to the convection reaction process inside a spherical tumor

several biological processes, such as convective nutrient transport and convective drug delivery in biological tissues involves the transvascular and interstitial movement of biofluids. This work addresses transvascular and interstitial transport of nutrient inside a spherical tumor. Most of the biological tissues behave like deformable porous materiM and show mechanical behavior towards the fluid motion, due to the fact, that the forces like the drag, which is associated with fluid flow may compress the tissue material. On the macroscopic level, transport of solutes like nutrients, drug molecules, etc. within the tumor interstitial space is modeled. The hydrodynamic problem is treated with biphasic mixture theory under steady state and spherically symmetry situation. The transvascular transport of nutrient is modeled with the modified sterling＇s equation. The present model describes the overall nutrient distribution and predicts various criteria for the necrosis formation inside the tumor. Present study justifies that the parameters, which controls the nutrient supply to the tumor interstitial space through the blood vessel network inside the tumor, competes with reversible nutrient consumption kinetics of the tumor cells. This study also finds the role of some of those parameters on the deformation of cellular phase of the tumor as a consequence of interstitial fluid flow.

A novel local binary pattern-based reversible data hiding(LBP-RDH)technique has been suggested to maintain a fair symmetry between the perceptual transparency and hiding *** embedding,the image is divided into various 3×3 ***,using the LBP-based image descriptor,the LBP codes for each block are ***,the obtained LBP codes are XORed with the embedding bits and are concealed in the respective blocks using the proposed pixel readjustment ***,each cover image(CI)pixel produces two different stego-image ***,during extraction,the CI pixels are restored without the loss of a single bit of *** outcome of the proposed technique with respect to perceptual transparency measures,such as peak signal-to-noise ratio and structural similarity index,is found to be superior to that of some of the recent and state-of-the-art *** addition,the proposed technique has shown excellent resilience to various stego-attacks,such as pixel difference histogram as well as regular and singular ***,the out-off boundary pixel problem,which endures in most of the contemporary data hiding techniques,has been successfully addressed.

The present investigation reports the soxhlet assisted solvent extraction technique to derive the oil from seeds of the rain *** optimization of the factors affecting the extraction process has been carried out by Response surface Methodology(RsM)technique,and a Box-Behnken Design(BBD)consisting of three process variables has been developed to optimize the yield of *** the RsM technique,the predicted optimum oil yield of 11.15%at an optimized condition of powder weight of 20 g,volume of solvent of 380 mL,and extraction time of 6 *** physiochemical properties of the oil showed liquid greenish-yellow with 0.88,1.473 of specific gravity and refractive index,***,the moisture content,free fatty acid,acid value,saponification value,iodine value,and peroxide value were found to be 0.16%,13.615,27.23,187.1 mg KOH per g oil,65.8 g I_(2) per 100 g,and 4.02 meq O_(2) per kg,*** the obtained results,it was found that the extracted oil could be used for various applications.
